Ughhh
Just heard that Mizuno is delayed on shipments. Currently quoting 4-5 weeks. I ordered 3 weeks ago and was given a 2 week estimate. If I'm lucky, mine might show up by the end of the month.

... Sometimes OEMs are caught in the middle. I think it is always better to under promise and over deliver. Quote 4-6 weeks and deliver in 2-3 weeks. But we have all read posts where someone didn't order club(s) because they didn't want to wait 4-6 weeks. So some OEMs deal with the exact truth of what "should" be available if everything in the chain arrives on time and pay a price if they don't. But I get it and would be frustrated too if I was told 2 weeks and it ended up taking 4-6 especially at the start of some season.

Yeah from what I was told it was some system issue that caused the delay. It sucks but at least I still have clubs to play with until the news clubs show up.

Callaway told me my driver was backordered 2-3 weeks for a while. Then I got notification of shipping on the same afternoon they told me it was still backordered- keep the faith

I didn’t think I would like less taper under the lower hand until I tried the MCC +4 Midsize and I don’t think I’ll ever go back. I might experiment a little with another piece on the lower half to make basically a +5 but for now I found great success with these current grips.

I tried a few other reduced taper grips after getting the MCC +4 Midsize and except for my "specialty wedges" (CPX midsize- the jury is still out on those), I won't play anything else

Absolutely, I am the same way. Even just when swinging my dad’s clubs that are gripped in Golf Pride 2G Midsize I immediately miss the reduced taper of my own grips. I am doubly grateful that Arccos sells the MCC+4 Midsize with their tracking imbedded as I had so many issues with the screw in sensors.

Well, I was really waiting on the new EvnRoll 5.2 Duo putter to become available and when it finally did, pull the trigger on it. One of the main reasons was I had the ER10 putter and I liked the way I rolled the ball. But I was my best with my Odyssey StrokeLab Seven. So when they new ER 5.2 Duo line up came out, I was excited since its similar to the Seven look.

After finally getting it, love the way the ball comes off the face and the roll is standard ER. The one thing I had an issue was with the alignment at address, I was basically missing everything right, but after adjusting how I was looking at the alignment at address, I started to make more putts.
image.png.081e5f7bdff55a4314bcaa0926b322d5.png

And as a bonus, TM send me an email about trading by current Stealth and they giving me 150% more for it. So I have traded by Stealth for the newer Stealth 2.

It's purdyyy.

Went to Toms River Golf Center and saw this really cool Hogan Sovereign Putter steel shaft wooden head with a metal face. It was in a leather bag with some blade irons and persimmon woods, all branded Wilson. It was marked as a set, but they let me have it separate for $25. 😊

Have no need, but it will be the guest bag putter. Really reminds me of the Honu putter that has been mentioned on here. Like 100 years older but similar look.

Now the Ping Wack E can rest comfortably on its mount by the putting mat and won't get scratched up if I do host a golfing guest.

20230419_151633.jpg

Noticed a bin with used balls at the counter $12.95 for 3 dozen. That is the ultimate don't need but what the heck. Brought home a bunch of @Yellow Ball's cousins couldn't quite find 36 that caught my eye, but tons of yellows I hadn't ever seen like Slazenger Distance, Srixion q star and trispeed tour, Precept Laddie X, TM burner, and Saint nine q soft.

Sometimes you just find a deal on something you can't pass up. I bought a set of Hogan's a couple of years ago from the golf course just because I wanted a set.

Not specifically golf-related, but I was in need of new insoles for my golf shoes. My New Balance Striker v2s (both pairs) stretched out a bit and my toes starting overhanging the stock insoles. That led to blisters, and made them basically unwearable for most of last season.

After reading some reviews, I settled on PowerStep Pinnacles. It was between those and the Game Day insoles. Both are marketed as athletic insoles, but not as fancy or expensive as the VKTRY ones that Paddy Harrington endorses.

Nice spring to them. Don't think that they will add 10 yards to my drives, but if they keep me less fatigued and blister free after 18 holes, I'll be happy!

On the practice mat, last night and today combined made 27/28 from 3-5 feet. It makes the short ones I'll give it that. Feels very balanced when swinging it. Easy to align and easy to stay on line.

I'd be very interested in hearing what you think about these.

These are good. I sell the medical grade version in my office.  I just picked up a pair of FJ Tour Alphas in extra wide in my quest to find shoes that are truly comfortable....🤞

What size are you? I wear a 13 or 14 in extra wide and amazingly the FJ D.N.A. Boa from 2016 fit like a charm in 12 Extra Wide. I have bought and returned various different shoes over the years because none touched those in comfort or fit. Somehow I've worn them for seven years and they've got maybe one season left in them before I'm gonna have to find a replacement. None of the new FJ's in 12 Extra Wide fit the same and anything past 12 is only available in Wide which is too narrow.

Well normally I wear 9 and a half Adidas but depending on what shoe it is it can be completely different. When I tried on footjoyce before the size 9 fit the best but it wasn't a wide shoe. This time I ordered extra wide to try it and see how it felt in an 8 and 1/2. I'll let you know this week when I get them.

Hate yourself, not the game...

Just ordered my dad some new Cleveland Launcher UHX irons! He is finally upgrading from his Ping Zing irons that are older than me! He has been playing golf for 40ish years and he told me this will be the first set of irons he has ever had that are brand new to him so I'm even more excited. He is newly retired and I can't wait to spend the summer on the golf course with him.

Cleveland makes awesome irons and your Dad will be like a kid at Christmas!  Great job buddy!

As I have gotten older, I do not walk as much as I used to so I decided to get a cart bag to stay more organized. Per the Spy reviews, I just purchased a 2023 Sun Mountain C130 bag. Looks like this thing has everything to stay organized and protect my clubs. I'll let everyone know after I play today
