I stumbled onto something cool in the Rapsodo range this evening. When hitting on the range, you can essentially have all of the data points it measures showing while you are swinging:

Very nice! I can't wait to get back on the range and find the time to play as well as test the new Rapsodo features.

To clarify, because I didn’t word it well. The results above were from hitting into a net and using the Rapsodo range option within the app. So all of those metric are available, even when hitting into a net. The dashboard and data available make an already great product even better

OK that's pretty cool.  Also, nice distance and dispersion @GolfSpy_BEN!

Working at getting better ... and very slowly getting there.

Have you tried that with a phone. Haven’t used mine in a month or so and curious if that’s only available with a larger screen on an iPad.

That screen shot was taken on my iPhone, so it’s available regardless of the version of the app being used. Consequently, I’ve been thinking about grabbing an iPad for the larger display. Also kicking around the idea of a projector and screen to give it an actual SIM feel

Got to use my MLM2Pro indoors now that the weather is starting to go crappy. Overall, such a solid launch monitor. The only part where it starts to struggle is with higher swing speeds (110+). I feel like the spin gets a little high and the ball speed compared to the carry distances isn't as accurate.

For example, my 3 wood, when hitting on a Skytrak monitor, I was swinging around 110-112 mph. I was carrying around 245-260 depending on the strike. When testing on my MOM2Pro, it said I was carrying around 220, even when struck well. Now, it could've just been a bad ball striking day, but that number never jumped above 224 yards. Similar with my driver as well. All of the irons seem legit, which is where I'm more concerned with numbers, but something to be cognizant of.

Hey man did you figure out a fix for this? I seem to have the same problem.

I still see a drop off in distance when using my woods. I found it to be slightly better when I adjusted how far away I was standing from the launch monitor. The other thing that oddly makes a difference is the lighting in the hitting area. Sometimes, with too much lighting, it doesn't pick up shots as accurately.

I've seen on YouTube videos that with higher speeds, it starts to struggle. It still picks up the shot shape which is all I'm mainly concerned about.

Did she say sure honey treat yourself to a launch monitor, if so great. If she said FINE !! do what you want FREEZE, do  not move do not breathe until the coast is clear then start doing all the things on the honey do list as hard and fast as you can, whatever you do dont buy that LM.

This is so true.  I've been wanting one for quite some time, but the "fine" keeps me in check.

We has narrowed it down between the Skytrak OG or this MLM Pro2.

I have also narrowed it down to MLM2Pro vs Skytrak. I have enough room for an MLM2Pro but I worry that wedges are going to fly too high and go over my net (8 feet from ball to net gives a 58* plenty of time to get airborne). Skytrak helps get me closer to my net but I am concerned about (a) people seem to HATE the app and have a lot of disconnects and (b) it is old tech that was developed by Rapsodo who now have their own competitor in the MLM2Pro.

I would be using this almost exclusively into a net so the RPT balls aren't really an issue. I also think I could get used to just hitting mid irons on the "range" to get around my net issue. Or just figure out a way to make my net twice as high (two nets?)

Not sure the netting would stop a golf ball. Looks to be geared towards baseball/lacrosse. I have the 10x7 and love it.

Just got the email from Rapsodo announcing another firmware update with a new feature - R-Speed, swing speed training. Now it will measure swing speed without hitting a ball. It shows it will work with the Stack, Rypstick, Superspeed, or other speed training devices.

Rapsodo rocks!  👍

Well after almost a year of deliberating between the OG Skytrak, Rapsodo MLM2Pro and Garmin R10...I have purchased the Rapsodo MLM2Pro. It came down to (a) I have the space for it (at least length wise, not sure if my net will be high enough for wedges but that is a future issue and (b) the app experience and connectivity/setup ease. Seemed like Skytrak doesn't have much support and seems to struggle with connectivity. Garmin R10 worried me a bit from an accuracy standpoint. Ultimately it seems like Rapsodo is supporting their product well and responsive on the customer service side.

I don't love that I have to re-purchase the premium subscription each year (after this year where it is included) but I can also figure that is the cost of 12 large buckets of range balls and/or a nice round or two at a high end public golf course. If I don't feel like I am getting value on it I can try to salvage some value by selling it I presume. I think I will like it! Right now I am excited and it should be delivered next week. Thanks to the testers on this thread who convinced me this was worth my investment.

If I don't feel like I am getting value on it I can try to salvage some value by selling it I presume. I think I will like it! Right now I am excited and it should be delivered next week. Thanks to the testers on this thread who convinced me this was worth my investment.

Honestly, it's a great deal at $200 a year!  I'm testing out the Mevo+ and it doesn't have a yearly subscription but is limited to 10 E6 courses.  I can do an add on for an additional 40 courses for $300/yr or 90 courses for $600/yr so having access to I think I saw 30k courses is unreal!

Absolutely, the graphics aren't up to par with e6, but it is cool to be able to play local courses too.  I've played a course that closed down a few years ago more than once on the Rapsodo for a little bit of nostalgia since it's one that I grew up playing on.

I'll certainly be using it to scope out the Kingsmill courses too before the outing this year!

Thinking of picking one of these up to keep myself sharp as getting out to the course the three kids can be a bit difficult.

I addition to using it at home, I regularly take it to the range and watch the videos later. The firmware updates continue to make this product better and better.

Congrats two of our three were in March. Transitioning to zone defense definitely eats up more time for sure.

IF and when anyone tries the speed training be sure to post about it! I am very curious and looking to get to doing a bit of that when I finish up this work trip. Being able to record swings and see the differences when trying to ramp up speed I think will be really cool!

I'm going to be starting up another session of Stack, so I'll be sure to grab some comparisons between the PRGR and Rapsodo readouts.  I'm just going to doctor it and add 10MPH for both.  🤣

Just tried out the speed training app. I don't have a speed training device so just chose the "other" option and swing the driver as best I could.

First swing read 10 mph higher than anything I've ever put up. Next couple were on the high side average. Then a couple that read 0mph before I quit testing my luck.

Not the best set of controls but my initial test is that it needs a bit of dialing in. Still, when there is no ball to worry about, swinging for the fences really alerts you to what your body is capable of.

Now it's time for some ice.

Love this device. Can't wait to get it back outside when the season changes.

I'm guessing much like when the device first came out there will be servesl patches and updates to help dial it in.

I got mine last night and got it charged up and firmware updated right around 9 pm so, of course, I stayed up until 11 pm messing around with it. Overall, I am pleased with the initial results though there are a few things I think I need to iron out with my setup and lighting and such (I was getting some very strange spin numbers on occasion which I think may be due to low light). I will probably do an unofficial review thread so I don't junk up this one.

Which connection do you all use? Quick Connect - Direct WiFi or Quick Connect - Local Network? I used both and I think direct WiFi is more accurate but it appears that you have to use local network to play courses?
