On the flip side in a funny coincidence my brother in law said his wife now live just outside Knoxville after retiring a few years ago; they're very happy there.

Morning spies, happy Saturday. Starting the day off 30° cooler than yesterday, currently sitting at 30° with highs around 41° today. Just like @Ben Joest, I am heading out for a soccer tournament here shortly. Will need plenty of layers to stay warm. 

Speaking of plenty of layers, good luck with your hunt today @Jnoble89, stay warm and hopefully you don’t have to sit all day.

@sirchunksalot, I pray for the best for your sister. Glad that they were able to catch it early and get treatment started.

Good morning everyone. Old man winter is waking up in these parts as we start off our day at 29°. Hoping he hits the snooze bar so can get some more fall weather for November and maybe sneak in another round or two. @Jnoble89, hope the are restless this morning and the bucks are frisky. Always enjoyed a quick end to the hunt day. @sirchunksalot, enjoy your visit with family and prayers that the chemo treatments go smoothly and it does it’s job the first time around. Good morning Spies,

One cuppa in progress. It’s a rainy morning in Central NY. SWMBO bought a new mountain bike yesterday and is itching for a ride. Hoping for a break in the rain later today. My new Vokey SM9 arrived yesterday afternoon. My wedges are set for a bit now. Was very pleased with the 54/12 that I bought earlier so I ordered a 58/12 to go with it. Both are in Brushed Steel.

The signs of the golf season coming to an end are starting to appear. One of the local courses I play occasionally emailed that this is the last weekend they will be open. My home course is prepping for the end of the season as well. They’ve put away the tee markers, ball washers and the rakes. On a positive note they hired a new course superintendent. He is young fellow who previously worked at Shinnecock Hills. I’ve met him and he is eager to put this Robert Trent Jones, Sr. designed course back into shape. Looking forward to next season. They have removed a number of dead trees around the tee boxes and greens already.

Well in response to living in  Florida, I lived my entire life in Ohio , never had any use for Florida, wife and I made a visit to The Villages , fell in love with the concept , bought a modest home and now after 5 years honestly couldn’t imagine ever returning north full time ,met great new friends , play golf daily all winter , she fishes after golf , drive a golf cart almost exclusively- live in the middle of the state so very little tropical storm effects , try it ,you’d love it if you’re an active person ! My permanent home now ( still spend summers in Ohio with grandkids etc.) but 9 months a year is fantastic

Good morning Spies on a mostly cloudy, blustery Saturday here. Our warm temperature for today was recorded at midnight and the needle has been moving in the downward direction since. Currently high 40's and hoping to see low 50's this afternoon when the cloud cover breaks up a bit. Have my Titleist iron fitting in a couple hours, and both looking forward to it, as well as some anxiousness about actually doing it today. Jason's, @sirchunksalot and @Jnoble89 best of luck in both your activities today, and @sirchunksalot will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers.

Derek, @EasyPutter have fun today, and hope the weather cooperates so you can make the most of your round today.

Looks like it will be a beautiful weekend here.  No golf today; today the company I work for is holding a family day for employees and their families to come see what we do in a more close up setting.   Advertised as exhibits and demonstrations, free food and family fun.   I was also able to sign up in to to take a windshield tour so we will get a closer look at more of the property.   Looking forward to going;  I don't generally get to see what we do close up since I am in IT and have always been in outlying buildings.

Good Morning everyone!  Been away for awhile.  It looks like a nice sunny day outside, but it's 24º!!!!  We have an 8:33 tee time but the frost delay will push it to around 11am.  I hate cold weather golf!  It's funny because only 5-6 years ago, it didn't bother me.  I think I've become a snowbird with no place to go... should be there by now!!  Weather looks the same for the next 4 days then warms up a little but with 4 days of rain.  I may be spending this winter in my hitting bay that I added to the house last year!!  GHIN is still accepting scores for another 3 weeks.

Play well today if your weather permits.

Happy Saturday Spies!

Got to work on a car early this morning and got carried away until just now. Wanted to wish everyone a happy Saturday and remind everyone that today is National First Responders Day. So, if you see a fireman, policeman or EMT, just thank them for serving. I spent 20 years behind the badge and it always meant a lot when people waved to me with all of their fingers.

First off I want to thank everyone for the well wishes for my sister. That's one of the things I love the most about this group, we're not just a forum we're a community. 

I went up to see her and we had a good time sitting around then going out to dinner. She's in good spirits and is feeling normal after receiving her first chemo treatment this past week. 

She lives on a golf course and I took the opportunity to get out and snap a photo of one of the holes. 

I'm not saying that someone might have gotten out and returned a couple of balls to the course with a GW, there's no photographic evidence of a ball that got topped into the water and another that ended up short of the green.

Good to hear it was a good trip, you had good weather and had time with your sister and she is in good spirits.  The last part is the most important that can only be experienced by being there and you were exactly where you were needed doing exactly the right thing for family my friend 

And about that alleged business with balls leaving no evidence, they weren't by any chance relations of @Yellow Ball were they?  I was playing yellow balls all day and apart from one of them sneaking off, probably using leaves for camouflage, the other two were good lads and made it back to their luxury velvet lined cinch bag to play another day.  I know it is probably unseemly I would let them do such a thing but they were in the company of a couple of tees when last I saw them.

I would be afraid to assume that one of the alleged balls might have possibly been a distant relative to @Yellow Ball, a more high class relative at that. It could have possibly been a yellow Bridgestone e12 in yellow, but nothing was seen so I can't be certain.

Well congrats there young person. You can do this. My major regret(s) on my marriage have been twofold. First, the Alpha female in waiting wrote our vows. Instead of saying; “ I do “ as my given response to the interrogation type questions ask of me during the ceremony, my response as ordered by my new CEO/CFO of the family was; “ I never will again “. Secondly, I wish I had gotten married on Halloween. Because it is quite obvious that I got  tricked and the marriage hasn’t been a treat.

May your marriage be nothing but fairways and greens for both you and the bride.

Good morning everyone. Looks like no golf this week for us in western PA. Calling for, I don't even want to say the word, snow flurries on Wednesday. The extended forecast doesn't look any better. All you people that still have nice weather play well.
