Nice article about a club golfer in Sydney's score on the weekend. Sounds like he hit it ok.

Here's one that was done by a local guy in an event MDGolfHacker and I annually play in.

 

Also this past weekend I played with a guy who was in the same tournament and finishes 3rd behind Patrick. And he confirms it was totally legit. So if he was be at out by the guy and believes it. Good enough for me.

 

I Also know the tournament director very well, and he wouldn't allow a story to be published if he had any question about it.

Awesome! Just like the dang course here with my Ace, they wouldn't recognize it because my witness was too young. At least my son, the golf gods and I know what happened on #3 last year. And they wonder why people don't like golf. Shouldn't matter if he did that from the ladies tees! He still broke the damn record.

You mean if I shoot a course record from my Blue tees, it won't count as a course record??  I guess the incentive is gone.  Oh well!   ;)

29 on the front 9 is the course record for my home course. I'm looking to beat that before I have to quit. Not sure what the 18 record is.

 

It's a really short course. So it's doable. The Par 5's are normal par 4's these days.

For a bit of perspective, the white tees play at 6284 yards. Regardless of length, still an amazing score.

Not much to say about that - incredible round.

 

My handicap has been as low as a 1 and I could never dream of shooting 58 from the ladies tees.

Very impressive. Under par rounds are tough on any course.  It does look like the course was under 6000 yards from his scorecard.

 

The scorecard is in metres, so add 10% for yards. I didn't look closely at the card, but got yardage from club website.
