Good morning all,no coffee no breakfast. Pre testing at Oak Hill this morning for surgery. Played 5 days last week so a little time away to ponder my scullled 9 iron on 16th on Monday. 40yrs in Mi. Knew what last days of golf for the season felt like. Love this thread.

Good Morning everyone!  A brisk 38º the morning with showers in the forecast and a high of only 45º.  No golf today... WOW, am I sore today!!  Walked 18 holes yesterday (shot 77) and my body is screaming today, and I have Physical Therapy in an hour!  Hope the therapist takes pity on me.  

Today my plan is to reshaft a Macgregor 8i and a 5i from my Nippon 84g steel shafts to Recoil 65g graphite shafts.  Now that the GHIN season is over, I will play both clubs against my steel shaft Macgregors.  An interesting test for distance, ball flight, and effects on my body.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday and that you can get outside to chase that little ball.  Have fun!!

Good morning all from what is going to be an absolute gem of a day weather wise here in Wisconsin. Getting up to the driving range over lunch to work more with the mevo, mainly mid irons and fairway woods, and then establishing some baselines with the deWiz I just received last night. Should be a golf tech nerds dream session 

Playing 18 tomorrow with a 1pm tee time, and will be chasing the sun as the round gets close to it's finish. Also going to be SUPER windy tomorrow  so we will see how scoring goes. One last hurrah before the course closes for the year this weekend!

Good Morning! This morning went pretty well getting the family ready and out the door. I don't think I've said that about a morning since school started back in late august!  Now, I've got my 2nd cup of coffee and I'm grinding through some work that come up from yesterday's meetings.

There was a thick layer of frost this morning, but temps here in southern MI are supposed to hit 60 this afternoon, so I've got to get out and play at least 9 holes. I'll play one Titleist white box test ball against my usual Vice Pro gamer and we'll see how it goes.

busy couple of days….

• met with surgeon yesterday to discuss my long running issue and as surgeons do recommended cutting me open and that the test scheduled for next month will not indicate any issues.  
• eye appointment this morning.  Shockingly the occasional blurry vision in my right eye is because my vision got better and it is over correcting.
• picking my wife and her aunt up at the airport tonight,  she went to get her and bring her to VA from CA. Probably heading back in a couple of months to sell house etc.  it my participation in that is dependent on item 1 n this list.

at least I have a party to look forward too on Friday and golf on Sunday.

Finishing easing on home. Only one more work day left for the month ( next Monday )…. 
    Usually driving either to work or even back into the clutches of the fear causing female is one of the benefits of my phony baloney job. However because of a combination of things; time of year, time that I left, and weather; this drive was not as pleasant. Lots and I mean LOTS of state and local LEO  presence. Counted 37 law enforcement vehicles in less than 25 miles on a two lane highway. Also the non-human wildlife is on the move. Lots of deer, feral hogs, javelinas, and at daybreak turkeys. Getting caught in a javelina ambush will  more than ruin your day. So, a lot of dodge ball like driving earlier this morning. In fact the wildlife seemed even more militant than normal…

Not sure this is happening everywhere in the country, but for those like @Jnoble89who are out an about this hunting season, might use a tad bit more caution. 
   The wife person texted last night that she had “ news “ for me when I got home. In the driveway now steeling myself for the Royal edict. This invariably will not be for my benefit.

Good morning all!

Just saw an article that said the sun is going to be setting before 5pm in Chicago for the next 84 days... that's a pretty depressing way to start the day. 

Weather has been surprisingly nice in the 60s this week, but I fear the frozen tundra is waiting patiently on the horizon 

The Netflix Cup was more entertaining that I expected! I was glad to tune in and see Carlos Sainz take the win (even though he broke the trophy). Hopefully a good omen for Ferrari in the race this weekend (the winning part not the trophy breaking part).

Good morning all! I have my new putter coming in today (Odyssey Versa Double Wide) and just got my new utility iron from Sub 70 in yesterday. Call it an early Christmas! I’m going to do an in depth review of the Sub 70 699 v2 utility iron coming soon so I’ll keep you all posted!

Missed the morning call. Walked 18 holes this morning for 7:00 am.  Conditions were cloudy, windy & in the low 70's in Central FL.  It's been real windy conditions, rain held off. Felt good to get out & walk.

Anyone have this happen to them?  I used to know a really good player, that always wanted to play me.  If I could not ride with him, I would decline...

Never had any playing partners would cheat to that extent, sorry embellish. Would have some who always seemed to be blind to where a ball entered a red stake hazard or water & take drops 40 to 60 yds closer to the green.  

We had a lot of rain yesterday morning.  It rained pretty much the entire round, from 6:45am to 10am & finally subsided after we were done, around 10:30am. This morning the clouds never broke & cloudy all morning.

Apologies in advance and not to be a downer but sorry if I don't check in the next few mornings .. we've had to schedule old poochie to go to that big puppy happy playground in the sky to reunite with his adopted brother we had to send there just about two years ago ... so very traumatic around here, my wife is totally devastated.....

But it's time.

I'm only bringing this up 'cuz i know there are a bunch of pet and dog lovers here, and this thread has sort of become the virtual sharing personal moments meeting place.

So thank you in advance for any kind comments and forgive me if I don't acknowledge you nor reply for a little while.....

Wis you and your family all the best. These times are never easy. Losing a dog is one of the worse things. They bring such joy and love unconditionally.We had to put our female lab to sleep this summer. I She had throat cancer and the tumor was growing and really bothering her. Sadly it was one year after we lost her brother to cancer as well. We love dogs. Have taken a break for months, but I hope I can talk my wife into a new puppy this spring. Probably won’t be a lab this time.  Again sorry for your loss.

So sorry to hear that Chuck.  We are thinking about you and Lisa and wish you the best getting though this.  It's always a sad time... puppies are people too.

Really sorry for your loss, Chuck. Losing a member of the family always sucks. Even when we know it’s time, it doesn’t take any of the hurt away. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dam Chuck @cksurfdude, so sorry to hear that. I went through the same thing about 2 years ago. Then somehow my wife and daughter came home with a new friend a year later even though I said I was done. I now have a new (or should I say another) best friend. 
We can never replace our loved one but we can always find a place in our heart for a new friend.

I know your pain and I hope you know we are all thinking about you and your wife. It will get better. There will come a time when you think about your friend and smile instead of cry.

Again, sorry for your loss my friend.

My morning tomorrow will be spent logging in more windshield time so consider this as my good morning post.

Another drive going on. Going from Raleigh back to Charlotte for a lunch meeting. Then finally heading home. Probably looking at a total of 6 hours of windshield time tomorrow.

On a positive note there is golf in my future. Playing on Friday to continue white box testing. Then I got a text from my brother-in-law today, asking if I wanted to play on Saturday. Really, did you expect me to say no. 
Cant wait to get home.
