from 10,000 feet I dont think there will be many questions to ask, from what I see this site is very thorough with their testing, as far as what would be best for me, probably the Cobra with less spin as I hit the centre of the club pretty consistently and my driver is defiantly a distance club, less spin is better for me.

Interesting results. I am not "that" surprised.  I have hit all of these in testing personally and my ranking would shake out slightly different.

I have been having trouble finding a driver that gives better results than the PXG 0811X Proto 9 degree with Project X Hzrdus Smoke Yellow Shaft Stiff Flex. I absolutely love this club. So, why search for another because that’s what we do! I have ordered a Ping G425 LST since it was on sale. I have hit almost every driver in the past year and none have appealed to my eye and game like the 0811X. The search continues…..

Play like a champion today!

I think we have always said that most wanted isn't a this is the best for all. It is a starting point and for many who simply go OTR it is a great resource.

It doesn't make me more enticed to play or try stealth 2, but is interesting. Same with Cobra.

I'm looking forward to talking to Philip and seeing what were some surprises to him, what had some underdog results and what he thinks of some of the new tech introduced and how it improved over previous years.

Not too surpising here... the LS models always seem to do well in the general results, and a "draw" biased one always seems to perform well too!

I'm already looking forward to the swing speed breakdowns.... maybe I should just go ahead and get a TSR3 already... 🤪

You are a high swing sped player and when they release those numbers you may see the Titleist drivers ranked higher.

Does anyone know if the Ventus TR Blue was used as a stock shaft in the testing for Paradyms?  I know there is some confusion around that this year since Callaway lists it as a stock option, but when you select in on any site it adds $250 to the total bill.  That doesn't really mean stock to me if there is an upcharge for the shaft.

Looking at the top two lines of the data chart, the AeroJet LS is both longer and has nearly a 10% better dispersion than the Stealth 2. Yet the Stealth has a better strokes gained number (0.6 to 0.45). I guess I have to do some more reading on how strokes gained is calculated, because I don't understand this. Note: it doesn't matter for my fitting, as I'm a mid-speed, very low spin driver, so I generally look to the highest spin models. Just curious.

What isn’t shown  is where the balls ended up.  Farther does typically result in better strokes gained, but farther and in the rough may drop strokes gained below shorter and in the fairway especially if it is only a couple of yards.   Additionally the article indicates the metrics are weighted and we don’t know the weighting.

That and it seemed to crush the looks/sound/feel categories (even if they don’t factor into scoring).

it did feel great when I tried it, that’s for sure.

Any reasoning for why the G425 was used instead of G430? Was it a Ping choice or something else?

The 430 models were tested and are in the results.   Everyone asks for a comparison to the prior years clubs and the 425 Max was last years winner

Two things surprised me in this list.

1 - How low the new Ping G430's scored across the board. Although, the G430 Max landed at 8th overall, which isn't too shabby. From what I've read and seen, the improvements from the G425 are all great, so I was expecting this to be in the top 3.

2 - How high the Cobra Aerojet LS landed. Don't get me wrong, this is a purely a baseless opinion of my own, but something about it just feels like a swing and a miss this year (pun intended). I'm not a fan of how it looks, and some of the reviews I've read weren't overly positive about it.
Also, I find it funny that Bryson was talking up the Cobra 2023 driver, even before last years LTD came out. He said on the Rick Shiels podcast he was annoyed he couldn't play the 2023 model already. Then cut to 2023; he's out of contract and he's currently swinging a Stealth 2 😂

Driver: :cobra-small: Speedzone 9.5 degree (love this club)
Fairway Wood - :callaway-small: Warbird (to be replaced ASAP)

Top rated doesn't always mean it's best for a given golfer.

Last year I was going to order a Stealth HD and went with the Stealth Plus at the last minute based on reviews I read here and elsewhere. The driver was fine, but really not that much different than my Epic Speed. After 2 months, I swapped with another golfer for the Stealth HD, and what a difference for me - more distance and increased accuracy. Far better than either the Stealth Plus or the Epic Speed.

Fast forward to this year - the Stealth Plus is a winner again, but I'm heading to the course in about an hour to hit my brand new Stealth 2 HD! Not sure If I'll keep the shaft in it I ordered (Speeder NX Red), or one of my old shafts (Air Speeder, Motore X F3). The NX Red looks great in the club, but it is a stock shaft, and I was fitted for the other two.

WITB: Callaway Epic Max LS, SimTI Rocket 3W, Cobra Speedzone 4W, 3H-5H, Cobra Forged Tec One Length irons, PXG Wedges, Odyssey Stroke Lab Armlock putter.

Then cut to 2023; he's out of contract and he's currently swinging a Stealth 2 😂

the 430 series surprised me as well.   When hitting them and the 425, the 425 did seem to be a better driver.

The cobra drivers were very surprising to me as well.  I don’t typically like Cobra clubs, but I really liked the Aerojet and it would be one of the drivers that I would seriously look at again to put in the bag.

Top rated doesn't always mean it's best for a given golfer.

MGS repeats this with every test they publish.  The test indicates that if you walk in off the street and are going to grab a driver off the rack the odds are that this driver will have the best chance of working.   The player also needs to evaluate if they favor distance, accuracy, forgiveness, or a combination of those elements.

Looking forward to the swing speed breakdown. I’ve tested a lot of drivers, over the past 3-4 years. I’m still with my unicorn. Nothing longer than it & nothing as accurate, for ME. Maybe one of these models can change that this year.

That's a ringing endorsement fo rgetting fit.  Maybe a the fitting you menton those are the heads you're interested in hitting, but then let the results speak for themselves.

These results do nothing for me. I'm 75 and average 220 driver distance. I'm waiting for the breakdown by swing speed.

It should come in a few weeks, but in the meantime do some redaing on the Titleist TSR1 if you havent' already.  It's probably the best driver in the category for slow/moderate swing speeds, but it can also be very good for those in the 90's as well, as attested to by Nelly Korda and a couple friends of mine.

I am really looking forward to hearing what Phillip has to say and if it was a surprise that this was the end result of if he could see it coming along with several other questions. Now that he has a few years under his belt with this or more I think there are likely a few things that stick out to him or are worth noting.
