Good morning to all and a good Friday. Enjoying my morning espresso on another spring like day. Had a frustrating half day yesterday playing an exciting game of hurry up and wait, waiting to get my passport renewed. The good news, mission accomplished and I don’t have to do that again for 10 years. Nexus renewal was far easier.
 @GolfSpy_APH Good luck with your move.  Moving is never easy, usually stressful and a huge pain, but oh so nice when you get into the new place and set up the way you want.

Good morning. Had 60s this week so finally hit the range and signed up for a range membership. It's back into the 30s tomorrow but then 50s and 60s Sunday and Monday. Basically, Ohio weather in a nutshell. I feel like this year is the year the golf bug finally takes precedence over brewing. 

I can't wait to get back on the course and start to score in the 80s this year.

No Golf today, Ranger duties. I might work on short game, chipping & a lot of putting after fun job. Finishing up first cup of espresso! Typing on little keyboard interesting, LOL!

Iron striking was a dumpster fire on Wednesday so yesterday was checking my setup and form.  
 

couldnt figure out wtf I was doing.  Was seeing the same bizarre toe hits and fats even with a mat.

Then I looked where I was gripping the club.

basically as far up the grip as I could.  So I choked down maybe half an inch?

yep… I am the dumb.  Even worked with my comedy 18* 4iron.

Good morning MGS! Been down with the flu the last few days which is why I haven’t been posting. Feeling better today and happy about that. Short workday today but cold and rainy so probably no range time today, but my sons last rec league basketball games are tonight and tomorrow night so that’s going to be fun also got a flyer in the mail about a free 4 pack of TP5 or TP5x balls from Dicks/Golf Galaxy tomorrow so gonna take advantage of that as I haven’t played them before. Have great day all!

After 2 50+ days, back to a balmy 37 this morning, low 40's will have to do. Good news is I have a functional sim that we will be Grand Opening this weekend. Bad news is my back is so screwed up from all the work I can't swing LOL. Time will fix that. The back at least. But this Trackman should at least help with the swing

Top of the pot spies!   "Winter" seems to be officially over here in the valley of the sun.  We nearly reached 80F yesterday and today looks like a repeat.  Going to spend time at the range and practice area right after the 1245 shotgun start... come to learn that's the time to go during peak season as it's a ghost town immediately afterwards.  Plus, observed from a safe distance, it's a hoot watching the circus of carts heading out.   Have a great Friday everyone!

Morning all,

My ankle doesn’t hurt this morning, but naturally I don’t have work so it is going to rain. The eggs the wife has in the incubator, only one has hatched and the others don’t look promising. They should have already started hatching yesterday morning. So we may need to find someone with other chicks so the single one doesn’t get lonely and just peep all day. Besides that, gonna build some planter boxes and do some putting on my putting green. Hope everyone has a great day

My knee is getting colorful from previously mentioned tailgate incident.  Don’t think there will be any lasting damage as I can walk just fine.

 I remember playing in summer at 2-3 and no one playing in Arizona. Once played TPC West and played just about all the holes without seeing a soul until I ran into the morning group

Good Friday morning, fellow golfers!  Another golf day which means I will be playing 3 days in a row.  It may be related to global warming, but this is the best February that I remember.  I hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend.

Excellent, @CFreddie! Maybe I can get GF involved on the garage sim, once it's in place. And the invitation still stands if we're in Scotland at the same time (might have to coordinate a bit).

I posted a link on the Fit For Golf Tester thread of the workout I'm doing until the new FFG app is ready. Well... that was sorta true. I'd done bits and pieces of it, but never the entire workout at one time. Until this morning. Hotel fitness room had dumbbells and enough space, and wasn't too busy, so I did the whole thing. I can tell it's going to hit glutes and hamstrings really hard. Followed it up with 1.5 miles on the treadmill, uphill, just in case I hadn't punished my legs enough for one morning. We also have dumbbells at home, so that wasn't my excuse for not doing all of it there.

Long day for me. I see one patient in Raleigh this morning for a 20-minute exam following up on a side effect of our study drug, then drive 90 miles over to Greensboro for one patient, then drive 3+ hours home. Two patients total, but I probably don't get home until after 7 p.m. And it's raining. Yuck.

Good Morning!!

Feeling a bit better today.. l slept 2 and 3 hours in a row vs waking up every 1 hour the past few nights ..sheesh...

I dunno got plenty of fresh air and outdoor exercise (like a puppy or a little kid ) so I "should've" (quote-unquote) slept well but who knows ....

