What TV series are you streaming?

Started watching "Hijack" tv series.. only 4 of the 7 episodes out currently. Good show.

On the advice of a friend my wife and I have just finished season 1 of 'The Wire'. An old police series from 2002+ but really good story line, production and acting. Did you watch this back in the day? If you missed it, go and find it and enjoy. Now on to season 2.

Recently finished HiJack (Apple+) - it was good, each episode ended in suspense but I thought the ending was just ok.

(Apple+) - After watching a couple episodes of Ted Lasso 2 years ago, I thought SWMBO wouldn’t like it, but dau recently telling us how good it was, we started watching.  Once we got into it, we couldn’t stop binging!  All great characters but my favorite is Roy.

(Apple+) - The Last Thing He Told Me -  excellent - mystery about a husband that suddenly disappears, with a past the wife starts to uncover. 

(Apple+) - Underrated, about Stephen Curry.  Haven’t watched yet but a friend said it was excellent.

(Paramount +) - Your Honor - watched this awhile ago and really good, starring Bryan Cranston.  There were 2 seasons and while that is the end, I want more.  About a very respectable judge who’s son accidentally kills another kid in an auto accident, then gets scared and leaves the scene.  His dad, the judge, convinces his son to turn himself in, but, he doesn’t as both the son and dad realize turning himself in would/could be a huge mistake. 

(Netflix) - Just finished the latest season of the Lincoln Lawyer. It’s always good and I’m a big fan of Michael Connerly.

(Netflix) - The quarterback.  I liked it, and shows three different perspectives (Mahomes, Cousins, Mariotta).

(Netflix) - early this summer watched Jury Duty, another that we binged.  Absolutely hilarious. 

(Netflix) - The Crown - dramatization of the life of Queen Elizabeth II.  5 seasons.

(Netflix) - The Diplomat - Keri Russell in a political drama as ambassador to UK.

(Netflix) - The Queens Gambit - watched a year ago but excellent series about a young female chess prodigy. 

(Netflix) - Formula 1 - 5 seasons of behind the scenes docuseries. A fav of ours, 

(Prime) - Just started the final series of Jack Ryan.  Always like Tom Clancy’s work but not much of a fan of him when I met him through my work with the Navy.  At that time I was working as an engineer developing acoustic models and signatures for underwater ‘things’ to be used in training simulation systems.

A lot of good recommendations in this thread that I’ll have to add to my list.

With a newborn TV time (and golf) have been near 0 but just managed to finish the last season and Jack Ryan. Only other show in progress currently is The Righteous Gemstones. Ridiculous and hilarious show on Max (HBO) if no one has watched it yet.

Twisted Metal on Peacock is a fun adventure romp that lands squarely with my demographic. I grew up playing the video game and find reminiscent humor throughout.

There's a sneaky amount of material to explore, future dystopia lends itself to a long evolving story. I hope they make a bunch of seasons.

Wife and I just started only murders in the building season 3 last night. 

Foundation is my other go to right now and Spec Ops: Lioness is the last weekly show I have been watching. 

That is all I have time for!

I also played a lot of twisted metal growing up! I’ll have to give the show a try! 

The only tv shows that I have going right now are Ted Lasso and Jack Ryan and I’m in season 1 of both and fully hooked on both.

I really need/want to watch Full Swing, but I was hoping to watch it with my wife.

Since this is a golf forum, a really fun Netflix series is The Short Game.  It’s an entertaining docuseries made about 10 years ago that follows some 8-9 year old kids that are serious golf competitors as they prepare for the worlds largest amateur golf tournament.  One is Alan Kournikova, 1/2 brother of the tennis star. Not sure if still available on Netflix but a very entertaining watch.

It's still available, and it is entertaining. There was one dad that was the epitome of cringe, constantly going on about how his daughter was going to be the next Tiger, to the point where even she was tired of his shtick.

