Not a good day, but better than I've shot in the last two!  Unfortunately, something bad has infiltrated my swing and chipping.  I finished stronger with pars on four of the last five holes.

image.png.df3d02f061a6d68f75594f3e5bfa5ce2.png

I was in position too many times to get up and down and didn't.  My putting was actually better than the 25 putts that show.  I must of lipped out on at least 4 or 5 putts.

At the end of next week I travel to Jacksonville for a Plastics Pioneers meeting.  We're playing one of the Hall of Fame associated courses.  Since I don't want to take a tour of St. Augustine, I decided to find a driving range or practice area, hit some balls and maybe seek professional help on what's happened to my swing.  We'll see what happens!

Best Ball portion of the Member-Member Tournament. It is a beautiful sunny afternoon. 65° with a 17 mph wind. However, tee times were at 9am and it was 50° 25mph wind. Rained all night and still drizzling until noon. It was pretty brutal conditions and tough pin placements. I shot 85 and my teammate shot 89, but we combined for a 78. 1 stroke out of first place in our flight. We didn’t win, but we are still in it.

We started on hole 7, and I played really solid golf for 11 holes, while my teammate played pretty well on the last 9 holes. We only both screwed up the same hole once, on what is normally an easy hole but was dead into the wind today.

I hit 11/14 Fairways. Only 3 greens. 30 putts. I changed to the Odyssey putter for today based on my pre round warm ups. I had 2 three putt doubles. The course played extremely long today. Also used the Stealth + set to 10.5° because I knew there would be no roll and wanted the extra spin to make sure I was in the fairway.

Tomorrow is a shamble. I’m really looking forward to this because my teammate plays up a tee box. I’ll report back, but I can’t post the score here.

Also, I don’t understand how I can post all my scores and have some well under my handicap, and go from a 10 to am 11, but for the tournament it is an 11.

First round with the Callaway Paradym Irons. These irons are easy to hit and extremely long. In fact, I need to get used to these new yardages!

Played the 1st 9 at Colonial Terrace, birdied the #2 (hardest handicap) but double bogey later at #7 after a pulled drive OB. 39 was good for +1 net. Ran out of daylight.

Today I booked the cheapest 9 holes riding I could find and cut through the wind and puddles, only one on the course at Cream Ridge GC played in 1 hour 20 minutes, playing 2 balls on multiple holes. Control was excellent 6/7 FW using XR driver at 9.5° and TS2 at 12° and the Oncore Elixir as my scoring ball. Hit 3/5 FW with Srixion Z Star Duo as well comparing the 2 balls for the official forum test.

2x 3 putts kept me from breaking 40, ended up 41 to add to the 39 from Wed.

I played really well for me today! First time I've played the reds at Rea, and I really enjoyed it! It's a really wide open course that lets you attack as hard as you want. Accomplished a goal I've had since childhood and got an eagle putt on hole 16.... and then 3 putt. Because of course I did. But still, really good round for me, second time breaking 100.

A great great great ballstriking day and a below average putting day. Loving Hawaii but struggling on the bermuda here. Sorry to post all these pictures but this place is insane.

Very strange round.  Wind in the 20+ MPH range throughout the day.  Hit 9 fairways and 4 greens.  Wind ate up almost every approach shot and my usually reliable chipping took the day off.  14 bogeys, 3 pars and 1 eagle.  Parred the #1, #2 and #7 index holes.  All 3 par putts literally hung on the lip for birdie.  If we were measuring made putt lengths today I believe I would have totaled less than 25 feet for all 18 holes.  Longest putt I made today was 3 feet for bogey.  The eagle came within a foot of being an albatross.

A ROUGH round, my leaky fade was back today, and with the course starting to dry out but still marsh-like in some areas the rough has grown out to new heights.  Putting was good today and wedge play kept my score from ballooning higher.

Much better day today.  Only had 3 tee shots wander to the right.  Longest drive of the day was actually my 3wood, drive the green on a short park 4 and had 4 birdies carded on the day.  The greens were just punched last week so the putts were slower than usual and I think the sand held up the breaks but all in all a considerably better round than yesterday. Playing Pacific Grove Links tomorrow, looking forward to the wind. 😊

My Tee shots and long game were generally awful today, which is annoying as that’s usually my strength. Thankfully my approach and short game saved me and I scrambled well to a decent final score. One week, eventually, I’ll put it all together in the same round 🙂

Quite please to be getting double points for using GolfShot as it’s currently my main app…I’ve got some Arccos sensors on order though that that’s about to change!

Rough round. Apparently I forgot how to chip in the week since I last played. I was also trying out the Golfshot app. Initial impressions are mix. I'll post more about it in the Golfshot testing thread.

This was also my first round with the OnCore Vero X1s that I'm testing. They felt pretty good. Obviously the issue today was me. Greenside was bad and I just wasn't focused.

Back to back 54 nines. 3 total pars. 8 lost balls. Ugh. Hope 4 is still my nemesis. At this point it’s mental. Should have had another par today as I was trying to finish not stepping in guys line and whiffed a putt. Ugh. Bunkers are my downside still. Went it two and took 5 shots to get out total.
best hole of day was 9 (although 1 was good too). Second shot was in the rough but sitting up enough. Tried to hit a hooky 7w and hit a low bullet to back rough of green (shot was also to uphill green). Biffed the chip but still two putter for par.

As for the golf shot app. For what it does not bad. It picks up most shots and makes a decent guess on club used. The swing ID I think is total garbage. I look after I hit and the shot shape I saw doesn’t match the path. Tempo is pretty good but that’s about it. I won’t go ahead and keep the pro version. Shot scope to me is far superior.

A great great great ballstriking day and a below average putting day. Loving Hawaii but struggling on the bermuda here. Sorry to post all these pictures but this place is insane.

Been really struggling lately, just got to keep on swinging and telling myself progress isn't linear! Feel like my out to in is definitely getting better but my ball contact is just troublesome now.IMG_8485.jpeg.6c0099d2176f1080da7f4eaf7d117ccd.jpeg

Played one of our course this morning and had a great round. The course is in great shape and a little practice on the range help me with my new Irons. I had 10 GIR and 2 natural birdies. I also had one OB and one water shots on my drives. The scoring could have been better. Very happy with the results today.

Nothing special today; just didn't get into trouble.  I'll take boring golf.

I said I would report back on my tournament. Short version was 1 up lead with 6 holes to play. I had a putt to win or tie the next 5 and did not get it done. We went into the last hole 1 down with 71 yards from the pin at the front of the green. I flew the green and had 30 yards to comeback over a seemly mountain.  Got up and down for par, but they birdied. Came in 3rd which paid $0.

Drives were great - straight every time I needed them to be. Unfortunately, I still haven't remembered to hit my approach shots to the actual distance. I'm so use to playing it short and letting the ball roll out. After basically a week of rain, our greens can actually be held more often than not! This put me in another bad position since the weakest part of my game is chipping. More so lately than in the past. Putting was also off. Some greens were  still pretty quick, others very fuzzy and slow.

Killed my long drive on #17 with a tailwind but again, 1 week of rain. I didn't get much rollout. Still broke 300 with it though. Couldn't be happier with the contact and ball flight.

Another awful day off the tee. Driver and 4 wood just sucked. I was too stubborn to not use them as I need to get it under control;. Hopefully I’ll get it figured out by Wednesday as I am playing Pumpkin Ridge.
