I'm needing to replace my grips on my irons and wedges. Looking for a soft but not spongy midsize grip. Of course I'm wanting the cheapest grips I can find without being junk. I know you guys have suggestions.

I changed over to the Super Stroke blue/yellow letters, think they go for $8.00 ea.

Don't see changing anytime soon.

I just put MCC Plus4 on all of my irons, and the regular MCC on my wedges. Couldn't be happier. I really like the lack of taper in my irons, I tried gripping with less pressure and wow, it actually does make a difference. I thought it was just marketing, but I think I got a couple extra yards.

The Lamkin Crossline grips are a nice bang for buck grip that feels similar to what you're searching. One nice thing is they come in a variety of colors as well for $4-6 each.

 

I play the black/white checker on my driving clubs and orange ones on my wedges. All mid size.

+1 for the Plus4s haha. Have these on my irons and they're great. Still need to convert my wedges over. Have been considering the Super Stroke grips with some wraps to imitate the Plus4 size, just not sure yet.

My favorite cheap grip is the tackimac knurled std size or the herringbone midsize. I don't know if I would call them soft but they are very tacky and last a long time. eBay is the cheapest

If you want ease and tack, go with pure grips and just use an air compressor to install. They are a little more expensive, but super fast and no more grip tape it solvent (except what you have remove from your current grips)

Grips are something not to go cheap on, but you don't hafta spend $10-12 per

 

Check eBay, sets of 13 for $60 or less

I actually prefer the thinner grips in my wedges - feels like I get more ... feel. In the rest of my irons though, no doubt I'm probably going to game the Plus4s until they get dethroned. I wish they had a white/black one though, like in the regular MCC.

Yeah, it just blends right into the shaft, not my personal preference

Check out the Golf Pride CP2 midsized and CP2 Pro midsize.A little sifter and easier on gloves and hands then the multicompound golfprides.

is the best bang for your buck. I tried the pure pro, it's like holding a really soft swishy marshmallow. GP is always a good grip, but unless you buy the cheap wrap they are all 8-12 bucks per. eBay is good place to look, you can usually find a set for a good price.

If you're on the app or Tapatalk, you can click on the button that looks like a mountain and voila. I think the MGS app requires you to hit the "+" sign first, then you'll see the photo option.
