Mine slipped out from underneath me yesterday, landed completely on my right heel. It is broken; I am not sure if it will require surgery to repair. In either case, according to the doctor it is an 8–12 week recovery. Ugh… IMG_4857.JPG

Man I'm sorry to see that. I've spent a lot of terrifying time on ladders over the past few months.

 

 

I'll offer this, at least it was your heel and not your shin/thigh bone/back/neck. 8-12 weeks down sucks but a lifetime of pain sucks worse.

Sorry that happened man. I'm headed for shoulder surgery in 10 days so definitely (am about to) feel your pain. At least I got to buy a big gaudy recliner over my wife's objections. Doc said I won't be able to lay down flat for a few weeks so need to sleep sitting up

I can only use a ladder when SWMBO isn't around. When we bought our house 3 years ago she forbade me to puta ladder in the garage to our attic.

I guess she's smarter than me. Get well and don't try to push the recovery let everything heal properly.

Oh No!  and you just got that Triton!!  Sorry to hear and speedy recovery.

 

I have a bunch of tree and bush trimming to do next month when I get back from my golf trip.  I hate doing it because it's up and down the ladder; been doing it for 14 years!!

Ouch! So sorry to see that.

 

I was on a 12 foot ladder yesterday opening the top part of our pavilion so I could turn it into a hitting station out onto our range. The ladder was on an upslope. With nobody else around. Probably wasn't the smartest thing I've done. But fortunately, got up and down without incident.

Our Director had a ladder accident about 8 weeks ago but he fell off it and hit branches on the way down...still recovering.
