Two Years As a Golf Spy

So two years ago yesterday, I saw a Tweet from Tony posting a blog piece he had written about something. Honestly can't tell you what the topic was.

 

But it got me to the home page to read it. I was impressed with the depth and quality of if. Noticed there was also a forum to the site. So I browsed it a bit and thought it seemed like such a great environment. No BS, just nice respectful comversation going on.

 

So I signed up and well....two years and ya'll aren't getting rid of me anytime soon.

 

I can honestly say the forum has changed so much in these two years.......for the better for sure. When I first joined it took me maybe 30 minutes to an hour to read every post in every thread for that day.

 

Heck I ended up doing a Studque's #TBT before it was even a thing. As I had to go back a year or so to find new content (to me) to read. Ha

 

So thanks to all of you for continuing to grow this great communiy and those who support if as Donors. It gives John,Tony and Adam some clout when they go talk to OEM's about testings and Most Wanted.

Nice homage to MGS. It's hard to imagine it's only been two years. The forum has exploded in that time, lots of great new people.

Kenny you are correct. It was great before. One off the reason I stuck around was the postings of the vets such as yourself, Foz, Rev, Stu, Rick, Plaid and others.

 

Hopefully we'll continue to grow if with lots of new contributing members.

Or something.I was going to save this for the What Did You Buy Thread........So, it's not irons but something I've had my eye on for a while, trying to decide between the Busnell Hybrid, Nikon Cool Shot Pro Stabelizer or this.

Same with me.  I stuck around because of the camaraderie of vets and the great discussions.  Some are still here; others have moved on I guess.  I've really enjoyed the many new folks that have joined and have stuck around.  We have a great group!!

Rob, Congratulations on two years, but more importantly, I am ever so glad that you have become a moderator and a darn good one.  I am sure that previously, we have mention that you, MDgolfhacker and I met and became friends years ago through the TGC forum and the outings.   When that forum ended, we found each other on another forum, and then another forum and finally this forum.  Rob, I guess that shows that I will follow you anywhere. :-).   Fortunately however, I think we have finally found a home; yep Buddy, it looks like we have finally found a home with a good family.   Remember, your friends are the family that you get to choose.

Thank YOU for being such a pal to any and everyone on this forum. Your experience as a golfer and a golf course director (I forget your actual title) has been beneficial for all of us as evidenced by your posts. Congrats on the Spyversary and can't wait to be a part of many more!
