  3. I completely forgot about this event and I've been looking forward to it for a month or so. Will definitely try to catch coverage tonight. Getting more into watching LPGA for sure. Loved ANWA and the Chevron was pretty entertaining. Finished the Lotte late night staying up with my newborn and was thankful for the exciting coverage to help keep me awake. Between PGA and LPGA, pretty much trying to watch golf every week and loving it.
  4. The guys at sub70 UK are great! Was quite happy to get my 659s and how they came. I have moved away from them, but won't ever be selling those irons. Just needed something with a little more distance and forgiveness. Glad to hear things are taking shape!
  5. Hoping everyone is liking the updated newsletter! The tester Wanted are becoming a little easier as well. Just a thought if there are certain threads you think would make good highlight threads for the newsletter then let me know!
  6. Here’s also a clip of Bobby Jones, Tommy Armour, and Horton Smith. Similar swing paths of inside and over. Snapinsta.app_video_208951502_3022356304699177_8060482166265192210_n.mp4
  7. Sounds good. I love testing stuff. This course is essentially my backyard so that makes it easy to practice, play, and review products. I'd love to test for MGS, but I always forget to be signed in when I enter .
  8. It penalizes the golfers who have put in the time and work to gain speed and distance all for the sake of the ruling bodies to control score at a handful of courses. The issue isn’t that it would penalize golf ball manufacturers because there is no requirement to make the ball, it’s why they pushed for it to be a mlr and not aan actual rule change. now the ruling bodies will have to convince the pga tour to adopt it which they won’t, the players to accept It encourage if the pga tour doenst they won’t want it for 4 tournaments out of the year and have to adjust their bag setup specifically for the ball at those 4 events. If the golf ball companies make It, there’s no penalty to them because they will pass the costs on to the consumer by raising prices of equipment since initially it will only be a ball for those who don’t pay for balls. If it does become a ball sold at retail then eventually all the current balls will be tweaked to match the mlr ball
  9. Forgot to mention that I took 6 8 pw to the fitting because they didn’t say bring a 7 iron as the fitting is with a Ping 7 iron, ideally I’d like another 2 Brands fittings so I can have some better data to compare them with my mizuno irons. Then I can make an informed decision on if I upgrade my current irons, busy busy lol…
  10. I have had mine for about two years now and I love it! Mine has the “ice chest” below and it is good but dose not hold as much with ice as my cart bag. Easy to roll and is good on hills. You can also add the electric drive wheels if you have $800. To fork out.

  12. Every time I see a set of Vapor Pro irons going for ridiculous prices in local buy sell groups it takes all I have to not fold and just buy them.
  13. Interesting! I also play the Callaway Rogue ST Max LS 9° since last season and was fitted into one of their stock shaft offering: Aldila Rogue White 130 MSI 70X. I have about the same swing speed as you do but recently started strugling with a too much spin (2.7k-2.9k rpm). My guess is my spin loft (mainly due to my dynamic loft) is higher than your 10.6° which is very good! I tried the Srixon ZX5 LS MKII and ZX7 MK2 (because I'm a self proclaimed gear nerd and will try about every new shiny club that comes out on the market): The stats were simply amazing! Given the price point of current Srixon drivers in comparison to that of other OEMs, I would not be surprised that they acquire an important part of the market starting right now. If I ever find a deal or am able to sell my current Callaway for a decent price, I would definitely be tempted by the Srixon ZX5 LS MKII or the ZX7 MKII (mostly because of the movable weights). It's noce to have feedback from somebody that did this exact change.
  14. Hello! My name is Dave and I am a relatively new forum member (joined a few months ago) but have found myself getting more involved and loving it. I currently live in the Northern Virginia area (Fairfax) and have been playing golf since I got my first clubs as a birthday present in second grade! My current set of clubs have been with me since my high school and college days, but they have served me well! As some of you may have seen in other threads, I am looking at options to upgrade my clubs, but for now, this is WIMB. I was able to go to a Ping demo day around this same time and fell in love with the brand. Driver, 3W and 7W: Ping G2 Blue Dot, Stiff Flex Shaft Irons: Ping Eye 2 Red Dot, Regular Flex Shaft, 3-SW — at one point, the set included a 1 and 2 iron which were always fun for the 1-2 range days a year that I tried to hit them Wedge: Cleveland CG14 60* Wedge (added later after I found myself consistently trying to hit 50% power SW shots into greens) Putter: Ping Sedona with SuperStroke Slim 3.0 grip Bag: BigMax Dri Lite Hybrid Tour — replace a Ping Hoover Vantage bag earlier this year (I wasn’t joking about loving the whole brand) Golf Ball: Vice Golf Pro — currently playing the red and blue drip colorway I have two children (7 and 4) with my oldest having started taking golf lessons over this past winter, which has reinvigorated my love of the game. I have always played consistently, I have been in a weekly golf league for the past 5 years or so and before that would play regularly with friends or pickup groups. My best ever round was a 76 at FoxCreek Golf & Raquet Club in Lorain, OH (this was the course I learned to play golf at, and played consistently through summer camps and tournaments throughout my childhood). Thanks for reading!
  15. I think everyone struggles w this. I know I certainly do. I worked a lot over the winter w my Skillest coach using a smart ball to develop a feeling of connectedness and keep my flying elbow in. I wish I was allowed to take it to the course. I’ve been listening to a lot of Jon Sherman and Lou Stagner podcasts this winter and am trying to apply their thoughts on expectation setting during the round. The course is always going to be different from practice. For me it’s very much from a climate controlled environment during the winter working on finding repeatable positions to outside w wind and rain and uneven lies and distractions and… well, it’s just different. In practice I’m trying to make a 12 foot putt ten times in a row (on a perfectly smooth level mat) before I quit - on the course I know that is statistically highly improbable so I’ll be happy if I leave myself a tap in and not beat myself up for missing the birdie. In practice I can think about multiple things. On the course, once I’m over the ball I can really only think about my target. I’m fifty-five and my homemade swing didn’t get into the shape it’s in over night. Took years of bad habits. I’m learning I’m not going to fix it overnight. It’s going to be incremental. It’s a process. If I can be better w my posture on the driver, slow my backswing and keep my elbow tucked I’m going to consider that a success - for May and June… But what do I know, I’m a work in progress. If you figure it out, bottle it for sale or write a book.
  16. Had one for a little bit, I never got along with it at all. I seem to have that problem with TM drivers. Gave it to my son, who immediately got rid of it in favor of a Cobra he still has in the bag.

  18. These are my ideal irons for my next set based on looks alone. They're just gorgeous. Only downside is that I can't seem to find anyone around here that has them to try them or get fitted.
  19. I use this brand of iron head covers and I like them a lot.
  20. I think I have been converted. I won pro shop credit this week in a tournament and my only thought was "buy as many Pro V1s as you can." With the changes going on at Snell at the moment, I KNOW the Pro Vs are a great ball and work for me. Yes they are expensive and it is unlikely I would see a HUGE drop off with Vice or Snell but, when money is no object, I go for the Pro V1s every time. They just make an excellent and reliable product.
  21. PXG 0311P Gen 4, 5-AW, 1 degree up and plus 1”, True Temper Elevate Tour X shafts. Great shape, faces have zero wear, soles really just have brush marks from the mat. They were built to .5” and I added a .5” extension to try out that can be easily removed if you want to cut them or take them back down to factory length. Only 2 outdoor rounds, bought in the fall to test them out in the sim over the winter, but going to stick with the gamer set. Let me know if you have questions or want more pics. $Sold, buyer pays shipping and PayPal fees.
