Still on the struggle bus, but working through it. I can live with some chunks with my wedges. But I cannot get off the tee box to save my life.

Nothing from me for a couple of weeks. Had a minor operation and have 20 stitches in my back, so no golf for 2 - 3 weeks.

 

If it was only 9 stitches this could have been my front 9.

And this would have been the back 9

Strokes Gained compared to 5 handicap. Pretty average round for where the game is right now. Driving is mostly good (though not always sure what the shot shape is going to be), approach and short game solid, and putting needs improvement. Offseason practice seems to have helped, scores so far this year are a little better than where I ended 2023 - always love seeing practice pay off!

For a change of pace decided to play a tee box up, off the whites.  3 birdies, 30 putt round with longest drive 248 yards.  The new L.A.B. DF3 is performing very well in early testing.

lol, was all over the place with doubles, bogeys, pars, birdies and an eagle.  Missed lots of 10' putts. Which I make lots of the time.  And it was quite windy out.  Ah well always another day.  Going out again today so well see.  Trying out the new Spark golf league at our course.

I played the back nine twice today as they were aerating the front for the first (of many times) this summer.  That would yield:  rating 68.0, slope:  125/

I've continued my decent play.  If I could hit some 5-8 ft. putts, I'd would have been in the 70's again today.

  

It was a very consistent round.  I shot 40/40.  My fairways in regulation was not my best, though my misses were not more than a few feet in the rough or just into a fairway bunker.  I had the same greens in regulation, 22%, which is pretty good for me.  The 30 putts was uncharacteristically high for me.  However, I don't think they mowed them in the last few days in preparation for being aerated.  Needless to say, they are not in the best of shape!  The two up and downs on each side is about "normal."  

I'm glad I got this round in today as the next several rounds will be on fully aerated and top-dressed sanded greens, so who knows where the ball is going to go!

Played really well today in a practice round for my competition on Thursday. Not played here before and some of the holes are brutal! As you can guess from the name, it’s on a hill, and some of the slopes are huge
