I already have Jumbomax small and medium grips on woods and hybrid to figure out what works best for me. I've been using them since last Fall. I really like how they quieten my wrists.

I went to the range today and this XS STR8 grip (very little taper) feels very nice. I think this size might be a winner for my irons and wedges, if not the whole bag. I want to try another size STR8 grip- ideally small and medium- on a couple of clubs first before committing to a full set. But I'm already sold on the minimal taper on the STR8. With the ultralight, the Arccos sensor blends in pretty well too. Much better than the fat rounded butt of the standard Ultralight Medium grip on my 3W and 3H.lol

Recently bought a 50g weight for my Superstroke grip! Didn't think it would make much of a difference, but I really enjoy the feel. Has anyone else used one of these?

From counterbalancing has been a thing for a long time.  I was fit for a balanced certified weight in the 90s/early 00s.   superstroke as you know makes weights as do other smaller companies like tour lock.

Also as a huge proponent of Cleveland cbx wedges for most amateurs, i play them myself. I highly recommend considering the CBX full face 2 in 56 and 60 instead of CBX 4.

Cleveland wedges are on 2 year rotations for their lines. The CBX full face came out last year with the new RTX6, while the CBX4 is out this year with the RTX full face2. All the tech that is now in the CBX4 is everything that came out in last years wedges. Hydroblast, rougher face, upgraded utilizip and zipcore.

The full face also obviously has more grooves with a high toe and allows for more surface area for more contact. Also the full face 2 have 12° bounce in all models 54-60 with a C sole grind that takes material out of the heel and toe areas to make them more versatile round the greens. Also if you open the face, that great surface area on the face just adds to its forgiveness.

The CBX has a bounce of 14° in the 54 and 56 and 12° in the 60. The 54 and 56 also have a S sole grind while the 58 and 60 is a C grind. The differences are not major, however since you are getting a 56 and 60 the added size and forgiveness of the Fullface2 with all the same tech as the CBX4 means you gain nothing picking the newer model. The stock shafts will be the biggest difference. DG and Catalyst spinner shafts in the FF2 and KBS hi-rev and ust wedge shafts in the CBX4.

I forget which weight I put on my putter but I have one of those. I use an 8812 style putter so it makes a huge difference in overall weight balance.

I've recently signed up for a couple of subscription trials.  One is Arccos, I know that most people are familiar with the tech.  I've actually used it in the past, but stopped around 5 years ago.  I re-joined in the past couple of months on a trial basis.  I got the new sensors and I've got about 9 rounds under my belt.  I like that they've updated their analytics to focus more on shots gained.  It really makes it easy to drill down into the numbers.  Some of the numbers I were aware of, but not all.  There are definitely some eye-openers when drilling down into the analytics.  It also helps me focus on where I need to be spending my practice time on the range.

The other subscription that I signed up for is the Golf Forever program.  I got the gear and I've been working with it for about 3 weeks now.  So far, so good.  The workouts are relatively short, and they work on flexibility, balance, and strength.  The instructors are very good and walk you through the workouts step-by-step.  Even in the short time that I've been doing these, I feel like I'm gaining some strength, especially in the legs, which is critical to generating power in the golf swing.  The balance and flexibility sections are challenging, but I feel like I'm improving there as well.  

I still have a few weeks left of these subscription trials before I have to make a decision on whether or not I will continue with them.  I'm leaning towards keeping both of them for the time being.

Since my chance of winning some wedges from the Masters Pool was zero on Saturday, I went and bought a new SM9 46 deg 10F with a BV 105 Nippon shaft.  I tried it out today and it was great.  While not free it was cheaper than a SM10.

My FJ Pro SLs have taken a beating as they are my morning round shoes. I have a 2nd pair of adidas that are my walking and afternoon round shoes, but I worry about wearing them during morning rounds for they're a fabric wrap. 

Bought this bad boy and let me tell you, IT FRICKIN WORKS. Walked 18 yesterday morning and it was a bit on the drier side, but man did my adidas still look as good as new when I got to the car after my round. I'll be spraying this on ALL of my sneakers and golf shoes going fwd.

Dry socks, no dirt embedded into the fabric of the shoes, and the water literally just beads up on the shoe itself.

I was wandering through the golf store when I suddenly realized that there were so many things there that needed to be adopted. As a result, I unselfishly adopted a new pair of ECCO G5s. It had been days since my pair of Skechers died, and I thought the best thing I could do to hold their memory dear in my heart was to adopt a new pair. 

I also collected new golf shirts and pants as they also seemed lonely at the store in the discounted area. I was worried the bad people at the store would destroy them if I didn't adopt them, so I was really feel like I was doing the world a favour.

I couldn’t agree more, although if my wife finds out how much I’ve spent on golf stuff recently I think there’s a very good chance of me being murdered, even without picking up a hitchhiker!

I went ahead and purchased the Furijuka Ventus Blue 6-R shaft. It came in yesterday, and it is amazing! It has a smooth swing, penetrating ball flight, and tight dispersion, and I didn't feel like the club was twisting at impact.

Its been a good off season for the game and upgrades:

• Promoted this year (LT, USN) so bought myself a Garmin S70 as a promotion gift.
• Coworker is moving, recently got new clubs and gifted me his old set: 5-PW,AW Rogue Pro, True Temper S300 Shafts
• Wife went 50/50 on a new putter for my birthday, so just placed my order for a LAB DF3!! Green, 3 bar alignment (M), Standard shaft, Press II 3* textured grip.
• Pulled my old GoPro out of storage and got everything set up to start filming my practice sessions and my rounds so i can look back later at what I'm doing wrong.

Was in the market for a Melin Links collection hat, but unfortunately they sold out my size before I could stomach 70$ for a hat.

I have one in mine with a Fatso 5.0 to really go all in on the counterbalance I have always liked that setup to try and quiet my hands and reduce twisting the face

After rocking a cheap hand-me-down door prize bag for as long as I've been golfing, I finally pulled the trigger on a new bag. After a lot of deliberation I went with the Stitch SL2.

Found out shortly after placing the order that we will be walking in our new league, so I'll get a chance to really test this thing out.

Driver tech in a hybrid? I'm intrigued. Not sure it finds a permanent spot in the bag but his feels like it could be an absolute weapon for long par 3s or when I'm feeling squirrely on the teebox. Love that it can be adjust 1 degree strong to 2 degrees weaker. Gonna take some time to find the perfect set-up but love the idea of a club I know will get up easy and have some pop.

First off, congratulations on your promotion! Green color from L.A.B. looks fantastic, I'm really excited to hear from the MGS reviewers about how it stacks up to other models/brands.

Grabbed this Srixon 7 wood from Callaway preowned and while its long, it has a much smaller head than expected. Much smaller than my GBB 7wood. However, It seems to be about 5 yards longer. Came with a riptide shaft for $90.  Not sure if it will replace the Great Big Bertha just based on the smaller face but havent mishit it yet and it looks awesome squaring up behind the ball.

I bought one of those a couple years ago and haven't looked back.  I even tried taking it out a couple of times, but my putter just didn't feel the same. It really helps me smooth out my tempo.

I’ve been looking for a pair of new shoes for a while and really liked the FJ HyperFlex Carbon but couldn’t bring myself to spend £190 on them. Whilst doing my usual trawl of EBay golf stuff I came across a pair of them, in my size, for £130 as they had been worn once so bought them

You can’t even tell they’ve been worn and look brand new!
