Not awkward at all, Jmike- if someone calls, and you answer, no longer your problem.

Is it awkward to sign the papers of someone to prosecute for disorderly conduct after you knock them out? Just had to do it for two fine gentlemen that thought I was bluffing.

Not much of a story. We had two patrons come in already intox that we refused to serve. They got a little to hands on with a bartender and got escorted off the floor to the interview room. I came down to sign the paperwork and idiot number one took a shot and got dropped. Idiot number two tried after that and ended up on the floor with his buddy. Classic way of turning a six month exclusion into an arrest. I know how to be nice until it is time to not be nice.

They were both just little punks. I am a big boy and not sure I would mess with guys bigger than me too often. I leave most of this to my security team.

Was told that golf rates in area will be raising again this year. They state reason is rise in gas prices and maintenance equipment upkeep. Not a deal breaker yet.But one day I might just turn into a casual part time because of greens fees cost

Your right, there is a point where it's not worth it. I hope golf doesn't eventually price itself out of existence.

It'll be interesting to see what this year brings for greens fees around here. Most courses haven't posted their in-season greens fees yet.

Seeing as though this is the random thread, my son's 2 month old Samsung Galaxy tablet decided life was too hard and the screen won't turn on. The tablet itself turns on because you can change the volume and hear the noise but the screen is black. I tried a lot of different things to fix it but had to cry uncle, rang Samsung and they are going to fix it under warranty but we have to wait until we get home to send it out to them.

In case you thought your day was f'ed up...

My right leg has been bothering me off and on for about a week since the prostate surgery. Soreness in the inner thigh. I spoke with a nurse in my doctor's office on Friday, and she said that most likely, the robot bumped a nerve while they were performing the surgery. Fairly common. She said that as long as there wasn't any swelling (and there wasn't on Friday) to give it the weekend. If it was still bothering me, come in and see them.

Well, it swelled up like a balloon over the weekend, so I got myself a last-minute appointment and saw one of the other doctors in the practice. He took a look at my leg, felt it a little bit, and he went white as a sheet. He sent me straight to the hospital to get an ultrasound to test for blood clots. So much for working today.

So first things first, I had to find someone to watch my younger daughter who had off from school today. Got that straight and headed to the hospital. Sat around there forever, then they finally ran some tests on me. They found clotting, but not deep vein clotting. "Superficial" clotting. You know, like the People Magazine of clotting. But my doctor (who was in surgery) misunderstood what the lab tech reported and had me admitted into the ER.

So then I'm in the ER, and they had to stick me about four times to find a vein to do some blood work. Human pincushion time.

Meanwhile, the PA who was treating me got in touch with the doctor and gave him the correct info. So after they drew all the blood they needed and started an IV, they unhooked everything and sent me home with instructions to ice my leg, keep it elevated and take one Motrin every 8 hours. Oh, and don't forget that ER copay.

I can't make this stuff up.

I'd have put this in the Rant Thread, but since I don't have a dangerous clot, I figure that balances out.

Wow... that sucks looper... what a complete disaster at the hospital; and to think you/we pay hundreds of dollars for this.

Glad to hear they finally got their story straight...hope the insurance company gives you a break due to their poor communication.

Best wishes on a speedy recovery.

Samsung seems to having some serious issues lately.  Maybe they need to spend more time and money on their quality, not quantity.

Sorry to hear about all the runaround. I hate hospitals for This reason; I have had my share of screwups over the years.

Talk about boring: sitting here listening to my daughter read her US History book as she does her homework. I'm it sure what she is trying to accomplish. Apparently she doesn't process information quietly

See people tell me I'm talking to myself but I say I'm thinking out loud

I used to do that when younger. If I was able to do so uninterrupted, when it came time for the exam, I could close my eyes and read it all over again.
