The Good Morning Thread

Good morning! Work ended up getting in the way of me and my first live community call yesterday. I'll get to one soon though. Today, I'm thankful it's Friday and the weather for the weekend looks nice! Everyone in the family got new bikes over the past few months so everyone's excited for the warm weather to take advantage of them. We're planning on going to a bike trail nearby tomorrow after indoor soccer games end. Hopefully I can get the bike hooks up in the garage so they aren't taking my parking spot any longer!

Also, no plans for golf, but I'm hoping it happens organically!

Was able to join the community call for a bit yesterday.  Those ghost golf bags look really nice.  I'm not sure I'm worthy of something that nice

Yesterday called for three layers of clothing and the winter gloves to do battle with the elements... Good morning fellow Spies. No golf on the course this weekend unfortunately with work and leaving for vacation but going to Golf Galaxy today for their free ball fitting promo. Probably just hitting a few shots with the newly released balls but should still be a good time to see if the ball I’m playing is a good fit or if I should move to something else.

I made it to the doctor today and it was basically a visit with the PCP to get a referral to a dermatologist. They put in a request with in at a local hospital and did mark it as urgent. I didn't get much more information than that but at least it's a start. I'll be waiting on a phone call to find out when my next appointment is. Hopefully the urgent will get their attention. 

I want to thank each and every one of you who had encouraging words for me and my wife, we appreciate it more than you know. It's a bit of a scary time for us and the support from you all is wonderful.

I went to that fitting on Monday and really felt like I got some good information.
I'm interested to see how you find the fitting.

Being born, raised and having my career in Western New York, I can't say that I miss the white stuff on the ground now that I live in Key West!

Please do your best to have it all gone by mid-April.  We're flying into Syracuse to visit our families in Rochester and Cooperstown.

Good Morning Everyone! I think I may go to the range during lunch. I'm trying to get more consistency with my fairway woods and maybe work on my mid irons if I get the time for those approach shots.

Rough start to the day as our dog had a seizure this morning after our walk. This happens occasionally and he's on medication, but it's never an easy thing to witness. Hoping for a fairly uneventful day from here on out after that.

Saw that AK shot a 76 in his return with LIV. Honestly was expecting worse, but he's still DFL in the field. Luckily for him, there's no cut 

Hoping to catch qualifying for the F1 race in about an hour. Should be pretty exciting and hopefully we'll see some competition at the front.

Busy workday ahead to close out the week. Dinner reservation at my favorite pizza place tonight with some friends so that'll be something to look forward to.

Golf lesson tomorrow, which I've been looking forward to for a while.

Sorry to hear about your dog. Seizures are tough. With our Riley the period after the seizure were the toughest. Wishing you the best.

Ended up having to go into the office for a few hours today so I didn’t get out to an actual course, but I did go to a local indoor place with track man. The LTDx in the upright shaft setting is killer! The King Tec 3H I picked up also performed exceptionally! Have a great weekend all!

Long past “morning” but just back from first 9-holes of the new season!  Can’t post scores until April 1st so ½ set in my Sunday bag.  Brisk wind but sunshine and good companionship!

Garage sorta cleaned out. More work needed before it's ready for the sim, but you can see the floor now, thanks to removal of 860 pounds of stuff per the scales at the landfill. I hear my whirlpool tub calling my name...

Just having a cup of coffee on a foggy quiet morning.

I’ve been reviewing my scores from this month’s sim rounds, and I’m seeing a pattern of shorting my approach shots to the green. If I had a home simulator, I’d be there right now, trying to figure out what that’s about.

So the next step might be to build a garage … or convince my spouse that we need one.

Good morning all.  An exciting day yesterday here in Ottawa, Ontario:  Outdoor driving ranges have started to open!!!!  A sure sign that the season is just around the corner. Aiming to head out today to hit an easy 100 range balls and find out if all my sim time payed off

Good morning Spies!  Checking in from chilly / damp Birmingham - today is the last day of our 3-day match play competition (dubbed the "Covid Classic", given it started in 2020).  

Yesterday was a SLOG - pockets of heavy rain throughout day with temps hovering below 50 (including a bout of hail).  However, we got through it relatively unscathed and the teams are tied going into the final day of 36 on Ross Bridge and the Backyard (Oxmoor Valley's new short course).  Hope everyone is doing well!  Sharing some pics of the last two days, including the interesting #13 on the Valley course at Oxmoor - a recreation of a Biarritz.