Yes, his expectations were actually hurtful to her and someone needed to rein him in with the pressure he put in her.  I think I looked her up a year or so ago and turned out pretty well in spite of him.  I was a spotter for an AJGS Invitational about 5 years ago and Kornukova was in 8th grade and just crushing the ball and one of the leaders.  Just amazing the number of tournaments these 8-10 yo kids play in.

hi everyone! Now I've started watching the 3rd season of the TV series Billions. This is a fascinating series about the confrontation between top officials and businessmen in the United States. You can see a lot of interesting things there, such as the behind-the-scenes life of the political and business elite, various large-scale events such as the Olympics. You can watch it and others at https://soap2day-1.com/ for free. I recommend it. But my favorite is still Suits. I also liked The Witcher from the new shows.

Also a big follower of Billions.  Also started watching Succession (HBO Max).  Anxiously awaiting the next season of The Morning Show which I think is coming soon. Also need to start the latest Jack Ryan season. 

Also just finished watching the Netflix Painkiller, a limited series about Purdue Pharma and the OxyContin epidemic.  Other than the owner Sackler and executive board, the characters are factionalize composites. Enjoyed it and thought it was well done.

Wife and I started Suits on Netflix. Had always heard it was good, but really enjoy it. Great show after the little guy goes down.

With the 2 young ones, work and forum it'd truly been hard to find time to watch much however I did finish off Foundation. Really like that series and hope it continues as there is so so much story and ways it can continue. 

The one show my wife and I watch together as our date night show is Only Murders In the Building. It's fun and has some good story arcs making it entertaining for both of us. Apparently there will be one more season and then they are wrapping up which I also think is appropriate.

Just finished watching Lioness - not sure if it’s Apple+ or Paramount+ as we have P+ bundled under Apple+.  Also watching the latest seasons of Billions and The Morning Show.

I have a neighbor who is a good friend and grew up in England. He said that in the UK television series only go 2 seasons and that after the 3rd they typically degrade in value. Of course there are exceptions to the rule but I think in a lot of ways he's correct. It's hard - really hard - to keep that same level going.

I'm really liking Invasion on Apple+. Only, I hate waiting for the next episode to drop.

The Continental on Peacock, John Wick prequel, has been very good. Only 3 episodes, but E3 is 1.5 hrs. Enjoyed it very much.

Foundation on Apple+ is good, but it's a dip-in to watch an episode (maybe two) and bolt kinda deal for me. I really do like it, and sci-fi is right up my alley. Just, for whatever reason, it's hasn't yet ignited my binge urge. I'm on S2, E7.

Recently finished Suits. Absolutely loved that show, sad that it's over for me. Tried to watch an episode of the spinoff, Pearson, but didn't finish E1. Slow, imo, and this former NYer (48 years) really doesn't give a rat's ass about Chicago's underworld nor perpetually nefarious politics.
But, Suits? Stellar show. Quick pace, fantastic dialogue, smart storylines, unfailingly entertaining.

Only the pilot episode was filmed in NYC. Every single other episode was filmed in Toronto.

Lioness was good! 

Been going through Gen V for all those fans of The Boys it's a near must watch. Equally disturbing and graphic. 

However Loki season 2 is started which I really enjoy. That's been one if my favorite series for the last few years. 

We also went back and started watching Rules of Engagement for fun. Great show!

There are so many shows on my list of things to watch that I will never get to them all but am really happy with how Loki has started season 2. Seems like a good direction even if it is at least for now they are making an effort to now show the actor who plays Kahn. Maybe that was scripted, or maybe that is being done with the situation he is in.

Finished the first season of The Diplomat and the second season of the Lincoln Lawyer. Both are good stuff.

My wife was watching one of the cooking competition shows—Five Star Chef, maybe? I have to say, watching people navigate a highly stressful situation in a kitchen is not really my brand of entertainment.

Just started the documentary, Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind—wow. What it must have been like for a stand-up comedian to be booked at a club to follow Robin Williams.
