The Prairie Club is my happy place  Two Par73 courses that are deceptively difficult.  Fast and firm - except for this weekend - played 72 holes (walk/ride/walk/ride) in 50* rain… Had a blast

This could have been a very good score. 3x 3 putts, from 12' 14' and 20' plus 2 balls lost OB that were within 5 yards of the green. Tried to drive the par 4 #6 from 250y and needed 5y more to get it to dry ground pin high. Hit my approach 7i on the par 5 #8 10y left of the flag, into a tree which kicked the ball left in the water. 

9/14 FW only 5/18 gir, I had to scramble most of the day. Wedge game was tight. 33 putts due to hitting wedge inside 5' on 4 holes, not because I putted well.

Competition for men’s club matchplay team, Round three this week started great hit all 7 fairways on the front, 5 of 9 greens and made the turn at 2 over.  Missed 10 green just short on the front collar and rolled a 30’ putt for par…..then the wheels fell off a bit.  Bogey, Triple, Bogey, Double…..a pair of pars, another double but finished with a par.  Putter was working well around the green was good, driving was a little off.  The triple and one of the doubles were lost balls between the fairway and 1st cut….

4th round of the week, front 9 finished even 1 bogey 1 birdie.  All the game seemed to be on track.  Until a new problem surfaced on the back, clubs were flying 10-14 yards longer than usual, good full shots appropriate trajectories…..I guess just really getting pure shots? 3 doubles and a bogey for 7 over.  18 was funny 265 off the tee into the wind I catch a fairway bunker, about 240 to the front apron, hybrid out of the bunker I go long to the left green side bunker and make a double sandy par….

Golf.?!?!.

With a Gross 73 / Net 63 for a Net Nine Under (-9) round at Pajaro Valley Golf Club, and the winner of this week's Black Jacket Badge...

Also, as you might expect... the low net score had the most net birdies with 10 (a second congrats to @LinksgolfFever ) but since he is already showing off the MGS Forum VCT Black Jacket this week... we will spread the badge love and award the badge to two other members that also posted 10 net birdies or better this week.

Sweet! It felt nice to have a smooth round of golf for the first time in a while.  Fairways, reasonable short game and fewer stupid shots (that led to my 2 doubles!).
