Yeah, we are all golfing brothers/sisters here..so take it all in fun😁 . It has been enlightening to see what Arccos shows versus what we perceive reality is. I did try to use the built in caddy function this past week and ignored it suggestion on one hole (which the caddy stated I should score around 6.2 strokes). Long story short, I blew up on that hole with a swing that decided to abandon me after a fantastic drive so instead I shot a 10 on a par 5. I blame the caddy for not being more forceful with me on club selection 😁😂🤣!

Foz - Were the chunks shots that just came up 10 yards short, or were they full-on fat shots that came up 40 or so short?

 

The latter should be selected out by "smart distance." The former is why I feel like we still need the ability to manually exclude shots from yardage stats. It's also why we need a target practice mode.

I believe the number was way up there......although the call for testers was 4 months ago, we have 5 selected testers chomping at the bit to get this thing going. As one of the testers, I am very pleased so far with the Cobra F8's and Arccos Tracking System.

Throughout this season, we've set up the challenges to be as even as possible. We want guys to have a chance to succeed whether they play 9 or 90 holes during the week and weight it according to baseline handicaps. Each Sunday night at approximately 6PM EST, we'll be announcing the results from the previous week as well as the new challenge for competitors AND forum members for the upcoming week.

 

Points for ties will be split up just like prize winnings on tour. Here are your results for week 1:

WEEK 2 CHALLENGES

Competitors: FIR%

Easy peasy lemon squeezie. Just getting started, let's hit some fairways. Doesn't matter what club you use but just keep in mind you're still evaluated on total season stats so don't be too conservative. Players get bonuses based on baseline driving HC so it's possible for someone to score over 100%

 

Forum Members: Trivia

Hope you guys read the intros closely. A trivia question based on the introductions will be posted SATURDAY @6PM EST. First correct answer wins the prize.

 

 

It's time for the testers to start unleashing the Cobra clubs (and possibly even give us some early impressions) so the challenge can really get going. Should be a fun week. Go get em boys!

In volume alone, Foz has us all beat.  I'm pretty sure he's golf more this year than I have in the last 5 years, LOL.  Foz will be hard to beat for this week's challenge !

You know, I didn't really have any major issues transitioning to the one length irons.  I literally don't think about the fact that the lob is the same length as the 4 iron, but I still do choke down on the wedges .  Now that I've been using the F8 One Length irons for a month or so, I've developed a problem with the 4 and 5 iron - hitting low, low bullets with it (a step up from worm burners, LOL).  Since I don't get to play as much as I'd like, I need to get more range time to work out the kinks.  Other than that, it has been an easy transition for me.

I'm always thinking about (but rarely act on) new drivers. And while I wouldn't say I was READY for new irons, I was ready to move to more of a GI profile. That's why I jumped on the chance to apply.

I was looking to get new sticks this year from the ground up - new driver, woods/hybrids, irons, wedges and putter so testing the Cobra F8's was fortuitous!

I think subconsciously, I am still putting the 4 and 5 iron a bit further up in my stance instead of where I normally put the 7 iron.  Since receiving the irons, I've only had two short range sessions with them, the rest of the time it's been on course play so I plan to put in a few extra hours this week to make sure I am doing what I think I am doing   I'll let you know!
