Also came across the Putt Master Putting Trainer. I will use it myself but mainly wanted it for the kiddo to give him the feel of not just flipping his hands for putts and chips. They had it at the show for $40 but recently partnered with orange whip and will be in all retail stores that carry orange whip soon and will probably be $60 to $65 retail. So had to snag it. Will also be changing the color to orange. 

Finally after my kiddo egging me on and the fact it was green one of my favorite colors I got a vivid golf range finder as they had it for $130 instead of the normal $240 on their site. In the venue I was a little worried about lens glare with all the lights but it was locking on quickly with scanning different things and looked through it really quick outside when leaving and looked good. 
so the lesson of the day is don’t take your kid with you to a golf expo because he was not help convincing me out of buying things and if anything was on the salesman side . 

But it was worth it. Your son had a blast and you got deals!

HA.. I was there on Saturday...  did come away with some BogeyBros gear after hitting their simulator and winning close to for the day.
I saw the training aid.. had mixed feelings for it.

I did a thing. I ordered my new driver to replace my Ping G400 Max. I was fit into a PXG Black Ops 8 degree driver turned up to 9 degrees with a Diamana +S 60g regular flex shaft and a grey Golf Pride MCC+4 grip. Now just waiting for the snow to go away.

Nice on closest to the pin. I hit it to 5 ft on that and was in 3rd at that point.

Well.  I feel like I just stole something.  I was in Roger Dunn and found a set of ZX7s 4/AW w/ ctaper lite 110s.  Not only that, they were also my length +1/2" and close enough to lie at 1º up.  I asked one of the fitters who looked it up... "no they're considerably more than that price, but I'm not going to change it.  They're as listed."  Woohoo.  Go to the counter, still feeling guilty, ask the cashiers.  "As marked"   

I'm hoping I didn't react like this, but I'm pretty sure I reacted like this.  .

The best part is that I'm pretty sure the sale of my Z585s will cover the cost of the ZX7s.  I'm not sure what I've done to deserve this, but thank you Golf Gods!

... Haha Congrats! Like a good break hitting a sprinkler head and bouncing onto the green instead of away from it, the Golf Gods were smiling on you. About a month ago I went into Golf Galaxy to order a T200 4 iron. Looking at the used rack like I always do, I found a set of T200 5-GW still in plastic for $899. Only the 9 iron had been hit and it looked like once into a net. They had the exact same T200 5-GW on the shelf for $1399. Normally I talk to the manager and get a discount since I would have to re-shaft them myself. But this time I was like Seinfeld in line with the Soup Nazi and didn't say a word hoping to avoid "NO Soup For You!" and finding out these had been mislabeled.

... She rung em up and sure enough the $899 was correct.

I was watching everyone go over the green., took a PW and hit to 1ft. 4in on the first swing, the 2 others were inside 10ft..
Talked with the guys before I left, they gave me the $250 gift card before I left which was pretty cool.

Love that guy, have for a long time. I don't really like to go to concerts at big arenas (crowds and screaming and all) and have wanted to go see him in TX the last bunch of years and for any number of stoopit reasons it just hasn't worked out...

So he's gonna be at The Meadowlands in June (weekend after the Kingsmill trip). Not the easiest travel from here to there but it's still closer than TX!

Some number of months I bought two tix for my wife and her daughter to go and enjoy .. and have been kicking myself a little harder  since .. so I caved and splurged a little bit more... Found 1 seat at a reasonable enough price in the same section and row as the other two tix!!

Now if they could add some lefty options to their wedges that would be great....

Got my grips from Rip It Grips. Really excited to get these bad boys on next week. The Mary Jane grip is for the 60° wedge. For the club that hits it “high”. 
 

The PacMan grip is for the driver.

You buy tees yearly? I haven't bought tees in over 10 years! Haha.. I was able to keep one plastic tee for almost a year before I lost it. But I also only play 18-36 holes a month. On a good month, I'll play up to 4 full rounds. I'm mostly a weekend back 9 player.

Just ordered new shoes in over 12 years. I ordered the Adidas S2G and Callaway Coronado V2 SL. I really wanted to keep the Callaways due to their association with Fairways For Warriors though they were just a bit too small. I walked around in them for a couple of minutes and it was just too narrow. The Adidas S2Gs seem to be true to size (size 12) and fairly comfortable. There was a $27 price point difference so I think I'll just donate that difference to Fairways For Warriors instead.

Totally agree on the woods. Love my Aerojet. Will be gaming this for at least a few years before letting my eyes stray very far.

I buy tees yearly, but I also don’t buy the package that has like 100 in them. If had a tee last me one hole. I’ve also had a tee last me 4 rounds. It really all depends on how well that tee is constructed I guess.

Did I need a new putter? No. Did I even try it before buying it? Also no. Is it going to be my last putter purchase this year? (Probably) No. Ok, so which putter are you getting rid of now that you have this new one? It doesn't work that way...

Got the AI-One Cruiser Jailbird. For no reason at all, other than...I want one. Resisted the temptation to buy those special release versions after Rickie and Wyndham called so much attention to them, but caved on the AI-One. And it's niiice - only hit a few putts on the BirdieBall so far, but early signs point to it being in this year's rotation.

So that meeting was a LOT longer than I thought it would be.    Long enough for me to sneak out to the range.  I think I'm going to like these things, especially the C-taper lites.  Nice penetrating ball flight with good enough spin to stop a range rock on the fake turf range greens.  I'm still a little giddy since I've been lusting after these irons since they came out. 

They're in great shape.  Typical bag chatter, typical face wear, and plenty of life left in them.  I'm faced with an interesting dilemma since the lofts slide toward more traditional at the bottom end of the bag.  For the time being I'm going to bag the whole set and only have my 56 as a true wedge.  We'll see how it goes.
