My Opinions: 

1.  I have tried one,  not for me.

2. I am not advocating that you get a LAB, but here is a way to get an idea on length.

3.  Technically yes but probably not recommended.   First, you would have to significantly alter the lie angle which could break the putter.  Second, the headweight on a broomstick is typically much heavier than conventional.

4. You need to try one.   Use one of your longer clubs and see how it feels.  I'd say buy one and see how it works; we all buy equipment that sometimes doesn't work out for us.

@Fongle congrats on getting move accomplished although I don't guess you can call it finished until the precious cargo is safe and sound at the new location...

@Wheelieb enjoy your time with the boss and best wishes as you pursue the program applying for. Just remember you never really retire, you just find yourself under new management and I hope you chose her wisely...

Good morning Spies,

Had a bit of a sleep in this morning. It’s pouring down rain this morning in CNY. Not much on tap due to weather. But my wife and I will have a lunch date. One of the local courses has a nice restaurant. The course is a Nicholas design but the rates are a bit steep for my game. We have Oppenheimer to watch this evening.

Had Nemo out on the course last night during league play. Adjust more and more to using. Drained a nice bendy 20 footer with it. Working on the final write up for the test.

I was chasing my son around the backyard yesterday…tripped on the patio, landed on a patio chair.

Decided to go to the ER today…fractured my #8 rib.  6 to 12 week recovery.  Summer started a week ago.  Played a quick nine yesterday and shot a 39…things were looking so good.

i ordered new irons last week!!!  The more I think about it the worse this gets!

Highly competitive program for military members that helps you network, get your name out in the areas you are interested in for work, and gives you a mentor/coach along the way. Retiring from the Military or like your old enough to retire? Asking as my son separated from the Air Force in November. He went in to the VA to get his College stuff started. they were like, UMMMM We can't find you in the system, WHAAAAAAT. It's been a mess but he has an appointment next week with the VA. He will be going to OIT (Oregon Institute of Technology) this fall.

Had a nice easy morning today. Rain in the forecast so I just sat around this morning, coffee in hand, in a silent house. Just me and the dog. Nice to do that and have some time to reflect on things.

Good Morning Folks

 

Recovery is going pretty good. I can tell the nerves in the back are getting happy with the extra room they didn't have before. Cutting back on the pain meds as I don't like them much. Tough to read reviews when my eye lids are closing. Everything is a squat right now, Sit in a chair, couch, bed toilet Squat, Get out of chair, couch, bed, toilet, Squat. So leg strength is still there. 

 

Can't wait to be able to pick up a club, I'm already jonesing and its only been 3 days. 

 

I hope everyone has a great day. It looks like there are some awesome plans with wife's kid's golf buddies and travel.

Happy to hear all is going well. take all the time necessary to heal properly and don't rush it... I realize that is easier said than done.

Yes from the military. And sadly that isn’t the first time I’ve heard someone say that about their family member or themself with the VA. Why that happens I can’t tell you.

Good morning all! 

Just finishing up some work before heading out and making my way to the course. Tee time is at 9, it is an hour away and the car didn't fully charge so I may need to stop and give it a quick 20 minute boost. Maybe. 

Today marks 1 year for me writing on the main site. Which honestly is a little wild. I can't believe that I have had this opportunity to contribute to the main site and am truly grateful for all that I have been gifted within the MyGolfSpy ecosystem. This community has been thriving and gaining momentum, we have continued to expand what we do here outside of just posting. I get to work with a fantastic team on the forum and another great team over at HQ. For a long time the Forum and HQ kinda felt like separate entities and we ran parallel, but not necessarily together. That has definitely changed and the MyGolfSpy community is definitely better off for it. 

After a year worth of producing content for the main site I have managed to produce over 160 pieces that have been published. Many of them small such as the Testers Wanted, but some others that are longer and is just fun and cool to see. A huge thanks to Greg the former COO for opening that door for us. The Forum Member Recaps have been stellar and a real hit which I love to see. 

Hope everyone has a fantastic day and best of luck for all those out there golfing this weekend!

Morning all, a rather grey start here today but still pleasant temperature. Another duty day and then this evening I’ll be watching England in the knockout stage of the Euro’s (European football competition for our colonial friends ) and then the end of the Rocket Mortgage so no playing golf.

Good Morning everyone!!

A little grey and wet here so not sure about golf today .. since I have the advantage of being able to go pretty much whenever, I can avoid mud ball and be more of a fair weather golfer!

Always things to take care of around the house, right?, and there's always the garage net and basement putting mat for a little practice time. 

Did have some good range and putting green time yesterday; but the course was super busy .. probably due to today's forecast .. so didn't get an open tee time while I was there.

Good morning Spies from rainy Baltimore! Couldn't get a flight back to the Casa until 6 pm, so a day to kill. No golf, but plan to get in something resembling a Fit For Golf workout here at the hotel. Was able to get late checkout so don't have to spend the day wandering around the city (or the airport) waiting for my flight. First, watching F1 and hoping it's not just another boring Verstappen procession.

Congrats to @GolfSpy_APH on the anniversary and good luck in the tournament!

Speaking of tournaments, hard to believe in six days I'll be playing in one on one of the world's 10 best courses. Tee times and pairings were supposed to be posted on the Royal Dornoch site last week; so far, no. As always, the goal is just not to finish DFL.

Tee times aren't out, but the entry list is. The 121 entries represent 68 different clubs. Not counting my dual membership in the Carolinas Golf Association. I thought that was pretty impressive, and a tribute to how many people want to play that course in competition.

If you get the chance, hit 'em straight and putt 'em straighter!

Morning All,

Yesterday we cleared up a bunch of brush to make the property look good. Still have some to take care of, but the dump site is closed today. We also went and watched our favorite local singer at the Virginia Beer company. It was terribly gross yesterday heat wise. We normally would have stayed the whole time while he played, but we decided to head out early. No golf today as I think I pulled my calf muscle, at least it is a little painful when I walk. 
 

@GolfSpy_APH congrats on the milestone and good luck today on the course. Also, hopefully your car gets you there.

It's going to be 77° here so what should I do today? Not hard for me let's play 18! Going to tryout my new Adidas Codechaos 22's! I have not worn any shoe but Nike's since I was 13 yesterday old and that company shoes put me in a cast for 6 weeks because of ankle problems! I'm liking my practice rounds in these!
