Got the round in before the rain. What a huge roller coaster. The air was very heavy and the course was soft and slow from all the rain. The ball was not flying as far as normal. This round was all over the place! Blue tees with rating 69.1 and slope 123. Hit 8 fairways, 12 greens and had 28 putts. Had 1 bad double off a horrible drive and 4 bogeys. However, had 7 really solid birdies. Several were kick ins. Thank you partner. It was a roller coaster. Moments of great play and a few of holes I want to forget! However, I do not make 7 birdies in a round that often. Hope we ham and egg it well!

I think my best this year is four birdies, maybe five, so hopefully I can match up some birdies with your bogeys.

I dodged the rain today by playing close to home SE of San Antonio and played fantastic (for me anyway). Had 2-3 holes I'd like back with choices around the green and a couple 3-putts as the sun went down...but I'm very pleased with the round a whole.

Played yesterday and shot a 78.....then played in a Salvation Army charity event.....lotta golf yesterday. But I digress.

Got "dewed" on a bunch of putts today. Short of hole, but on a good line. Couple of off line drives led to punching out or taking chances that I wouldn't normally take, but I got to try to go low for @GolfSpy_BEN! 190 out on hole 13 and almost jarred it for an Eagle.....rattled the pin and left a kick in for Bird. Had another long approach on 14. 195....and rolled up to 8 feet....missed opportunity.

Sounds similar to the rounds we had yesterday.Shotgun starts with no warmups. Makes it harder for sure!

I knew today wasn't going to be my best outing. It started at Dunks. Three days a week I order a large unsweetened ice tea and a sausage wake up wrap (when they don't have my favorite pancake wrap). The associate gave me my beverage, I added my lemon juice and realized it was ice coffee, not tea! Tough 6:10 am wake up call! Once at the course, it didn't get much better!

I was off most of the morning. My fairways in regulation was only 57% with all my lazy misses to the right. I had 17% greens in regulation, but three putted from 53 feet. Too many poorly executed shots. 30 putts and only 4 up and downs for par.

The highlight was a drive right (of course) into the trees on the second hardest and longest par 4. I chipped out, hit a decent 5 wood about pin high but in the left fringe. I chipped in for par without hitting any portion of the fairway! The natural birdie on our par three 16th hole was also something to hang my hat on. Overall, it was just a fair round! I'm hoping to do better for my partner on Thursday!

A very nice round for Team Commonwealth. Overall, 2 over with 3 birdies, 30 putt round with longest drive of 272 yards. Hopefully, it holds up as the competition is fierce, especially those Texas boys, @Javs and @Josh Parker. Course rating 68.7, slope of 122, par 72
