Second round post crash, so much better than last week, yet I still left too many strokes out there. I was struggling to finish well, but then birdied the last by sticking a pitch close. Turns out it was a good thing I had the 54° in my hand, and not the 58° that I thought I pulled!

New PB! As I put in the "what have you bought lately" thread, the biggest reason for this was due to a great putting day. 28 total putts, 8-1putts and no 3 putts. I have @rkj427 to thank for the new Jailbird!

Oh man today started out like it was gonna be a career day. -2 through 4 after back to back birdies. Then lipped out a birdie putt in 5 and left a birdie putt like 3” short on 6. Then the wheels feel off. 3 bogeys to finish the front 9 and 2 to start the back before righting the ship.  Another birdie on 18 for a 37/39.

Not my best round!  I had four doubles and an unusual 3 putt.

The fairways in regulation was about "normal'" at 71%.  I also had double of my normal greens in regulation at 22%.  On the plus side, I had 28 putts.  That included 0 putts on hole 13.  It's a par 3 where my first shot was pin high in the trap on the right.  I proceeded to leave my second in the trap.  I popped my third on to the fringe with a severe down hill right to left chip.  When I stepped up to it, I felt like I was going to hole it and I did for a bogey!  A birdie 2 on the toughest par 3 also helped!

On the downside, I actually had a second shot from the right rough shoot directly into the houses on the easy par 4 seventeenth hole.  Unforced error!  Only two up and down was well below my normal chipping/putting performance.

I guess I must be saving my good shots for next week's week one Mid Season VCT tournament!  Yeah...that's it!

I missed 7/9 greens on the front. Really turned it around on the back!
