Gorgeous weather all this week... mid-80's and sunny.

Showers coming this weekend, and along with it the 80's are gone!!  Low to mid-60's for highs and lows at night getting down to freezing.  Arrgh!  is it that time of the year already?

Fellow weather nerd here and my undergraduate degree is actually in meteorology, so happy to share some thoughts and weather in my neck of the woods. I live in northern NH so not the best for golf, we actually got some snow this morning which is a bit early but no too uncommon and it shouldn't last long. It has been about 32 this morning and should only get into the 40s today with some clouds.

You guys got hit with that tropical storm remnants which clearly still had some good moisture in it. Should be moving off shore now so hopefully you clear up soon and it leaves some slightly warmer air behind it.

20-40 mph.

That is brutal wind. Expecting similar conditions on Monday but with some wet weather and temps in the 40s so that is going to feel quite chilly

We don't get much rain, and when we do it doesn't last very long.  Average 7" a year.

Living here you wouldn't know that Washington is the "Evergreen State".  🤣

It's a different beauty, like most places all over the country.  We don't have the fall colors of New England, the snow-capped peaks of the Colorado Rockies, or even the evergreen trees of western Washington.  Our area looks more like Las Vegas than Seattle, but we are at the confluence of the Columbia, Snake, and Yakima rivers...  wine country!

Yeah once over the Sierra Nevada mountains its a whole other climate for sure. The Bad Lands are parts are called that yes are good for growing wine, and just some amazing features. I remember watching a Nature episode as a kid about how the theory was (could have changed) was that this land was shaped by a large glacial lake letting go and letting out tons of water at once which carved the land into the severe features found around there.

We dropped to 32 overnight and we are still holding at that temp this morning.  No frost that I can see though.  We tarped a couple outside plants that will eventually need to be brought inside.  They say it will stay dry but the high today will stay in the 40's.  I have a set of steps to build for a deck so I will have to keep moving to stay warm!
