Up early today for my first round of golf on Long Island in over two years. Playing at the first course I played when I moved up here over 12 years ago and sadly have not played there in almost 9 years or so. Time to start knocking off the winter rust and figure out what I need to work on.

Good morning Spies,

Enjoying a cuppa with a hot cross bun this morning. Things are a bit quieter and less silly around the house this morning. Dottie our foster dog went to her fur-ever home yesterday. I’ve been listening to the Fire Pit Collective podcast series on L.A.B. Golf and Lucas Glover’s story. It’s a great listen.

It's the weekend!  Good morn all.  Up and coffeed, getting the side eye from the dogs for their morning walk.

Went for a promo Mizuno fitting last evening.  I learn a little more every time. I was hitting the 923s much better than I hit the Titleists at last week's fitting.  Both fittings confirm I swing more consistently with a steel stiff shaft.

End of an era as we're passing along the family truckster.  The plan was to drive it until the wheels fell off.  It's at 209k miles, the kids are grown and out of the house and the grocery getter just keeps on rolling. Stars aligned and someone who needs it will be getting it and we'll have one less vehicle to insure, win win

Good morning! Not a lot planned today other than I’m off to get donuts to celebrate my brother’s birthday! Coffee is dripping as we speak and I’m really hoping the donut shop has maple glazed cinnamon rolls topped with bacon to enjoy with my coffee! 
 

Also, I’m going to take my winter tires off today, so for those in the lower Michigan area, expect snow in the next week or so!

I’ll second the terrible attention to detail at Mizuno.  When I ordered the exact same set over two years ago, mine arrived all out of spec.  9 iron was 3* flat, all others were 1-2* off of lie angle.  It was embarrassing.  

When I emailed Mizuno they told me to contact the retailer rather than take ownership of the issue.

I’m glad you have a local trusted local “guy” to assist with these issues.

Now that they’re fixed, go have some fun!!!

Beautiful morning on the west side of WA today. Going to be 70° today! We have a 4 man random draw hot ball day for mens league. Shotgun start. Excited to hopefully play well in the D tier for my team.

This is my second event as missed last month due to the dreaded stomach bug.

started the morning out with a nice hot cup of coffee and caught the first couple groups at the players. Making some breakfast for the family and then off to celebrate the wife’s and @Byrnzee’s grandmas 99th birthday!

yesterday was productive enough that allowed me to get the frame of our next chicken coop built. No issues to report on with the health so that’s a plus. Today is the pga Hope program and since I was deemed fit and not a contagious mess I will be in attendance. Looking forward to it since we were supposed to go over bunker drills last week, but it was rained out. Hope everyone has a great day.

My youngest daughter has a basketball tournament this weekend so another great weather weekend of no golf. But I love watching my daughters on their adventures.

Good morning spies! Golf was rained out yesterday so was not forced to play the short course with every tree (it seems to me) overhanging on the right side of the fairways, and thus, making my draw pretty useless. 

Will be taking the A&M 9000 out for a session with the chipper this morning. Grooves on the old head are good and sharp and I hope to get some good spin results.

Just another on duty workday.

Excited to see the GBD irons up for testing opportunity, and a weekend release too!  It now has me start looking into all the differences between muscle back and cavity back irons, as both are described as more forgiving types, I just am not sure to what degree each has on game play. Which is leading into rabbit holes into GI and SGI differences as well.

Good morning spies!

This morning, range and practice is on the docket. No coffee needed so far, actually slept like a rock last night for the first night this week. Starting to gear up for my Mexico trip in a few months as my new passport arrived yesterday and it is now real (I have been to Mexico, just not in the last 21 years). Besides that, I am finally going to watch Oppenheimer, I keep forgetting to watch it and I made the mistake of not seeing it in theaters, so those are the big plans!

