Played unreal today, my best round ever at +1. We were playing in the middle of two tournaments somehow but didn't matter. The putter was fire today, made 3 birdies, lipped out on 3 more, and get this... I would have scored even but someone didn't fix their divot in front of the cup....... Today was unreal

Returned to my "home" County course after a 3 year hiatus. Of the 2 Ocean County courses this is the one that isn't an hour away. I never come here because the setup does not suit my game for scoring. The cheapest twilight rate riding combined with the shortest drive got me to go back.

The conditions were much improved from 3 years ago. Greens were on the fast side, and the rough was actually cut to a length you can find your ball 3 yards off the FW. I didn't lose a box of balls like last time I played here, only 2.

This was my first time out in just over 2 1/2 weeks because of eye surgery - it was mixed couples 18. I had a horrible day-  couldn't drive, chip  or putt which I'll attribute to the medication I'm still on (cocktail of anti-inflammatories, steroids and antibiotics). While I didn't play well I was pleased to have gotten through 18 as I had some question this morning if I could. 

Of course it didn't help that the greens were punched and sanded. Take a gander at this pic of the typical green. At least I made this putt (green ball in the foreground) for a par.

I had a poor front and a solid back with a 45/39 on a par 70 track.  The difference today was my ability to get up and down.  I had five up and downs (the most in the last month or so) and 28 putts.   

I had difficulty on the par 3's today.  I carded a "straight" 6, 5, 4 and 3 (in that order) mostly due to wet sand.  We had almost an inch or rain over night and the sand was more like wet concrete.  

take away the +4 on the par threes and it wasn't a bad round.  I finished strong with pars on five of the last seven holes.  I'm hoping that the little swing thought I found on the back can sustain it's self next week.  

Over the last few months my game has suffered a little bit.   Part of it is poor play.  Part of it is hitting golf balls 10 days in the past 13 days.  Likely an over kill!  It's to the point where I'm in a soft cap situation (three strokes over the lowest index over the last 12 months).  Hopefully I can regroup and at minimum get below the soft cap threshold with a few good scores.

The graphic summary above is from the GHIN system.  I keep my statistics on my scorecard and enter, score per hole, number of putts, if I hit the fairway (more often than not) and if I hit the green (more of an exception).  If I missed the fairway or green, I just not how I missed (hit, short, long, left or right).  You enter the data using the hole by hole screen and the graphic is automatically generated.  I find it a good summary of my game.  

I also use Shot Scope's H4 for capturing each shot.  Due to human error, I tend to miss shots.  So the scorecard information reminds me of what happened during the round.  I tend to miss a few shots here and there with the H4, but it's mostly due to human error.  With the information captured, the free Shot Scope analytical software prepared a series of tables and charts to assess the performance characteristics of my game.  I find it very insightful as it not give me details about my game, but compares my game against my handicap peers.

First time posting here. Couple years since playing this course. Not super familiar with and playing gold tees I found my drives in trouble areas I wouldn’t have found from the white tees. Although I probably would have found other trouble from the whites! Play a variety of local public courses - not one course regularly.

Not a great day scoring wiser. Weather was fantastic almost hot for a day at the Beach.

I didn’t get a full round in today. Rain delay then I had to be home early to take my mom out for an early Mother’s Day dinner. But played about 14 practice holes. Practice because I tried a few different things on some holes and I putted up to 5 balls on all the greens. I’m trying to get the putter dialed in for my major tournament next weekend.

Not posted a score for a while due to having played gash and also a lot of matchplay. Played yesterday and starting to hit it a bit better.

Highlight was my par on 17 pulled my drive left and it rebounded of the boundary wall leaving me a hanging lie with 200yds in. Pulled my 3h left again hit the wall and ended just off the green. Then lipped out the birdie putt.

So I had a brain fart moment. The courses I’ve posted I only put in the handicap for the nine I played, not realizing I needed to add them up. Is there anyway I can edit my scores retroactively or should I just start next week?

for example my forest hills rounds should be 23 for 18 holes (12/11 for each nine) and meriwether 24 (12/12)

This round was the first round in a double elimination match play tournament. Lost by one hole, I had to give my opponent 7 strokes so it was definitely a win in my books! Lol

Fun course but not overly challenging. Couldn’t find payday on the 5’s but was all over the 4’s. Driver was having a field day with several drives over 300 and one ripped 326. If my putter had been stronger I might have been able to break par. Feel like I’m close though to finally breaking par for my first time.

Based on Habducao for the course so if your course handicap was 10 if you had a par on 2 of the 10 top handicaps and your actual bird you would net 3
