Good Morning EVeryone. 

The week is already off to a great start, the Commanders have started their rebuild, hiring Bob Myers formerly of the Golden State Warriors as an "advisor" to the owner Josh Harris to find a President or GM then on to a coach. Definitely couldn't have picked a much better person to head the search, wouldn't be upset at all if he ended up as Team President!   Lots to happen this off-season and the No. 2 pck in the draft to look forward to.

Good Morning All and Happy Monday!

Cold and snowy here today. Did manage to go to the range during the snow showers on Saturday. Wasn’t that busy (wonder why?). Got a bucket and worked on ball position and follow-thru. Made a big difference. Trying to tune in my wedges for accuracy. So far, so good. Will have to see what happens in the spring when all those feels go out the window on the first round of the year.

Today is National Clean Off your Desk Day AND National Argyle Day! Put on that argyle sweater and go clean off that desk! Styl’in while file’n.

I saw this cartoon recently and thought of @Dead Solid Bogey…. so this is for you my friend.

Still not feeling 100% and wishing my sinuses and throat would clear up soon.

Super excited about my new MNML golf bag that arrived this weekend. Going to find some time today to transfer everything over from the old bag. They have a "Trade it Forward" program where I can send in my old bag to get it into the hands of a deserving junior golfer.

Otherwise riding high from the big Bills win last night! Busy work week ahead but we'll keep the coffee hot and the vibes high.

Good read…. I am and will be carrying multiple makes and versions of woods, hybrids, irons, and wedges in my bag. As others have said; What works for others may not work for you.

I read that book twice before my trip and once afterward, so I could match his descriptions with what I saw with my own two eyes. I think he played 7 of the 8 courses I played, or maybe all 8 (can't remember if he played Eden at St. Andrews, which I did). I loved Machrihanish; it's one of the courses where I'm considering getting an overseas membership. If there were more courses close by, it would probably be my choice.

Good morning, Spies!

Like much of the rest of you, we are frozen.  And it's going to stay that way for a good while.

I weathered the three vax ok; feeling about 90% today.  FABWIFE has had a much worse time of it, with fever, chills, nausea - the works.  We both think it's *way* better than getting any of the things we got vaxxed for, but it still really stinks for her.  

I think my new Maltby TS3 4 iron arrives today.  If so, I will go hit some balls in the simulator this afternoon.  The shipment will also include the Project X wedge shaft so I can test that out too and report in after the build.  Tinkering is all I can do for the next few weeks with the cold sticking around; it will have to suffice.

A white and wet day here in metrowest Boston. Good amount of snow but not a dumping and it's already melting.

Believe it or not it will be mid 50s on Wednesday with torrential tropical rain and 50mph wind gusts. Craziest winter weather so far this year.

First PGA tournament in the books and great to see good-guy Chris Kirk come out on top. Sometimes the good guys do win in the end.

Black Monday in the NFL and many teams haven't waited long. I appreciate the Pats taking their time with BB; he's meant a lot to that franchise and will be treated with the utmost respect.

25 to 35 minute directed workouts that are free with ads (time to rest if you do the Chiseled) and about 15 bucks a month if you don't want ads. There is not an exercise you can do on a weight machine of free weights you cannot do with the resistance bands. I use the Ultra Anchor (the torture device on my garage door), but the regular sets (the amazon link) come with door anchors that work just fine. I started this over a decade ago as I was still globe hopping for BP. Always had my gym with me. Then when I retired and we started motor homing around the states and Alaska I used a roof rack, spare tire, and rear tire as my anchor points. This way I could keep up with my  work outs. Great stress relief after a day of fighting a 30 mile an hour cross wind hitting the side of our 40 foot super C.

This is my set up in the garage. Two other things resistance bands are "no impact" devices. That is they don't pound your joints. The second is you can establish golf specific and targeted work outs.

Thanks for the thought. What I've found over time is that if I want to work out, I have to go to the gym. I've never been able to get it done at home, and I even have trouble just stretching at home. But for stretching and a few other things, I'm trying out the Peloton App on days I don't lift. So we'll see if that helps me going forward.

A little late (but hey it's Monday) but a good morning everyone!!

One of the all too uncommon sunshine-y days here so was just sitting out back with my coffee for a while enjoying it .. then off to chiro .. and now back to enjoy it some more and catch up on forum topics.

Nothing special in the works today, though do have to start thinking about plans for wife's Feb break (may just drive South a bit for a few days) and also her April break .. which is longer and which she's kinda pushing to travel away somewhere.

Anyhow hope your beginning of the week is starting out well enough..!!

Good Monday Morning Spies! 

Chilly 53 degrees this morning at 7am tee time, in Central Florida. Walked 18 holes, wind cooperated by not being windy, which made for a nice walk!  New Phantom X5.5 putter is working well. Hot putting on the front, cooled off a bit on the back eking out a 1 under par round.

Now enjoying a nice hot cup of espresso! working from home today, putting out the Monday morning fires. 
@Shrek74 I know what you mean about working out at home. It's why I like going to the golf course to walk 18 holes & the 6 miles. It's so easy to put things off at the house. Good for you going to gym! Keep it up!

Glad you are on the mend my friend. Kenny, when it comes to dealing with the ruling class, I don’t mind the verbal reprimands, it’s the laser beam stare that does me in…. My advice as a professional survivor; Duck and Cover  my friend,Duck and Cover. Although, ear plugs couldn’t hurt. Bottom line,  just keep getting better!!

Suffering the same weather as @ZoonORama and @GolfSpy_BEN in Ohio. But a hot cup of coffee is in hand and the work day is a well underway. I have a looong meeting this afternoon so yeah that should be fun. NOT!

Enjoyed watching the last round of The Sentry PGA tournament. Beautiful course and awesome shots all around.

I've found the opposite. If I'm going to work out, I have to do it at home. Wouldn't even go to the fitness room at my last apartment complex, maybe 100 yards from my apartment. I've recently found a YouTube video by a personal trainer in the UK named Matt Scott who specializes in golf fitness, and I've done his introductory workout for senior golfers a few times. Did it Saturday and my glutes are still telling me about it... This workout only requires dumbbells, which I have, so no gym equipment needed. If you're the gym type, he has other videos that use cable pulls and other gym equipment. Also has a video that doesn't even require dumbbells; it's body weight stuff.

One of the best golf books out there. For those too lazy or no time to read there is a podcast on the golfers journal where he chronicles much if the journey and the why .

While not suffering the white stuff of our northern brothers it sure is wet here today. Good morning for hot coffee and the opportunity to tell the boss that yesterday's inside activities could have waited ... Hope I didn't think that out loud! 

Supposed to clear out late afternoon but strong winds and cold front due then so no outdoor practice today... Oh well forecast to be nice later in week so I'll look forward to that.

For those of you with resolutions relating to health, the best workout is the one you will do consistently. If working out at home isn't your thing, that's fine. A lot of people find that the environment in a gym suits them better. That's great. For others, at home, being one with the weights is a better experience. Nice pics.  Ahhh.  The Charles River. Many a youthful day spent at holiday events, boating the river, pops concerts with mom at the esplanade half shell. I don't miss ANYTHING about snow, except for its visual enjoyment
