Played in Scottsdale for the first time at Dinosaur Mountain.  Listened to the starter for what tees to play, seeing that the scorecard doesn't give total yardages.  Should have played black or gold, 6 par 3's makes it a bit easier to stomach, but not much.  Still a fun round, great for the ego!  Lol

I had the best round ever!  Everything seemed to fall into place and the round went by so quickly.  The greens were a little wet which slowed the speed of my putts and helped a great deal.  I was on the par 5 11th in two strokes and ended up with a birdie!  I can’t wait to get back out and let ‘em rip!  I do need to redo my handicap as the last 5 or 6 rounds have been consistently better than normal.  Lovin this game more and don’t know how that’s possible!

Horrible day until #17. 90 yards into the wind to a back pin, took a forward leaning GW(48*) and it landed at front of green then rolled to within 4” of the cup. Made the 4” putt for a birdie!

Had a great round today, shot an even 80. Had my best round of approach play ever despite dealing with a blister on my left hand. Unfortunately for me the greens were punched so it was very difficult to get the line right on putts as they were bouncing towards the cup. 

overall very happy with my showing today!

This was Friday’s round. Played like crap last weekend in a tournament and then shot 79 Wednesday and 77 Friday. I was certain that playing well 5 times over 6 days would get my handicap back into single digits. 
 

Unfortunately, a good round today was not in the making  

I got woke up at 2 am (not unusual) didn’t go back to sleep. About the time I got sleepy, my alarm was going off because of an early tee time. I almost went back to bed, but decided I could nap this afternoon. I didn’t strike the ball well, didn’t putt well, and all I really did well was pitch the ball close to the hole and then miss the putts. 13 bogies, 3 doubles, and 2 pars. 

Hopefully, I can get back on track tomorrow.

'Splain this to me, Lucy!! No range or putting warm-up (due to some dumbass forgetting his GPS & having to go back home to get it). Hit 2 80-yard pitches to a green before teeing-off.

And yet, I have:

• First time front nine score lower than the back nine
• Best driving distance average of the season
• Best up-and-down percentage of the season
• Lowest number of putts of the season
• Chipped-in from 19 yards out for a skin

Looks like somebody may start showing up to the course later

Had 6 drives of 250y or more. The one that went 280y took a great line and tumbled down a hill a long ways. Unfortunately a poor short game led to 5 doubles and a triple. 47-47 for 94, in spite of 10/14 fw only 2/18 gir.

A couple clerical points, the date says 8/29. Technically we didn't start until September 1st. Even though this week started for Week 22 of the Virtual Tour, our Match Play Event has to be rounds played 9/1-9/10 for the 1st Round.

Front 9... 9 straight pars... with 5 up and downs including 2 sandy pars.  Approach was in the sand on #9, and rattled the pin... tapped in for the 2nd sandy.  Back 9 was a little more back down to earth... 4 bogies with one birdie.  My up and down game was used up on the front 9 evidently. 

BUT..
