The Good Morning Thread

Good Morning MGS'ers! Finally Friday of this long and slow 4 day work week. We finally got a little bit of rain yesterday, but not near enough to make my grass happy. BIG day today as it is Kindergarten promotion day for our oldest son, Myles. His teacher, Mr. Aaron, is absolutely incredible at what he does. A large part of their daily routine revolves around movement and wellness, which coming from my profession you can imagine I love. They do lots of karate themed stuff, so building up to this week, they have been earning their different "belts" for spelling, math, faith, etc. Today they earn their "black belt" as they get ready to go from Kindergarten to 1st grade. I'm not crying, you're crying! 

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! We are headed back to my in-laws cabin to make up for having to leave early last weekend, and then are having a little cookout on Sunday with some good friends and their kids. I told my wife that now is the time to pack our weekends cause when my Cobra sticks arrive, I'm playing 18 every weekend regardless of plans

GM & Happy Friday!!  Just got back from another fun filled Friday Bacon Boyz Exec.  Beautiful morning 70* little windy.  Driver was working, irons took the day off but putting was not bad, one bird.  
Staying low key today and letting SWMBO rest up and taking day off from yard work.

I am sad to say I have no game lined up for this weekend.  Will work on it.  If anyone is in or near Indy and wants to play Sunday hit me up!  I swear I am nicer in person.    (Do I sound desperate?  I'm not.  Really.  Truly.  No, really.)

GM Y'all- why is it that 4-day work weeks seem longer than a normal work week? Thinkin' I'm gonna grab the flatstick(s) tonite and see if either of them wants to play nicely. Other than that- hope y'all have an awesome weekend and get to chase the little white ball around. HAPPY B-Day @BKervin. I'm sure you'll figure out something fun to occupy your time!!!! Got a lot planned this weekend- the smoker is gonna be busy a LOT and other things that need to get done around the house. Hopefully the weather will allow me to practice some more aspects of my short game and get that a little bit better.

Never have!  I do have some choice words for him at times, but he's heard me call him those over the 42+ years we've been married!  You can fill in the blanks!!   with that being said and all kidding aside we are still married because we genuinely like each other and spending time together!

Super late posting so… Happy Friday Afternoon all!!

Jackson did awesome in his game last night. 3 full innings (max they can do), 58 pitches, 9 strikeouts, and no runs allowed!  We were scoreless going into the 4th where we broke it open and scored 5 runs. Final score after 5, 7-4 good guys!

Game 2 tonight (rain pending)!

Been a hot minute since I’ve been posting daily. But getting back into a groove.

wife changed jobs which has changed my mornings up and work has been….hectic.

looking forward to a quiet weekend and a round tomorrow with my son and @GolfSpy BOS…..gonna need pants and a sweatshirt tomorrow with a 50* temp

Our Gson just finished HS baseball in CT then after a week visiting us in FL hex starts summer American Legion ball.  It’s great for the kids to have this opportunity.

GM & Happy Saturday.  Went out early with SWMBO for breakfast at local diner (home of the Bacon Boyz).  No golf today have to continue working on the lawn, mostly dethatching some areas and cutting back some shrubs that in season grow a foot per hour.  At least it seems that way.

Good morning spies! We finally got some rain here in Iowa which was desperately needed. It hadn't rained in weeks and golf courses were starting to feel the wrath of the sun. Luckily, the rain yesterday helped moisten the ground. I plan on getting out and playing 9 holes this morning as it is a beautiful morning. Have to get some grad school done and then I'll be headed to the course! It's time to go out and get some birdies! Have a day everyone!

Good morning MGSpies from a cool Saturday sunny start in WNY with hot coffee delivered to SWMBO and hot Earl Grey tea in my mug  last weekend before the meetup so plenty to get done, grass cutting today and Thursday will have the yard maintained well for the low rider Corgis, roses need pruning, and I am sure several jobs I don't even know about yet.  Thankful for everyone who participates in the forum and all the positive energy that flows throughout our group.  Hope golf is a part of your day more than sharing on these threads!

Love no rain and baked out conditions, old style golf,  and carrying less clubs while still covering the gaps.  We got a stretch here last week and next being dry as a bone so loaded up and ready to go if the temps stay manageable.  Brown is the new green.
