I like the vid. and Kisner. He looks like a good guy to me. If they suspended him for that  -  I'd suspend them instead and quit.

Great video!!   I've played Palmetto Golf Club a bunch of years ago.  A friend of mine was a member (he died a couple of years ago) and I was on a business trip to Aiken.  It's a great track; the clubhouse is great and the locker room is awesome, just beautiful!!

 

My friend said that membership was limited to 200 members.  No tee times needed, just show up.  The bad part was the club said they needed to redo the irrigation system and said they needed $16K from each member.  Ouch!

They had to suspend him.  First, you got a bunch of guys damaging carts that are owned by the club. If you're one of the owners or equity partners, what would you think?  If the group intentionally busted out windows, or tore up the course, would that be different?  Its all damage.  The other reason is future liability.  If cart races are implicitly allowed, what happens when some numbskull turns one over and ends up in a coma.  Huge lawsuit liability.  I'd be willing to bet its something like a one-month suspension, something to send a message as well as make clear that the racing is against club policy.  

Having said that, it looks like a lot of fun, and aside from the racing, that kind of stuff is one reason to join a private club.  Where else can you play an occasional eight-some, or whatever they had?
