After a lesson with my instructor, game came  back- it was all footwork- my timing and movement was all off.   Bringing the swing back from the ground up really helped- goes to show - the old adage that the swing starts from the ground up- still holds true!

Today was absolutely gorgeous for December 3; 49* and sunny with no wind. I'm still wearing the walking boot after my foot surgery on Nov 13. My wife and I played; she shot 84 from the forward tees. I'm not making swings with anything longer than a wedge. Mostly, I played long chips and pitches less than 100 yards depending on where my wife hit shots. I did tee off on two of the short par 3's from the forward tees and made par on those holes (108 and 122)y. All of my approach shots were spot on target and about the right distance. My wife kept my score and I shot 44 for 18 holes!! I found a way to lower my score; don't hit drives or fairway shots. I had 26 putts.

So... Next year when you have 14 good drives plus 4 good second shots on the Par 5s .. you'll be shooting 62!

Shot 42/43:85 with one birdie and four doubles! We played in the annual two Joe's tourney for our Tuesday group(35 players). I am not sure what happened but I doubled the final two holes...ugh! Was playing pretty good u til I chunked a downhill lie into a lake. Final Hole was a Par 3, overswing pulled to the way left behind a tree. Last georgeous day before a cold blows through this Friday.

Another beautiful day in Florida. 61' @ tee time 80' after 18. Shot 43-42 -85. Not impressive. Interesting part is on 17 hole hit my drive into a fareway bunker . Buried in the bunkers as a new Callaway Chrome Soft. Played that ball in 18 and hit the drive of the day and had a short iron into the green which is 180' of water. 2 putt easy parr. That is the longest drive ever on that hole. Hummmm.

Overall ball striking was solid, but driver was more out on the toe all day for some odd reason,

Had our Friday morning “old fart” 9 hole this morning. As I've said B4 breakfast is the goal here.

Anyway got lucky had 2 of the better golfers in our 4some and we had a real good friendly competition. I ended up with 2 birds and even par with my found Chrome Soft ball ⚽️ I found Wednesday. I'm getting to be a Callaway guy.

Then off to breakfast with the “bacon boys”.

I won't rub our weather in your faces but played 18 today with some friends. After a really strong start par par birdie I thought today was the day I break 80. Played really well in the front and managed another birdie before the turn, I flipped the card over quick and didn't add my score because I knew it was good (for me). Back 9, started with a blocked tee shot OB to the right. Ended up with a triple because I hit a crappy wedge into the green and couldn't hole the downhill putt. Ok put that one behind me right? Nope, double on the next. I eventually recovered and when I added it up, 40/44 for a boring 84 per usual. Hopefully I can string together two good 9s on Saturday.

Oh man I know the struggle. I've gone 39/45+ a few times this year. It's disheartening to take a high number on 10 after shooting a clean front.

 

I would say I'll race you to 79 but I think those JPX's are the fast car you need.

Walked a round yesterday, shot 36 front and 44 back. Toward it got to me that I was tired and my shot direction and distance really affected. I still haven't recovered from an injury from a few weeks ago.

Played Wednesday 8:00 morning 42* and 9-12 mph wind, nasty early. Shot 44-41 -85. Wind was taking ball everywhere.

The 17th hole semi-Island green was tough to hit. Parred it but a lot of work. Wind blew my tee shot about 15' off right side of green, pin high.

Still a fun morning.

...sorry I've got nothing. I either mountain biking or golfing this just sucks. You can take a short vacation to SoCal. It's prettu chili at night mid 50s but during the day it's toasty mid 80s.

I grew up in Western New York so I know all about snow. Remember the blizzard of 77. We could walk on to of the snow and the power lines were waist high.
