2024 MGS Kingsmill Resort -Live Thread

The 3rd Annual MGS Official Outing at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA is underway. 

The weekend will officially kick off Thursday morning with several members visiting the brand new MGS Headquarters and Test Facility.  Then about half the group will take on the local legendary Royal New Kent golf course, designed by the late Michael Strantz. 
 

This thread will serve as the official thread to follow along and join in the posting comments. Everyone is encouraged to post even those not attending.

So, was super pumped to run into @Golfspy_CG2and @MDGolfHacker at their track today for their league as a guest.

I got to see Rob's office and while he sold some stuff recently, it was worth the price of the drive down.

We had some rain for the past round and play was up and down, but the memory of playing with them is what lasts long. The course was in beautiful shape even given the rain and getting to play with the superintendent (Tom, who isn't a forum guy), Rob and Jose we all had a good time.

Tomorrow plan is breakfast from the hotel, a stop at Costco for supplies, a stop to visit HQ, then the grocery store and finally Kingsmill. Very excited

Just to make everyone aware, the reason I won't be taking part in all the RNK fun tomorrow. 

I did have my original Wednesday plan for disc golf with @STUDquefall through due to some new work responsibilities of his, so it shifted to this Wednesday league round, and the HQ visit tomorrow, so it's all worked out except now Enrique and I are on a meetup quest of our own.

Also, don't let that smile or the screen name fool you from the picture in the previous thread @MDGolfHacker is a straight up savage. Dude was dropping bombs on his way to a 38 today, hopeful he got his closest to the pin as well.

I got to see some good golf today, I'm hopeful I can replicate that for the guys coming along. At least you'll get to see the other crazy patterned ByrdGang shirts I've packed up, and my two new hats!

Safe travels to the rest of the Spies heading into Williamsburg today and looking forward to meeting some at the MGS HQ and more at RNK in a couple hours.

Many other spies will be traveling in route to Williamsburg on Thursday.  
 

Everyone will come together Thursday evening to see old friends and meet new ones.

@Berg Ryman, said the man who was money from 7' in on putts!  That dollar bet that I won from you at Queenstown may not stay with me after this weekend!

As for the start of my journey, I will miss all the festivities of visiting MGS HQ.  I'll be in the office today and will head down to Williamsburg after work. Tomorrow, I'll start off my day also working before leaving early to meet up with the spies for the first round at Kingsmill. If this meet up is anything like Queenstown, it will be a blast!

Made it!! First flight landed on time, 15ish minute brisk walk (with one quick pit stop ) from Terminal B to Terminal F and down the next endless corridor to the gate .. whoo hoo VA here we come!!