Good morning spies from not-so-sunny Las Vegas. Day two of our soccer tournament looks like it will be about the same as yesterday in terms of weather. Mid-50s with rain on and off all day. Two games today so not sure what else will be done today in terms of touristy things. We did go down to Freemont Street last night which was pretty interesting. I did find a golf ball stamped with a logo for Las Vegas for my wall collection. Maybe we’ll get a chance to walk the strip tonight or tomorrow night. It should be better weather tomorrow so maybe we’ll wait.

Morning Spies!

Sunny and chilly this morning but in the 60s later. Have some items to deal with around the homestead but hoping to get to the range (or course) a bit later. All depends on the chore list.

Today is National Everything You Do Is Right Day so if at all possible, you should get out and play today! You can’t lose! And don’t forget to let your significant other know that you are definitely “Right”. They will appreciate your honesty.

Morning all! Had a family member get back from the UK yesterday, apparently they'd made a trip to St Andrews while they were there and brought me back a bag of goodies. Definitely wasn't expecting that, pretty chuffed with it all

Morning all. Hosting an out of town friend this weekend so won’t get to hit the links.

We went to our favorite fish fry last night at Saint Cecilia’s in STL. It’s a Mexican parish and school so they do it a little differently. The student’s perform dances in traditional outfits, they have a couple of Mexican dishes along with the more traditional fish fry menu and, most importantly, they have *giant* margaritas.

It was a good way to kick off the weekend. I hope everyone has a good one!

Morning Spies, no golf today unfortunately. Have a lot of yard work to do been taking care of the weeds that have taken over the back yard and filling in the holes my dog decided to dig. Might make it to the range at some point after the kids go to bed but not banking on it

Good morning Spies!

At 10:00 last night I started dreaming of playing golf on Sunday, so I convinced FABWIFE to load up the car and dogs and hit the road rather than waiting until morning.  Golf addicted for sure.  I took the 10 hour overnight.  Thank goodness for coffee!  Only 4 hours to go.  And now golf tomorrow.  Seems like a fair trade to me.

Also, in case you wondered if our dogs are spoiled, may I present this evidence:  (a) we drove to Florida so they could go with us, and (b) compare their space with the back seat.

They are great dogs.

Have you been able to walk up to the golf course with the SPHERE? Anybplans of riding the coaster off the top of the building too?

Good morning all!

It's the St. Paddy's day celebration in Chicago today. I likely won't make it downtown to view the green river, but that's okay. I've seen it plenty of times and I'm sure will see lots of pictures later.

Hoping to go to the driving range in a little bit this morning. It's fairly chilly out (low 50s), but not terrible with the sun being out. May try to catch some of The Players as well. Would be nice if some people could challenge Wyndham to make it a bit more interesting.

Going to meet up with some friends later today for some St. Paddy's festivities (aka green beer and shenanigans).

We drive over by the Sphere to check it out but didn’t park and go see it. Still pretty cool. No rollercoasters here, wife and daughter are not fans.

I watched it a few weeks ago.   I need to remember that if it is an Oscar worthy movie I need to not watch; It was 3 long boring hours that I did not find entertaining.

Morning MGS Nation,

Got to play 2 days ago, wasn't a good day, couldn't really get off the tee and the iron shots weren't the best, Fell off a ladder hanging crown molding and my neck and shoulder seem to be jacked up. It was a good day anyway, since I was out on the course, only really bright spot was putting, the Odyssey AI#1 was on point and save me quite a few shots( No 3 putts), shot 79 with a lot of scrambling.

My uncles friend had sent my a package similar to yours but also included a few Jack Nicklaus 5lb notes including the DVD from RBS, St. Andrews Grass seed and a wind jacket from Carnoustie

Yes!! This is Canada today, well Victoria which is technically south of the 49th parallel so kind of in the great US of A…

but a beautiful day on willows beach in Oak Bay. 
 

I took the two grandsons to golf lessons but did t play… looking forward to Monday Tuesday on the links..

In the past I've really enjoyed history-based movies like that, especially with a connection with World War II. But I streamed Oppenheimer on Peacock shortly after they made it available, and I realized after about 20 minutes that I wasn't getting into it and really wasn't following the plot. So I turned it off. Don't think I'll go back and finish it.