Anyway have a conference call coming up with my wife (a teacher) - she's actually starting to say the Big "R" word out loud and a benefits specialist gives them info and answers questions.

Good Morning Spies, my Friday morning round with my dad got cancelled this morning.  I can golf in temps in the 40's and I can golf in rain, but I don't think I want to golf in the 40's and raining.  Guess I'll get caught up on some paperwork.  Have a great weekend everybody!

Good morning MGS Troops! Looks like I'll be playing outside today. Teeing off at 1000hrs. I have never played Mountain Vista in Fort Collins. It's a 9 hole course so depending on weather, I may get in 9 or 18. I will be continuing my test of the Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X balls but it's only going to be 50 degrees so I'm suspecting that the Chrome Tour will be better than the Chrome Tour X. I did a write up about Sauce Golf towels in the general equipment forum. I am intrigued by them and the towels are cheap enough at $25. I bought a few so I can give them as gifts. You can read about them here if you'd like: 

I am also trying out the Newton 5 and 6 Dot shafts so I'll have 2 drivers in the bag. I still have 14 total clubs so I am still legit. Had to take out the hybrid, but I haven't had much success with it anyway. If I get bad results from the shafts I have my BRNR mini driver (A MUST HAVE CLUB) and if you haven't tried that club yet you are missing out. Hope all is well and G*D has blessed you this morning. I have a heavy heart today, Yesterday the University of Wyoming lost 3 female D1 swimmers to a car crash on HWY 287 between Fort Collins and Laramie. Absolutely heart breaking. We saw a couple of them swim their last meet in Denver a couple weeks ago. You just never know how things turn out so live your best life every day. Life is too short! My prayers go out to their families, loved ones, and friends. If you have an opportunity, please think of all the loved ones in your life and pray for those we've lost. Good morning and TGIFF, Spies!!

Had a nice strong rain last night. Could really hear it on the roof, plus the occasional flash of lightening. The thunder was a bit light, so I knew I was well away from the center of the storm. But a little rain isn't a bad thing. The sun is trying hard to get through the overcast skies. It's supposed to get through in a couple hours, which will be nice. I do need my sunshine, after being so spoiled in AZ.

Quiet weekend planned at this point. Gym, getting things settled in the garage a bit more, prep for the laundry room redo dad and I will be starting as soon as the cabinets arrive, then a grocery and gas run Sunday.

Golf swing lessons start back up in 2 weeks, so I really need to get some swings in the garage in the next couple weeks so I can at least remember how it goes. Plus I'd like to get all my new tech out and setup and working going forward.

Anyway, everyone have a wonderful Friday and weekend.

Morning all! Getting my coffee this morning and beginning to stretch before heading out to the course.
The weather this week has been unbelievable and I’ve managed to play 27 holes in back to back days which is WILD for February! I’m playing a match this morning against a friend before joining up with my buddies for our normal Friday afternoon round (mostly focused on drinking). Hit ‘em hard!

Good Friday morning MGS. 
  While I didn’t break 80, I did engage in a reasonable facsimile of a golf game. The weather was a wonderful 80+ degrees with very little wind. 
   NO golf today, today is blood test day. As an early weekend bonus..Getting to do a Barium Swallow test. Just part of the never ending ( well while you are still on this side of the grass ) challenge of trying to figure out what makes old people tick. 
   May your weekend bring joy, fun, memories, and golf…. Not necessarily in that order.

Ha!  I use a pc at work, a tablet at home, but 90% of my browsing and social interaction is thru my phone.

Also, the rain storm blew east of here just before the 1st tee time. We have some die hard regulars and a little rain won't stop them. Just real soppy fairway shots.

Is there anything finer than a calm morning with an absolute killer espresso??? Its among my favorite things in the world and I was turned onto this after only drinking D'maglia Italiana for years. This stuff is the deal and it's cheaper!! It won the grand prize in Miami and that is a serious Espresso (Bucci) city with all the Italians and Cubanos sort of has a nutty, chocolate type finish its really nice

I play all summer long in the afternoons. The costs are tiny compared to this time of year in Mesa and the courses are as you stated empty. Grab a cart, 2 gallons of water, a BIG hat and go. Great way to work on shots from x amount of yards from the green or work on a particularly nasty pin placement. I mean nobody is there so you can take as much time as you need.

No golf for me for the next couple of days. An old friend from our military days some 45+ years ago is down with his son from Ohio for a spring training game (the sun ushers for the Guardians) and some warm air. 

I hope golf is planned for  the weekend!
