Course Bucket List

I'm going to do my bucket list in my home state. I've played a lot of great golf course in Michigan, but I haven't played any from this list.  If I did a worldwide bucket list it would be very similar to what everyone else has done - so I'll do Michigan.

1. Crystal Downs

2. Arcadia Bluffs

3. Oakland Hills South

4. Forest Dunes

5. Kingsley Club

6. Forest Dunes Loop

7. Detroit Golf Club

8. Bay Harbor

9. Franklin Hills

10. Shepards Hollow

Yeah, half this list I've got pretty much no shot of every playing.  I was lucky enough to play Oakland Hills North in a high school match back in 1986 - if you can believe that - and it was incredible.  But i have zero hook ups for private courses other than Blythefield and Egypt Valley over in the Grand Rapids area.  Played Blythefiield last year (very nice, great shape old school Cc) - and I'm playing Egypt Valley in July.

Played it several times.. It is great..I have not parred the floating green yet... for a great weekend of golf the whole Spokane/Coeur D'Alene area is great.. Circling Raven at the other end of the lake is great also.. Spokane city courses are great fun and great priced...

Worth a trip..

Agreed!  Coeur d'Alene is nice, but I prefer Circling Raven.

And as long as you are over this way, travel an hour south of Circling Raven to Pullman and play Palouse Ridge on the WSU campus.  Then, a 90 minute drive to Walla Walla and play Wine Valley, a US Open local qualifying course.

So Oakmont is still #1 on my bucket list, got married there this past weekend, got to putt on the practice green. I am a fairly good putter, Im convinced if I ever play I will shoot a 170... The greens were like glass

This is a fantastic list, and I am stealing this for myself.  Being new to the area, I am always looking for ideas of where to play.

I was able to play Arcadia Bluffs last fall, and I cannot recommend that course highly enough.  I hope you're able to start checking these off the bucket list this year.

Will do. I think my U.P. golf this year is going to be at Drummond Island with the wife and in-laws. I'll see what I can make happen later in the year.

I'd recommend adding Ruth Lake CC to this list. It's not as exclusive or well known but it's an awesome track with a great set up and make sure you grab dinner at the club house after.

I got up to Michigan for a long weekend and got to play Arcadia Bluffs, Forest Dunes, Kingsley Club, and The Loop.  Got rained out at Bay Harbor.  The golf is definitely worth the trip.  Hopefully, I can back up there to play some more of those great courses.
