B_R_A_D_Y
Used my MLM on a par 3 the last day we were able to play (Nov) ... one guy missed right into bushes, easily lost ... when we got to the green it showed where everyone’s ball landed, especially the one in the bushes. We def would not have spent much time looking under all those bushes for it. When winter is over, I hope to use it on those tees where we lose balls. Granted it won’t show exact location bouncing thru trees, but it probably will show where the ball might be in the underbrush lining the fairway ... that will be a time saver. Rchang
Just wanted to update. I'm continuing to use the Rapsodo. I have been working on Monte Scheinblum's No Turn Cast video. Has been working very well for me. The MLM is helpful to tag the video with how the shot was, so when I come home I can compare what was a good swing and see if can see trends. When I was doing the testing, my driver swing was horrible. I'm still working on it, but after a lesson and Monte's information go along with it, I'm trying to get more upright on my takeaway and get my arms moving in front of my chest more. I was able to see getting my right arm behind and stuck on this swing from couple weeks ago Working on my cues for range session today. Worked through my wedges first And slow 8 iron Then driver. Wasn't doing well Then with the real time video, I noticed I am very hunched over at address. Moved to more upright feeling (felt like standing up) Definitely MLM is powerful, but finding more uses for it Edited April 8, 2021 by Rchang sirchunksalot, tony@CIC, edingc and 2 others 5 Quote WITB TS2 10.5 M2 3HL Mavrik Max 5W Titleist 818 4 hybrid Mizuno JPX921 HMP 5-Gap Mizuno S19 56 Maltby TSW 60 Bobby Grace Shiloh putter

rvjimzhr
Hoping that Rapsodo Support reads these posts. Just purchased new Rapsodo launch monitor. It arrived and is charged. I have the app on my iphone. I cannot open the app which is a requirement to actually use the launch monitor. Rapsodo app doesn't recognize registration info,..username and password which has been confirmed email by Rapsodo. I can logon to Rapsodo page and use my new account. However, the app doesn't recognize any of this info and thus will not allow me to open the app and pair the device with my phone. So I'm dead in the water. As to SUPPORT from Rapsodo........NON EXISTENT SO FAR AFTER 2 DAYS. I've tried to create another account on the app but unsuccessful.....it doesn't recognize the email address which Rapsodo has confirmed!! (??)) My next step is to call my credit card company and cancel/dispute the charge. Maybe then I'll get some support from Rapsodo......timely and meaningful support. tony@CIC
revkev
Okay just an important word here. I had a TMag wood fitting at our club today. While warming up I threw the rapsodo down and recorded a few drivers and 5 woods - I felt like I was a bit off - more than a little tired after a poor night’s sleep and lots of days in a row with no day off. At any rate my carry distance was down with both clubs - didn’t have time to check SS or other data. On to the fitting - tried a few different 3 wood shaft, head settings and couldn’t get much of anything, My 3 5 woods carried 177, 190 and 185 the last 2 being 295 with the run out according to track man - no 3 wood shot reached that. Driver fitting was so easy - when the first adjustment the guy makes gives you shot after shot looking the same two with zero dispersion all between 225 and 235 (very good for me) 14 degree launch, 90 mph SS, 2800 spin rate, can’t get a better fit. Actually the average SS was 89.77 When I checked my average from the earlier Rapsodo shots it was 90 mph. Thats 3 mph off my normal BTW but it was consistent between the two devices including the launch angel - it was just under 14 on the rapsodo. cnosil, Mtbryant01, Rchang and 2 others 5 Quote Taylor Made Stealth 2 10.5 Diamana S plus 60 Aldila R flex - 42.25 inches SMT 4 wood bassara R flex, four wood head, 3 wood shaft Ping G410 7, 9 wood Alta 65 R flex Srixon ZX5 MK II 5-GW - UST recoil Dart 65 R flex India 52,56 (60 pending) UST recoil 75's R flex Evon roll ER 5 32 inches It's our offseason so auditioning candidates - looking for that right mix of low spin long, more spin around the greens - TBD

Calypso55
Picked up a Rapsodo last week. I've taken it out to the range several times already but I've been frustrated by the numbers I've been getting. They seemed to be registering well under my usual distance. So today I picked out a yardage sign that was placed on the range, took a reading with my laser scope to get the exact distance, and then proceeded to choose a club that would carry to that sign. There was about a 15 yard discrepancy between the laser reading and what the Rapsodo was telling me. I know that they say that there is no need for a calibration-- that it's extremely accurate right out of the box.... but I'm not so sure. And I have no idea how to manually calibrate it (if it's possible or even if I should!) Any thoughts??? tony@CIC and Vegan_Golfer_PNW 1 1 Quote I've been a Lutheran pastor for almost 40 years. B_R_A_D_Y
On the topic of using range balls with the Mevo … someone mentioned range ball distances were only off by 10% … there are a variety of qualities in range balls offered & can vary from 10-25% off compared to new brand name balls. And those figures usually are how manufacturers claim their new range balls will perform. I’m in a rural location & both the public & my club’s private range do not have new range balls. I think our club buys new balls every 5 years, tosses the cut ones & then mixes the old with the new … I bet the public range does same. So I might be hitting 5-10-15 yr old balls. And then consider how often those balls get hit per week. I don’t want to flog a dead golf cart here, but when I told Mevo tech support that I thought my unit’s distances were off by 20 yards, they blamed it on the age of my balls. They told me to go back & hit brand new balls … not 6 month old balls used for several rounds, but brand new balls. And it made a difference … not the full 20 yds I thought I was off. But def 10-15 yards better than 1-2 yr old brand name balls. Now that’s a Mevo yardage, not actual yardage. Has anyone at Golf Spy done a test to determine how balls age? Am I losing 10-15 yards if I don’t use a brand new ball Saturday morning in a $10 Nassau? They told me to go back & hit brand new balls … not 6 month old balls used for several rounds, but brand new balls. And it made a difference … not the full 20 yds I thought I was off. But def 10-15 yards better than 1-2 yr old brand name balls. Now that’s a Mevo yardage, not actual yardage. Has anyone at Golf Spy done a test to determine how balls age? Am I losing 10-15 yards if I don’t use a brand new ball Saturday morning in a $10 Nassau? MGS is live streaming the ball test this week, including refurbished Pro V's. So far looks like 3MPH less ball speed which could cost you 5+ yards of distance. I continue to use mine nearly every time that I go to the range and of late when I'm using the Spornia hitting net that I'm testing in the backyard. I'm considering springing for the premium content next year given the additional data that will be available through it. I've been using mine for a year and a half or so - I find it extremely helpful for gapping and also to make sure I'm consistent with swing speed and dispersion. Rchang
When I am working on swing mechanics, I don’t use it. Because he marks your yardages, I don’t want to muddy up the waters. And I want to focus on the swing feel as opposed to with the ball is doing at the moment. I find it helpful to do my gapping especially with half and three-quarter wedges. That really helped my last couple rounds.
