Those are some good ones. This happened today. The Group behind us kept hitting into us. Like really close! We couldn't let them play through as there were at least 3 groups in front of us. Waiting for the green to clear, One of the balls ricocheted off my buddies cart,  bounces off and lands in a real mucky edge of the water we were parked next to. We get up on the green, putt, and as we were walking off, we watch the guy reach down for his ball, and falls into the muck.

After an early high in the mid 50⁰s this evening we had the white stuff back again. 50⁰s again this weekend and 60⁰s next week, crazy for the last 3 weeks of winter in Buffalo.  The corgis like it

Earlier this week while in Southern California, I visited Goat Hill Park in Oceanside. The vibe was very casual. They have an amazing practice facility. The day I was visiting TaylorMade Canada was holding an event. I visited the golf shop to purchase a hat, t-shirt and ball marker. I mentioned that I was visiting from Syracuse and heard about the course on The Fire Pit Collective podcast. The woman behind the counter gave me a Fire Pit visor. I had the choice of black or white.

I grew up in a house with my Dad, Mom and 5 sisters - 1 bathroom.  My Dad was a Saint for what he put up with in our bathroom!

So, yesterday my wife says.  Do you want to take me to play golf?  Immediately I thought, ok… sure what do you want to buy or do in return… nothing it turns out, she wants to ride along with me and read a book.  This is huge!  She has never asked to come with me before, because she hates golf.  Can’t wait to Shank-Dog my first tee shot in front of her.  At least she won’t know how bad it really is.

When you-know-who first asked me about golf; I explained that the only store/shop was the pro shop and restaurant and bar. I continued to explain that we will ride around in a semi-open electric vehicle without air conditioning for about 4 hours. There would be no other stores or businesses to venture into. She looked at me as if I was some uncouth barbarian that lived under a rock. I fell deeply, so deeply in love with golf on that day…

So on the subject of golf and women....

Did you know the first female pro golfer was hired by Wilson Sports .. in 1934..??

From an LPGA newsletter...

"In 1934, [Helen Hicks] who grew up in Cedarhurst, N.Y. signed a contract with Wilson Sporting Goods to travel the country promoting the Wilson brand. She had a pilot’s license for a single-engine private plane, so barnstorming and giving exhibitions was easier for Helen than for some others. But it was a radical move by the leaders at Wilson and a giant leap of faith by an athlete."

But you forgot to mention the lack of "restrooms" on the course. On a more positive note my wife likes to play golf and we golf every weekend.
