Who would it be??? Tiger, Phil, Jack, DJ, Jordan? 

 

WHO, and Why???

 

I've got 2 really for different reasons.

 

1) Fred Couples- there is no one cooler then Freddy around this man can play on both tours and still contend..

 

2) John Daly- for no other reason then he's John Daly.. Might be the most fun to hang with.. there will be beer and fun... LOL

James Hahn.    The last year that he played on the Web.Com,  I had the good fortune to chair the practice area volunteers at the Avenal venue.   It was later in the afternoon and some fellow volunteers and I were shooting the breeze and enjoying each other's company.   The range was empty when James showed up to hit a few balls.   To shorten the story, he joked with us and entertained us for about an hour, really, really nice guy.   The following year, when he did that dance on 16 at Scottsdale, that was James.   A few brews with him, would be an enjoyable and entertaining experience.

 

Boo Weekly.   To me, he is a good ole boy with whom I can identify.  The "Birds of a Feather" thing.   Perhaps, our drinks would be out of a mason jar.

I'd hang out with Phil.. We'll because he's a Lefty and so am I. Plus he seems to be pretty fun outside the ropes. Jack Nicholas... Just to hear the stories he could tell plus he is a genuinely cool guy that cares about the sport.

Rocco Mediate and Paul Goydos.  Nobody on the PGA tour has the sense of humor these guys have.  I would be in stitches!!   Going back even further, I would have to add Lee Trevino.

I've heard John Feinstein talk a lot about Goydos, as he was a central figure in Feinstiens first golf book, A Good Walk Spoiled.  He didn't know him at all before the book, and they have become very close friends.   Felt horrible for Goydo's the year he hit the water on 17 when leading the Players.

Unfortunately it can never happen but I'll say Arnold Palmer. We are both Pennsylvania boys, share a birthday, and my favorite summer non-alcoholic drink is a Ice Tea-Lemonade, also known as an Arnold Palmer.

 

He seemed like a great guy and I read he loved to hang out in his workshop tinkering with clubs, and at 5pm the beers came out. I spend most of my free time at my workbench so I'd feel right at home.

I'd have to say Wesley Bryan, from trick shot pro to PGA Tour player, he's a grinder for sure and I'd love some of that to rub off on myself.

Funny, we were just talking about this on the course yesterday.

 

My dream 4-some: (in order of choice)

 

1. Matt Kuchar - Down to earth and funny.

2. John Daly - Play golf, drink beer and have good time.

3. Freddy Couples - Another easy going down to earth kinda guy.

 

4th option - Peter Jacobson- dudes just funny all the time.
