If only I could make this autoplay for everyone.  

I am FIRMLY in the Xbox camp, the only illusion I made into the PS family fanfare was for Metal Gear Solid, which is now cross platform. 

I can't stand the PS controler.  Sony destroyed KONAMI (I can't say that's actually true).

I won't disagree with Halo being a great game, but Xbox missed 2 of my favorite games/series ever in horizon and uncharted.

Uncharted is probably one series that I should want to play.  Maybe I'll give a half point for that..

Both. Both are great systems and have great games. 
 

Xbox Game Pass is incredible and PlayStation just launched their new gaming subscription service as well
 

if you can only get one, it comes down to 2 things:

1) Exclusive games

2) Do you play online and if so, where do your friends play?

im jlukes on Xbox. Been playing Forza Horizon 5, outriders, TMNT, art of rally, NHL 22 

im jlukes7 on ps and have been playing returnal, ghost of Tsushima, wreckfest, division 2, fall guys , horizon forbidden west, Spider-Man miles morales, hell let loose, pga tour 2k21

Most of the games I listed above are on both consoles, so it just comes down to what you want to play on and who you want to play with.

I've always been a playstation fan yet somehow I got my son an xBox.  Not sure how that happened, LOL.  All his friends are on playstations

I'm a PlayStation guy and for me it all comes down to the exclusives. Ghost of  Tsushima is probably my favorite game to come out in the last twenty years, or since FFVII. Speaking of which, FFVII Remake was awesome. There's also Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West (which I need to play). 

I will say that traditionally what I hear about the Xbox and their subscription service is awesome.

Nintendo wants to take your money for a Switch! Lol. I actually got my Series X without too much trouble, and actually didn’t have to pay over retail.  Microsoft will also sell you them with the game pass subscription so it ends up that you pay for the console over 2 years which isn’t a terrible deal either if you’re going to use game pass.

I am firmly in the XBOX clan on this one. Sold my PS1 when the original XBox debuted and have not looked back since. Bought the original when it came out, played it so much that I cooked it. Replaced it with the Halo edition and ran that pretty hard until it also decided to implode. That was about the time that the XBox One came out so I jumped on that and am still playing that today. Currently have three XBox Ones in the house so that everyone can play when they want to.

I don’t play much online anymore although I used to play The Division as if it were the only thing to do in life. I more of a campaign/story player for shooters now or playing sports like NHL or FIFA.

Haha when my wife was pregnant with our first, all I played was the first Division game.  When my wife saw the time played counter on the log in screen she asked me what that was for. Embarrassed by my “30 Days 19 Hours 34 minutes” played, I had to be quick on my feet an said “that’s how much time has elapsed in the game world”

That’s a good spin on it. I should go check to see my time played. Not sure if I really want to know that time though.

I want to go back and replay those but I still don't think I'm emotionally ready yet.

I'm firmly in the PlayStation camp. Although I'm not too thrilled that I'll need to get a PS5 for the Fallen Order sequel since they're not making it for the PS4.

I loved Fallen Order... until it was over.  I was shocked at how short the main story was.  That's probably my own bias though... Lots of GTA and Metal Gear games which take a long time to play through. haha

There, now that's out of the way, I'm a Playstation guy. Have been for a while after moving through Nintendo stuff in the youth. I know there's been a lot of critique of the new PS Plus service, but as someone who sat out the last generation entirely, I am enjoying not having to pay much for much in the way of new games any time soon, next new buy will probably be the system launch of F1 Manager in August. Right now I'm just rolling through drop in type games to play, Fall Guys, Tetris Effect (which looks awesome on an OLED), going through the old Crash Bandicoot games with the missus and Untitled Goose Game in Co-Op, playing cinematic games like Until Dawn and The Quarry as well as the Life Is Strange titles together as well, and downloading Stray to play next week.

Started at 2yo with NES, then N64 and GBA, moved on to OG Xbox, then XB360, ordered both XB1 and PS4 but then went on about a decade hiatus (just like with golf lol) and the systems went to storage and even gave my little bro my PS4 (#regrets).

Got married, had kids, kids want Switch, got switch, and now I am getting back into this as well haha.

#goals below... (But also want the modern systems lol)

 

So far I have, NES, N64, GBA, Gamecube, Wii, Switch, OG Xbox, XB360, XB1, and PS2

So ultimately, I started Nintendo, then Xbox became my main boo with PS and Nintendo becoming my side pieces lol

I am also #PCMasterRace curious lmao

At my age and not being an avid gamer, neither Xbox or Playstation have much appeal to me.  I did, however, have the opportunity to experience an Oculus II VR headset at a friend's house last week.  It was the most incredible gaming experience that I've ever experienced.

While no longer much into the gaming world, I owned all sorts of consoles growing up. Started with a Super Nintendo, moved to a GameCube, then left the Nintendo universe for an Xbox 360. RROD’d two of those and decided I had had enough and went to a PS3. Shortly after college I sold that because I wasn’t really playing much anymore and where I lived in 2012 we couldn’t get wifi (yes, you read that right lol). Once we moved to an area where we did get wifi, I got the Xbox One and played quite a bit. When we moved back to our current town I decided to sell it around Christmas as there was a family who didn’t have much money looking for one and I was back to not playing often. 

Our in-laws have a Wii at their cabin and our boys are starting to like that, so I imagine someday in the future we will get them a console of some sort and maybe I’ll do some gaming again. Right now I can honestly say I don’t have any spare time for it as the free time I do have I use for golf

PS still has the majority, but it’s not more like 60/40…. and the 60% are wrong
