Really great round today with @Itzpiiz. Played a desert course, greens were crazy fast but rolled so true. Really fun winds to play in, lots of swirls. Got to play with a couple buddies I haven't seen in over a year too. Had a couple birdies, and one eagle look. Had a couple deep bombs, and approaches but the greens were just so slick. 

What a drive!

Just a solid round of golf. Good ball striking. The putter started out slow, but caught on fire late in the round. One putted the last four holes. Pretty happy with the progress in my game!

Unreal way to finish out the round, really great score!

Played with Dad, walking a course I find to be a long walk. One other in our group was playing blue tees, so I joined him. 6200y is a good challenge for me. Ultimately this day it got the better of me 8/13 FW 5/18 GIR 39 putts lost 3 OB.

Slow pace of play contributed to a high score here. Kept the ball in play throughout until a pull off the tee on the par 3 #14 with a 4h. Only lost that 1 ball. 5/12 FW 3/18 GIR 34 putts.

Hit one perfect drive, with a gallery of people at the turn on the par 5 #10. Proceeded to walk up to 220y into the green and hooked my 3w under a tree. Punched out beautifully with my 2i, but the ball rolled over the hole and off the back of the green to leave me short sided. That sort of day.

I believe yesterday I reached a crescendo of suck that I hope is the end of that period in my golfing experience. 

2/6 FW 7/18 GIR 43! Putts!

Yes, 43 putts including a personal record 7x 3 putt.

11 strokes worse than my best score at this course, and about 10 strokes worse in putting compared to my season average. If I had brought just my average putting I could have scored a number I felt good about. But I couldn't read greens at all.

Good driving and putting day. 28 putts.  Rest was ok.  4 over on the par 3s which is unusual for me.  Did smoke the first tee shot though.

Good rebound from Monday.  I stayed in the moment and executed better shots.  Only 6 mph wind from the E didn't gain much driver distance, but 4 wood from short par 4s were effective.  Back-to-back birdies help me get a personal course record.  Scrambled well on an 80° cloudy day.

First time at this course and it definitely lived up to the reputation I had heard about it. I was on point with every tee shot, save for one that flew too far into a bunker. The main issue I had today was on the greens. It was like putting on ice on these greens and they were hard to read as well. Overall, a good round but there is definitely room for improvement.

Couldn't get anything going on the front nine but brought it back with 7 pars on the back.  The greens were just punched a week ago, so they were rolling slow and it was a little like playing plinko. But it was still a day of golf.

It was a hot day 98+ and I had a difficult front side.  A few bad breaks had me leaking out of bounds. I was able to keep away from penalties on the back.  Overall a beautiful day and can’t wait to get back out when it cools off a bit.  Heatwave down in Louisiana has been serious.  In the early afternoon it feels like I am standing on the surface of the sun.
