Hey @jlukes I'm pretty sure this supposed to be a porn-free thread here.

Hopefully by the end of the weekend

And could my irons get any more Japanese?

Yes, they can. Give them to me and they're automatically 25% more Japanese 🙂

I mean, not Epon level Japanese, but close enough 😉. To be honest @yungkory I'm a little disappointed I haven't received the text from you telling me you bought a set of these already 🙂

Waiting to hear about the Truespec experience from a friend. Then I might fly up to the mainland for a little fitting vacay, or just jet down to Aloha Golf.

Based on your Arccos approach stats you might want to look at a SGI 🤣🤣

If you do land in the beautiful Cali let me know, we will see if we can tee it up.

I'll bag anything that won't randomly rocket an extra 10 yards.

Only iron that I have ever owned that doesn't is a Mizuno.

Best looking irons out right now. I am a little biased though

The Tours definitely are the best looking of the bunch, but out of my league.

So just came back from the fitting and ended up with 919F with Modus 105 stiff. Standard LLL.

Are the grips also no upcharge? My fitter said the MCC Align Plus 4 costs nothing extra, another pro shop said it's extra.

I was expecting big gaps with the HMP, but there weren't any. So the 919F flow right into my wedge gaps without needing to bend them.

Been a while boys, finally settling in Little Creek after a long and brutal PCS. I’ve been playing the 919 Forged for a couple months. Love them. The feel is vintage mizzy.

I hit my Hot Metal Pro 9 iron (40*) 170 yards today when I finally flushed one. That’s not good. That’s way too far. I’m glad I don’t flush many....

I was surprised you went with a full set of those. You're plenty long with normal clubs.

Any comments on the quality of sand wedge? Thinking of getting 5-SW but not sure how well the SW will perform.  I dont struggle with sand shots but would like something easier on full shots.

So after having them for the better part of the week, I finally got to spend some time with my set. Definitely no honeymoon stage. Snuck out for 9 holes today and really struggled with the irons. My setup is 5/6 HMP and then 7-AW Forged, all bent a degree strong. Ironically still shot a 39...putting and chipping saved me ha.

Came home and set up the skylark and put grabbed my CF16 Gap wedge and the 919F Gap wedge and hit 10 shots each. Realized my swing in general was lousy. Threw on some impact tape and was hitting everything out near the toe. Worked on it a bit more and started to see more consistency.

Plus side though is once I started making better contact, the ball just flies off the 919 line. In my limited testing with them, misses are a little more harsh compared to my CF16 line, but when struck well the 919 forged were carrying 5-7 yards longer on the skytrak compared to my CF16's. Really curious to see how these fair when it comes to smart distance/playing distance.

Might have to jump on the skytrak again tonight and get a bag mapping in before I leave for vacation tomorrow.
