Yeah. Most likely.  I’ll check with the planner and see what the possibility  of adding some golf only tee times.

But you should ask @EasyPutterand @tommc23 How much staying in the cottage added to the whole experience.  Both of them originally were just going to golf and not stay on site.

I would be interested in golf only as well. I'm about 35 minutes away.

Jeff with a post don’t see many of these

Jeff doesn’t get too engaged unless there is a full moon.

I will concur with what others are saying; staying at the cottage was a big part of the experience.  The golf was fun, but the conversation back at the cottage and putting a face to the names we see on the forum made it an unforgettable experience.

if golf only is an option, I wouldn’t pass that up either,  we were very welcoming and invited them to come hang out and join us for breakfast/dinner at the cottage.

Just played Pine Needles yesterday for the first time, what a wonderful course. Obviously it's in winter form, but there's still some grass growing so it's remarkably nice for this time of year. The turtleback greens will add plenty of strokes to your scores. The clubhouse is old school traditional, but charming. Youse guys should have a great time.

I am down for that one too...

I'm beginning to think there isn't an outing you wouldn't make...Love it!!

unfortunately I can't come to cheer for everyone, right now I have a broken leg, I can only play golf with a game mod on my phone to relieve cravings, hope to interact with you all soon in the nearest future

There will be more in the future if all goes well and the demand is there.  Which based on the 12 guys who showed up in Maryland this summer, there is.

Can’t wait  for the West Coast…trip
Bandon Dunes would be fun…

I would love Bandon, I know it's practially booked for all of 2023, I will look into 2024 pricing,.  Do you have any experience with any of these....Pumpking Ridge, Chambers Bay or courses in Bend area, I forget the names.   I know tht PNW is a beautiful area that I wouldn't mind visiting.

Is staying in the villas a requirement?  I live an hour away and would drive.

I will look into golf only times, and find out if and when they can be added.

I won't be able to commit until very close to that January 15 deadline. Right now I think I'm probable (75%?) if there's still slots available.

No worries, if these 12 spots fill up before then, I wil get more added.   Depending on the demand, it would have to be at least 4 and up to as many as they still have room for.   So I think you'll be good eiherway.  Would love to have you along.

Registered! 😎

Huge thanks to @Golfspy_CG2 for setting this up.  Rob’s been doing all the behind the scenes work to make this possible.

Thanks Brian, most of the work has involved waiting for places to resond.  You'd be surprsed how many didn't or did so half heartly.   Being in the industry myself, I knwo we are experiencing reord high demand for golf and courses can pick and choose the groups/outings they want, but I never take that for granted and get back to even the smallest inquires right away.   But having been to the Pinehurst...both the resort and non resort courses many many times, I know this will be a great trip for everyone that is able to make it.

So thrilled to see you registered.   Glad the dates worked out for you!

I’d be down to hang out in the villas as late as feasible to get to know everyone.  The price portion would be the biggest hindrance for me. If I could save by not having to stay in a villa that would be most helpful.

Can we go over and play The Cradle after checking-in on Friday? I also know some excellent places to eat and drink in the Village of Pinehurst (I have played #2 twice, plus #4 and Mid Pines about 20 years ago).

Come to think of it, I have played almost every course in the Pinehurst area and Sanford, from a couple of rounds at Tobacco Road to most of the courses in and around the Pinehurst Resort. I have two very good friends who live there, one of whom lives a couple doors down from Donald Ross’ old home right on the course at Pinehurst #2

I'm really hoping I can make this trip happen. Only an hour and change from my house! If so, I'll offer to take any early arrivers to the Sanford Municipal course (also a Ross; on the way from RDU airport to Pinehurst) - if we get enough for this, it's a perfect course for a half-set best-ball game.

Absolutley, hoping to get as many local golf only players as the courses will allow.  It's all about meeting and hanging out with great members of the fourm.

I'm like a good Timex watch. Takes a licking but keeps on ticking!

Besides that, take a look at my wooden floaties.......... In matching color tones of course.

As someone who won't be going on this excursion, but went to the unofficial (in name only) first excursion, I will recommend it if you can make it work with your finances and time. Even if you're a quieter person in real life, like me, or someone who doesn't do great in large social environments, also like me, I can tell you that this trip was one of the most fun things I've ever done.

Everyone is nice (when the needles aren't out), everyone is willing to talk shop or anything that may be of interest to everyone, and everyone wants to make the people who feel like they're on the outside welcomed and brought into the fold as friends and people. Not only are you going to get to play some awesome golf courses with awesome people, hopefully you'll leave this trip salivating to get back to the next one.

That's my honest pitch for you all. If I could do it this year too I'd be there will bells on. Sadly financials and other goals and trips for me and missus will take priority in 2023, but she wanted me to go and will definitely want to push me for 2024, so I hope to get to see you guys soon again... namely @MDGolfHacker, let that dollar rest easy in that frame my friend.

Greg,

That is very kind (and generous) of you!  I would love to play Sanford’s Muni, and I bet that I would enjoy it much more than I have enjoyed (or, more appropriately said NOT enjoyed) my two rounds at Tobacco Road!!!

I know some people who think they are the greatestg things since Banana Pudding Ice Cream...my sister being one of  them.  But having had two different machines and four different sizes of masks, I can say I fully fit into the group (who Dr's have said are legitiamte) unable to adapt to them.

This commerical had to be secretly filmed while I had the CPAP, I'm convinced...ha
