WEDNESDAY… The day of split personalities. Is it looking forward to what might be or backwards to what was? Whichever, good morning my spies. 
   The good news of Wednesday is that I am free of “ Those People “ for the rest of the month. They are not real big on having to “ double “ my pittance to call me out after my scheduled time load. 
    The bad news for Wednesday is that the purge and confiscation of my stored ( hidden, but obviously not well ) antiquated golf gear by the “ She Scourge “ continues. I will readily admit to not remembering that I had these or where the family’s female investigator found them.. But Come on y’all, isn’t anything sacrosanct? I have no idea what the Royal of Repurposing is planning with these, but hopefully they won’t be publicly embarrassed by their new station in life.  

May we all have a better, much better Wednesday than my  “ former “  clubs.

Good morning spy's, 

Interesting day yesterday, we volunteered to take our 9 year old twins on a field trip, this included public transit to and from the event.

If there are any elementary teachers on this site, I send out my sincere condolences lol, just kidding, you have a big job and need lots of energy to keep up with those kids...

Today the weather is spectacular in victoria, chilly this morning 1 degree celcius but by the time I tee off at noon should be a balmy 11-12...

competitions are getting closer, interclub April 23rd, then Island Open April 27-28 (usually the 1st. tournament of the year for me) 

I get a big anxious around 7-10 days prior to the events just wondering if I am ready to perform etc. but I had a good session with my sports psychologist and have it figured out... Just my DNA and I have to "trick" it...

Anyway, hope everyone's day is great....

Good morning, Spies. Happy Hump Day!!

There is a demo day here today, but the weather doesn't look like it's going to cooperate. The demo day is 10am-2pm, but rain is supposed to start at 10am. Ugh, I was really hoping to try a few irons today so I can narrow down the options for my fitting next month. We'll see how much rain actually comes before I make the call to go or not. There's a bigger demo day on the 4th in Knoxville that I'm going to, so I do have a secondary plan, but I'd still love to try a few things today.

Anyway, nothing else to report today. Just work as normal.

The biggest snippet was my hitting angle is too steep causing a lot of toe hits. My takeaway angle was "beautiful" according to the video and the pro, and looking at the video, he was right. Club is pointed at the ball. However, seems I have this "hitch" that I do on my downswing that is causing me to steepen my angle a bit causing some issues. Solution one: the pro asked me to rate my grip tightness with my right hand on a scale of 1-10... 1 being the club would fly out of my hands on the backswing. I was definitely an 8-9: I seem to have a propensity for gripping rather tightly. He had me doing drills to loosen that grip, and after that, the dang ball went straighter and my downswing angle did shallow a bit. Still a work in progress, but I felt a lot better with the new knowledge! Now I can use my LM and video to work on the new skill set at home!

Good Wednesday morning Spies!

It is shaping up to be a grossly high humidity day warming up to near 80. Hoping to get a range session in today but will have to make it early to avoid melt down conditions later.

It appears my penance for ordering the V5 has been finally paid, after yesterday's onslaught by her highness to redistribute my finances. She has decided I need a dose of my own communication/listening failure and is not sharing the total compensation package... In other words, she has no idea how much she spent but I should consider myself fortunate as she bought it all on sale and saved me lots of money... I'm sure she feels fully vindicated by the smug smile and side eye glance I got when I asked what the damages were...

@Dead Solid Bogey Hope you can get ahead of the princess's sudden urge to repurpose your archived tools of the trade and possibly locate a secret storage facility to secure them...

Good morning spies! Well I get fixed on Friday. Surgery is scheduled for 9 am.

Next we had the equipment for solar panel installation delivered just a few minutes ago. It will be installed tomorrow. Unlike Oregon,  where if your panels produce enough power to push back into the grid you actually get paid the same rate at which the power company sells the power to you, here in Mesa it is way different. Here SRP, my utility company, screws you over if you put panels up and produce power. SRP has it set up so if you produce a lot of power the power you have to buy goes up 2 and three times the regular rate and they pay less than 3 cents for power produced.  In a desert state, with tons of sunshine this makes zero sense.,

Good morning Spies!

Another pretty nice day in Chicago as temps remain in the mid to high 60s. I wasn't able to get out to the range last night as I hoped, but we'll see about today. We're supposed to get high winds, which may make a range session less enjoyable.

Really looking forward to both the RBC Heritage and the Chevron Championship this weekend. Both great events and rooting for Nelly to make it 5 in a row to continue her historic streak!

Been a pretty chill workweek so far, so I'm hoping that continues! Have a great hump day

Heard this on PGA Tour Radio on Monday and forgot to mention it here:

Every year at the Masters, they have a media lottery and a few of the credentialed media (there are 20 winners) covering the tournament get to play ANGC on the Monday after the tournament. A good friend of mine once won that lottery for which he has my permanent envy.

Same was the case this year. One of the lottery winners was one Julia Westerman, a TV sports anchor in Columbia, SC. She got to play the course on Monday.

Here's the catch: Julia HAD NEVER PLAYED A ROUND OF GOLF BEFORE. Her first lifetime round was at ANGC.

Where do you go from there? Somehow your Columbia munis, or even the plushest country club in town, would be about five steps down.

What do you think a noob hacker would shoot at ANGC? My guess is she didn't break 200. EDIT: A reply on her Xwitter thread says she shot 129; she neither denied or confirmed it. The only detail she provided was that she bogeyed #7, just like Scottie. They play from the members tees, which apparently are about 6300 yards.

@EasyPutter I’m going through it now. I was just curious how it works outside of my state (SC) and if there’s some must play courses around the east coast I’ve never heard of. It’s a great program down here.

Each of the 17 sections has a slightly different focus and mine is the Western NY PGA Section covering an area that stretches from Erie PA to Rochester NY and from northern PA to Lake Ontario, a rather large piece of NY State on the western end and northwestern PA.

Pay attention to the threads and use the search function, there are places in the forum that do look at courses wherever MGS Forum posters live, which really is worldwide.  

If your Section offers something called Down Range Days, it is a follow on program to HOPE for HOPE graduates and it needs to be well used by graduates or it could be pulled back by National for lack of perceived need as it was piloted here and we could not get more than a 50% response to fill available "free golf" tees, believe it or not.  Hope your area does better with retaining graduates for additional free golf experiences.

This is a unique one that I am extremely excited for as it is a company many of us on the forum know, but may not know well. Their products are truly special and while this test may be a little extra work for the testers, but it will also a lot of fun for the membership to follow as they will also be tied in as part of it. Should be a lot of fun!
