Best Golf Logos

Recommended Posts

I saw this Barstool Sports article (forgive me, my friend sent it to me) about the top 10 courses that this guy has played that make other people jealous. These weren't necessarily the best courses to play, but rather the courses that would strike envy into your golf buddies when they see you wearing a polo or hat with their logo on it.

This made me start wondering about what the best golf course logos are. It seems like everyone has a different opinion when it comes to their favorite, so I would like to see which logos you think are best!

Feel free to just post photos of your favorites and/or give explanations for why they top your list!

Here are some of mine (in no particular order):

I love this logo simply because it's a bucket list course for me and would probably eat my lunch, but it's so beautiful!

I'm playing it in October! It'll definitely eat my lunch but I can't wait

Adding a couple since I was able to visit Sand Valley last year. Really love their Sandbox (par 3 course) logo:

Sand-Valley-Sandbox-Logo.png.972a040347df39a00ac1dc3f5866583e.png

And unfortunately I wasn't able to play their new Lido course but their logo is also pretty awesome:

These probably aren’t as well know but having played them and the history around them are pretty cool and I like their logos

image.png.1749ac89026efe03484de7f34feaf35c.png

Glenn Riddle Golf club him of 2 courses: Man O’ War & War Admiral. Both courses are named after triple crown winning horses and you play through an old starting gate on one of the holes and the old horse track has been made into a big circular bunker butting up to a couple fairways.

The ruark golf courses in MD are a great trip for anyone in the east coast. I’ve played them a bunch and always have fun  I’ll post a picture of the Rum Pointe apparel logo later which is one of my other favorites

This is where my fantasy retirement would be.. I would play out my string here in a heart beat…Fantastic isolation, in the middle of Cartel territory, two hundred miles from the nearest Wally World and close to one hundred miles from the closest McDonalds. Just a magnificent beautifully brutal area with the best killer public golf course in Texas.

I love the Whistling Straits logo, it reminds me of one of the best books I've read.

I would recommend it to anyone who's a fantasy junkie, but I would probably wait about 10 more years since that's about how much longer it's going to take him to finish the last book.

@GolfSpy_APH have to agree on the MGS logo, since I've found it my enjoyment of the game and sharing it with others has vastly improved.

It's funny how awesome some of the Sand Valley logos are and yet their main one looks like some kind of cheesy open-heart necklace from the mall (do they still have mall jewelry stores?).

image.png.3e5e7c0c6458079a2e5036a97226d04f.png

Can't go wrong with Mammoth Dunes though.  They picked a winner there.

image.png.46d7dbf253de7ab19043c802e919cc0d.png

My favorite logo though is probably from Interlachen Country Club.  It's pretty basic, but it reminds me of the few times I was lucky enough to play the course and see the spot where Bobby Jones skipped his niblick over a lily pad on his way to winning the 1930 US Open and the 3rd leg of his grand slam.  They even have a small plaque in the fairway for the spot he hit from.

image.png.8f126ef7f4a67b3cc00d21ba2726728a.png

During the second round of the 1930 U.S. Open at Interlachen Country Club outside Minneapolis, Bobby Jones attempted to reach the par-5 ninth hole in two. Just as he began his downswing, Jones saw out of the corner of his eye two young girls sprinting into the fairway. Jones flinched, and his ball, badly hit, seemed destined to go only halfway across a lake in front of him. The ball, however, struck a lily pad and bounded forward, free of the water and only 30 yards short of the green. This dose of Jones magic—and the fairly routine birdie that resulted—was consequential. He won that U.S. Open, his fourth, by two strokes over Macdonald Smith.

Agreed on SV logos - I love all of these EXCEPT for the main one. Sedge Valley has a chance to be the best onsite (Lido is my current fav):
