What Have You Bought Lately? (CHA - Club Ho's Anonymous)

... Small purchase but hopefully big results. I bought an aftermarket 2gm weight for my Stealth 2 HD and replaced the 4gm weight in the heel, then added 2 gms of lead tape on the toe. My hope is that negates the 4 gms in the heel adding draw bias since I now have 2 gms in the heel and the toe. I realize there are other features inside the head that also contribute to a draw but todays round was a good test and it performed well. Placebo? Maybe and it is only one round but if it works it works!

Well my used Mizuno MP Type'll seems to work well now that I've fixed the adapter thread with a Tap, I lost the o'ring somehow but after hitting 6 balls the heads still attached not loose.

So what's the function of the rubber o'ring, is it required? And should I get another one?

I’m a hacker who loves nothing more than to change how I play, be that grips shafts and heads its all fair game lol…

Want to hear the review on that bad boy also!!! I have a Garmin Tactix that's been good but not a total GOLF watch per se

Had a few minor difficulties today with the new SS X5. First, we played the back nine first today so after 9 it wanted to end the round. I was able to switch to the front nine , but then after the round I had trouble finding the “end round” button…ugh!

i shot a 41/40:81 today and SS X5 had me as a 78.

one other issue, the watch did not have our correct tees, so I had to select the white tees. When it does not pick up my tee shot, it will place it on the “white tee” location.

it took a few holes to get used to it, but I managed okay.

BTW, I Love it!

I responded in your thread and while I am not sure with your club,  but its main purpose is to prevent the adapter screw from falling out and getting lost.  It may also serve as a buffer between the head and adapter to prevent metal on metal rubbing and overtightening.

You're taking both the 54 & 58 out?  Will you add back the 60 or add another rescue or driving iron?
Interesting you found your sand game suffered when going to the 54.  Same issue I had, going from 56 to 54 as sand wedge.  I started using 60 from the sand and was more consistent. The 54 gave me the distance I lost with the 56 from 102 yds to 80 yds. Just changed to a 58 degree from the 60 degree and now getting used to chipping with 58.

I use my 60 in bunkers , it works well for me. Never been a fan of the chunky sole on sand wedges

Don't know if you have the same feel, but I find the 60/58 degree wedge out of the sand to give me more control.  If the sand is really fluffy, I'll use the sand wedge.

58/14° k grind vokey was my best sand club, but I grew weary of the high bounce in anything but sand. It became a very particular use club. The Jaws Full Toe 56/12° does the job of the 58° and LW for me now that I've gotten 6 months getting used to opening the face on it.

Am I actually chasing more ball speed/distance? Or just chasing my tail? 🤔

Have been contemplating the idea picking up a Cobra LTDX LS to run head to head with my already performing PXG 0311.. nothing really concrete though.. until today..

Found a pretty insane deal on a limited LTDX LS (murdered out) that pretty much made up my mind for me. I'd say better than demo condition for $200 is as good as I could ever find. Not to mention I can sell the Tensei white XS for $75+, this head in this condition might actually make me money if I decide not to keep it.

If it wasn’t for being a damned lefty I would have picked the black edition up so fast. Settled on the regular Black/Gold LS model as I don’t like Glossy tops. Cobra is great but there are two things that disappoint me with them, lack of options for lefties in the wedge area and lefty special editions of their drivers.

... Haha BOTH of course. 🤪  That's what most of us lifelong golf equipment forum members do. After dialing in those clubs that are performing as well as anything we have ever played means checking out reviews, Ebay, store sales, classified and pictures to see what could challenge what is already working. ... I may be 70 but I will always young at heart so I needed to upgrade my wardrobe to reflect that. Slowly getting rid of my FootJoy Large shirts (giving them to my waist challenged playing pard) and replacing them with Medium modern shirts. Given away 10 and bought 10 so far. Coming from the Freddie big baggy shirt era that hang almost to my knees, it is too hot to tuck in shirts for 1/2 of the year here (we set a record high of 99* Monday) and I needed some modern shorter length shirts that are designed to leave untucked. A slimmer fit to match my physique too. 🙂  For obvious reasons I couldn't pass up the Bermies Cactus shirt and the hippie in me loves that they are recycled:

Im waiting for mine also!!! Did we just become best friends?!? I think we did!!!!

I tried using the R10 with the sim in my garage but there's just too much going on keeping it from reading correctly... Anxiously awaiting now...

Ha. I came very close several times to purchasing the Garmin R10 … glad I didn’t. But at $500 for the R10, that’s a significant value for the features it gives you.

Now it’s a hitting net and hitting mat that are next. Lol

It's fantastic value- there's just too many rules to make it work and my garage has too many frequency emitting things causing it to function erratically. I will still use it for Awesome Golf when I can though and more than likely at the range since it's so easy to carry around. It's very accurate outdoors.

Hit 'em long!
