Great article Mark! Hydration on the golf course is very important. I started using LMNT, cause of cramping after the round, in this Florida heat.  Water wasn't enough.  Ever since using LMNT, I've not had muscle cramps! Will try the others you listed in the article!

Good afternoon, Spies! My golf experience today was not as humbling as Charlie Woods', but it was humbling nonetheless. Drove to Raleigh and instead of going straight to the hotel, went to the NCSU course to hit some balls and work on what my instructor gave me Monday night. Got to the range and discovered I was surrounded by college golfers who were pounding hell out of the ball (there was a draw sheet in the pro shop with tee times for a college tournament tomorrow, but the NCSU website says nothing about a tournament, so I'm a bit confused). Anyway, there was a scrawny kid next to me on the range who was pounding out towering baby fade 7-irons that were going 185. Over and over and over. And I'm barely hitting driver 185. In the middle of my bucket, they set out a sign "Area Reserved for Special Event," which I took to mean get out of the way so the college kids can practice. So I finished my bucket and left.

Wolfpack invitational; starts on the 24th.   Surprised it isn't on the NCSU schedule but it is on the Campbell University schedule.

Yeah I found it on the Auburn schedule; I did notice Auburn was one of the schools on the draw sheet. It's apparently an individual tournament, no team title given. Maybe that's why they left it off the team schedule. The guy who was pounding out those 7-irons had a Duke towel on his bag and a Duke logo on his shoes but I don't see him on the Duke roster; maybe he's a walk-on or something.

Dookies just finished a tournament in California yesterday; that would be awful quick to get back and be out there on the range at 3 pm. And all the names who played in Cali I recognize from the roster. The guy on the range today is African-American, which does not describe anyone on the official website roster, so I'm pretty sure I'm not misidentifying somebody on the team. He had his cellphone set up shooting video and would stop after 2-3 balls to go review his swing, then go back to launching high fades 185.

Good morning Spies on a crisp, clear TGIF morning here in the Motor City.

At work with a lot to do today but should be interruption free as the others in our group don't make it into the facility on Fridays.

Weather here is supposed to be colder tomorrow as a front passes through, but then temperatures more normal on Sunday and warming up again next week.

Hoping to get some range time in on Sunday again, and looking forward to that part of the weekend.

Hope that your day is the best it possibly can be, and that something fun and enjoyable is in your plans.

Good morning all!

Had a great time skiing with the kids yesterday until my oldest did a hill with a bit of jump added and he fell and got the wind knocked out of him. Was starting to feel better by the time we got home, thankfully no head injury. We had a neighbors daughter get a concussions skiing this year that was no joke, always something I will be worried about.

Today should be a nice Friday without too much going on work or otherwise. Not sure what we have on tap for the weekend but I am sure we will find something. Maybe some more skiing or ice skating. Only time will tell.

Glad it wasn't more serious and that recovery was short!

 

In a former life, a loooong time ago, I was a ski coach for 10-12 year Olds. (Attitash/Bear Peak) I would always tell the parents to make sure they had their helmets, or they wouldn't be allowed out of the bunny slope. Well, you know kids and how cool they wanted to look. When 2 didn't want to wear their helmets, I slapped edgie wedgies on the tips and made them do pizza drills in front of everyone, on the lift entrance slope.

Good morning spies, TGIF. Starting out a bit chilly at 29° this morning with 48° projected as the high today.

Currently scrolling through F1 lap times for testing to see hope things are going Bahrain. Race season starts next weekend which means that spring is right around the corner. That means golf season for me. See how everything just goes back to golf?

I don’t have to work tomorrow so two day weekend is on tap. Sun should be out for the next few days so I should get started on that yard work……which I’ve mentioned before……but still haven’t started. Maybe this weekend.

Good morning MGSpies from dark damp WNY on this payroll Friday and with the new platform the system is on that has been troublesome all week this should be quite the adventure once the work computer sorts itself on the network  but my mind is actually on the first of 6 sessions for the WNY PGA HOPE program first session of 10+ this year for the Section in Rush NY this evening and hope golf is a part of your day too

I agree and thankfully with cross country skiing it is a bit different so he was truly on a very small hill, but yes helmets are still a must the trails near our house are very hilly so there is plenty of bigger hills to fall on.

Well Good Morning Spies. 

Yesterday we attempted to regain our crown in the St Jude Crushes Cancer Scramble and while we failed to do so we won with providing over $5,098 To St Judes as a team and iam much happier about that than any "win" in a charity tourney. Iam hitting my new I210 irons so well its actually fun to play par 3s again and the new G430 MAX 10k is a treat as well although I only hit driver on 4 holes at KWGC . Headed to the SIM as we speak to test some new S159 wedges and see if maybe after seven years of Vokeys something new may grab me. I buy new wedges every two years and i am not needing new right now but they look so nice!! Have a great day and maybe we will get lucky and the phones will go out again!!!
