As I was waiting there was a sign saying that ankle, knee, hip, and shoulder replacement is now outpatient surgery;  in and out in a day.  Not the way my knee replacement went 6 years ago.  Amazing!

I hope she has a quick recovery and can get back it on the course soon.

Made it back last Friday from two weeks in Erie visiting family.  Lots of high-40s weather with drizzle so I didn't take my clubs, and sure enough ended up saying "what the hell" and playing with some rental sticks a couple times.  Bad weather, bad clubs...bad scores.

But, all in all, it was a good trip.  Wife and I did shifts driving straight through the night, 14 hours each way, and while it's great for knocking the trip out while the kids are sleeping, I have to say I'm getting too old for that.

I have to say my joints probably benefited from the time off from off-season training.  Got back at it this morning...

Wife and I have been reading and watched a few documentaries on being vegan the past month. That and our daughter just doesn’t eat meat at all for some reason. Decided we are going to go vegan. I’ll probably still toss in the occasional steak, but the information out there is Pretty incredible.

My wife will do well. If I can quit dipping I can do this lol. Some of the information was enlightening. I’ll still be partaking occasionally but over the next month going to hit it pretty hard.

I contemplated that myself, more pescatarian side of it.  But there are a lot of benefits.  Only problem is... I would be all alone doing it, no interest from anyone else in the Shanks Hut.

Wife had brought it up initially this past week. We had gone semi vegan about 2 years ago and. I had felt my best then. Been feeling eh since around June. A lot to do with just not exercising I think as much with work being pretty busy and the gym at work closing. Think this could jump start me and I love having smoothies for breakfast/lunch just need to get back on it I think.

Not a huge fish person/seafood in general. Will eat it occasionally but not my go to.

The problem with some of the information is there are people known to interpret things to say what they want them to say. Good luck I never discourage anyone from anything just make sure you get the right supplements and vitamins

Definitely will be, the smoothies I had been doing previously were loaded which was nice. Got away from all that when our daughter was born and Now this whole covid thing really threw us off. Made us realize how much better we felt before and we weren’t even really “vegan”

Finally getting to go back to work tomorrow after having to quarantine due to  Coronavirus for the last 14 days. I took for granted little things like leaving the house. Glad to be able to return to some normalcy.

I'm happy that you and the wife are able to make that change, I know I cannot let go of steaks.

We have several friends that have gone vegan and swear by it, including one who is a ER doc. Pre covid, they even went on vegan cruises which were both a lecture series and of course the food.

I can't remember the last time I had steak. However, I do like an occasional hamburger along with chicken and especially turkey so I'm not a candidate for a vegan diet.
