This week I ordered 3 dozen of shiny yellow Maxfli Tour S balls with the discount and bought a Scotty Cameron Studio Design 3  .that needs refinished due to finish wearing off but very little dents or dings and I will refinish myself.  Club has the original shaft band and grip.

I decided to join my local course today.  I have had the range membership but ran the numbers on the amount I have been playing and decided it was worth joining.  The good thing is now in the morning I can go knock out 9 holes in an hour and get back home to work.

It will end up costing me less than $20 a round as many times I have been playing.

Mine came in the mail today also. Only bought 2 doz (still have 2 more at home), but I had $10 in Dicks rewards. So, these things are like $1.67/ball!

... Same here as mine also arrived today. Using $90 in Dicks Rewards my 5 dozen Maxfli Tours ended up costing me .63 cents a ball.

Daylight hours are getting more restrictive now, plus family life demands are getting increased, so course time is constrained. 
I have set up the net in the garden, got the R10 sorted, but I am doing damage to the grass through my loose mat and spurk mat.

So I have been looking into driving range mats - put the word golf in front and everything just multiplies up.

To see if I can do it on a budget I have sourced a base .. only golf related cost with multiplyer 

I have bought an off cut piece of Astro grass ( St Andrews allegedly), then a 10mx 0.5m roll of impact / shock padding and some double sided adhesive tape…

I will hopefully get 2 layers of impact padding down and then lay the 1.5 x 1.5 m of grass on top. 
 

All sorted for 2/3 s of the cost of the cheapest combination I could find and I think that didn’t have the tax added. 
 

Then it’s lunch hour sim rounds or range sessions!!

Curious about the durability of the Astro turf so plz post an update after you've used it for a while.

Had one of these a while back.. Loved the feel!  Real beauty!  Please share your pictures when it's refinished.

Will do , being a bit of a skin flint I was going to rotate the mat around and I have purchased Birtees as well so no holes to aid longevity. 
If I am honest I haven’t ever rubbed a mat bald ( don’t quote out of context)

I also ordered a Joel Dahmen end cancer Hampton hat. Been looking for awhile. Imperial brands has it. As my wife is battling cancer, I thought it appropriate to sport the hat when golfing.

@Ding-dong being a DIY ho, I tried this with pretty good success. An option to tape is this stuff. It is INCREDIBLE! A little messy but when you can't afford to mess around, it is a sure bet.

Recently found the Cobra Radspeed XB Driver at Dunhams sports for $179 and its 4 hybrid at Maple Hill golf for $79. Been crushing the driver and the hybrid is really nice out of the rough and longer shots in to the pin.

My magnet patches showed up today for my Scotty headcover. Fit is perfect and does exactly what I was hoping it would. Also prevents the need to modify the original state of the cover. Thanks @Tom the Golf Nut & @cnosil for the recommendation!

I finally decided to purchase some new golf shoes.  Having a 4e wide foot makes finding comfortable shoes a challenge.  My Pumas have been decent but are starting to hurt my feet and I run in nothing but NB so going to give these a go.

Was in Nordstrom Rack just now, killing time, and stopped by the hat section. Randomly tried on a maroon/gray hat and loved how it fit, and then noticed the logo looked familiar. Turns out it was a Melin hat, literally the one I've been trying to convince myself was worth $60, except this one was $40. Paid $5 (for the hat and a Diet Coke ) after getting a $40 credit for opening up a Nordstrom card. So... Now I've got this bad boy . 

Goodbye sweat stains.

Do they really not get sweat stains? I never saw that marketing bit in the targeted ads that I get on socials
