Morning spies! Late check in here but have been up and moving and got all the chores done already on this rainy day.  Even ran to the store so I can make some shrimp scampi tonight (one of the fiances favorites) Hope its a great day for everyone!

I still slice with my driver but man can I launch it when I make good contact. I won a square game during superbowl and was able to use that money to purchase the new Callaway Ai Driver. When I was getting fitted I was averaging around 250 yards a hit.  I got another kid coming so taking lessons is going to be much further down the road but I can't wait until I can get some lessons to really fine tune my game

Lots of evaluations going on so if you're interested in some equipment, chances are MGS has reviewed it. Welcome from Wyoming!!! I know you're a "greenie" but I play a lot down in CO. There are follow options to follow people if you enjoy their posts. I would recommend you follow folks. Happy Birdie Hunting!!!

A lot of very good information and people in all areas of the MGS forum, as well as great articles on the MGS main page.

An easy way to get acclimated is to start each day off in the "Good Morning" thread and interact with the other members here.

The on-going MGS tests are great to follow, and the older tests give you some thoughts or ideas on products already put through the testing processes.

I will happily agree with @Erin B about starting your day with the “ Good Morning Thread “… Likewise on the suggestions of threads about equipment being bought, forum equipment testing opportunities, individual member testing reviews, and deals on golf equipment. There are a plethora of choices on this site to get your fix for your golf addiction. Again, welcome and may you find nothing but fairways and greens.

Greetings one and all.  While no longer technically morning, just wanted to send a quick update on the home simulator project...

The Carl’s custom C-Series enclosure is ordered (96” x 108” viewable screen size)- thanks to my friends at Great North Golf (Stephen is awesome to deal with!)…but I now have to patiently wait the estimated 1 month until delivery time, the Optoma GT2100HDR (4200 Lumen, 1080p) projector is here and produces an absolutely gorgeous image, a new laptop to run everything (MSI GF63 Thin- i7 12450H, RTX 4050) has been fully updated and GSPro installed and courses downloaded + the Garmin R10 configured and tested (it works in direct mode- no more having to go through the Garmin app on my phone and then to the laptop!!), the hitting mat ( 4’x 5’) is ready to go… just missing the industrial carpet overlay + thick underlay (my best friend is a lefty, I’m a righty…so we have to hit the center of the mat area…need extra space to be able to stand at same level as hitting mat)… but that’s next week’s fun.  I’m setting up in what used to be the garage but has been converted into an addition- just getting it emptied out and ready for the sim.  Fingers crossed that by early May, I’ll be able to hit some balls whenever I want, no matter the weather outside

Late to the good morning party today, been a super busy start to the workday as I am off tomorrow and need to get some end of the month tasks finished before we roll into April! Taking the day off tomorrow and heading to Milwaukee as the boys wrap up spring break this weekend to go to a children's museum down there as well as a really cool duckpin bowling alley. For those unfamiliar with duckpin bowling, it is a shortened lane with smaller handheld bowling balls and short, squatty bowling pins. Our boys, particularly our oldest, LOVE TO BOWL. 

My brother recommended this place to us in the summer last year so we checked it out and had a great time. Him and his wife will be able to join us this time around as they live in Milwaukee, so should be a really fun weekend. 

Warmer weather is coming, and with highs in the 50s and 60s towards the end of next week, I hope it brings the opening of my home course as well. I am extremely anxious to get back into a regular playing routine. With @Samuel09152 & @BreakfastBall15 starting their "Breaking" series threads, it has me thinking about starting another 2024 thread in my pursuit, although a long shot, of Breaking 80 this season. I shot a combined score 81 last year on two back to back 9 hole rounds on consecutive days to finish my scoring rounds for 2023, and I think it is possible if I can get my ball striking dialed in. Really looking forward to following along with those guys, and encourage anyone and everyone to start your own 2024 season thread! It is super fun and there's a great following here to support you!

Good morning (afternoon) all!

Late start to the Forum today, mostly because I slept weirdly and have a terrible kink in my neck. Can barely turn my head to look between monitors. Hoping that some stretching can help ease it as the day goes on.

Will be watching some of the Texas Children's Houston Open today as I attempt to be somewhat productive at work.

@ZJeb67 love those puppers - we also had a Black Lab.. and the same sort of couch cover .. ours was also a very excellent couch potato .. often used the end armrest as a pillow!

Good morning, just found some super cheap hotels in Vegas for May. Thinking I may just book a trip. They are like $14 on the strip!! Plus a resort fee I am sure, but still. Will need to get some advice on where to go soon. Always be looking at flights and hotels for golf places!

Well, since the house is on the market…

I will be transferring to Hawaii this summer, and I am promoting to Chief Warrant Officer in 2 weeks.  Looking forward to a new chapter in my career and be able to play golf 366 days a year (on leap years) soon.  
 

Could use some good vibes from you all on the house sale, we were expecting to be here for 6 years, but 2 is what we got…
