I've been attempting to watch on the USGA app and find it severely lacking from the experience you get with the Masters app. It froze on me last night and today I can't get it to go full screen.

I tried to watch a little on my phone while I was at work and the stream was geo-blocked. Not sure where they thought I was.... I agree on your other point - the Masters app experience is the gold standard.

To be honest, I've had a hard time figuring out which network I'm watching on TGC.  Suddenly it USA, then being switched over to Peacock, back to USA, now NBC (which I think is Peacock).  The last handoff was the end of my viewing for today.  I'm now watching the Meijer Classic.

I miss the days when you selected ABC, CBS, or NBC to watch sports. Then, if you really wanted to get crazy, flip up that UHF antenna and see those esoteric networks .

Pulling for Morikawa, Homa and Kuchar to make the cut... it's been a really weird year in pro golf.

I enjoy when these tournaments are on the West Coast because it's primetime for me.  I was supposed to play today but one of our employees had a stroke and I had to attend to her.  I've basically been watching golf coverage on and off all day.  Kind of have the blahs now from it.

 

Some great golf for sure.  I prefer to see it a bit tougher but it is what it is and the leader board is awesome.

I have a smart TV and have Peacock. $4.99 month. Have watched all day coverage yesterday and today. Not sure what happens on Saturday and Sunday but pretty sure it’ll be on NBC. I cut cable years ago and use antenna and a few choice streaming services. Of course need internet access with Wifi.

Is everyone that was worried about setup satisfied?  If the weather holds  I'm going to guess we don't see a whole lot of movement downward in the scores from here.  Also, 18 is going to be interesting with the Sun in the leaders eyes coming home the next two days.

The first 2 rounds produced more bogeys than I thought they would, particularly today.

Part of me thinks the more looks you give these guys at the same windows, the handful who are in the zone will tune it in over the weekend. 

I'm sticking with my guess of -16 winning it, and I'm going to say it's going to be someone currently outside the top 5 coming from 4+ strokes back.

Didn't quite watch as much as I wanted last night with work and first night with baby being home. Thankfully it was good and hoping that the trend will continue. However Ivan and I had a decent setup!

I believe NBC owns peacock so they will have have exclusive coverage of the weekend on premium subscriptions.

NBC coverage starts at 1:00 which is 11:00 LA time so most of the weekend coverage will be on NBC.  Yes, Peacock is owned by NBC and they seem to be carrying only about an hour or so of exclusive coverage.

Maybe not bold but I think the leader at the end of the day will be -12 and it won’t be Fowler.

I agree that Fowler won't be the leader,   but I think course will play more difficult and -9 will be the lead.

Alright - I will go the other way - I think that the leader after today will be at -8 and that anyone at -7 tomorrow night wins outright.  

 

We've seen a number of tournaments of late where the lead has backed up over the weekend.  You know that they are setting up this course tougher now that the field is reduced.  All it will take is some sun and a bit of wind and a US Open will break out in full force.

 

Regardless I'm hoping for a leaderboard like this one all the way through.  I'm excited because just saw the tee times and I will be home when the leaders tee off - I have church at 6 PM, normally home by 7:30 eastern.

The limb I go out on is that the lead stays at -10.  I think the afternoon is going to be tough and it will be all they can do to hold on.  It's supposed to hit 80, be sunny all day, and the back 9 is super exposed.  They were lightly watering the greens this morning.  I think they're scared it could get stupid.  Particularly with the pin sheet I saw posted.  Some of these are nasty.  Who's ready for the 78 yard # 15!!!!

PS:  I'm stunned that people are going for the green on 6 this morning.  Though Rahmbo just showed the way to do it by chipping instead of putting from the top of the green to the pin...  still rolled 10' past the hole.

Peacock had coverage from 1pm all the way through today. looked up the future coverage on the app and it’s the same coverage tomorrow. Just an FUI for those interested

I did not know that Min Woo Lee is Minjee Lee's brother. I never made the connection,  I just heard it while watching the Meijer Classic (BECAUSE PPV COVERAGE OF THE OPEN SUCKS ).  Now that would be a killer pairing at next years planned LPGA/PGA team event.  Rickie and Lexi better bring their A-games.

Alright I know everyone has gripes and opinions on broadcasts. But I cannot stand listening to Paul Azinger. He’s way too nit picky on shots and it seems like he never has anything positive to say. Not to mention he’s already miscalled a handful of putts and lies. Okay Rant over
