There are 4 testing the milled insert face and 4 testing the white hot insert face for a total of 8 testers.

Excited to see these reviews. Another question for the testers in the milled group. Have you used many milled putters before? Why did you decide to apply for the milled vs the white hot insert?

All 8 are there! As others have said we there is another thread for the non milled testers. 

However to give a little background and reasoning as to why we do it this way. 

The reviews are long and in depth. When we have more than 4 reviews in a thread the reviews after the 4th see significant drop off in participation, views and reactions. This isn't fair to those testers that put in the work and effort for the reviews. 

The flip side is while same release time and similar technology there are very different putters and serve a different audience. Nothing against the white hot testers, but it is not a face I like or have really any interest in and I won't be chiming in there that much if at all. It is just a product that I don't want. The milled however has my attention. Splitting the threads and products like this will cater to our forum members in a more sensible way and allow readers to get to the information they want and avoid some of the clutter from the other putters.

In my case, it was a toss-up but I wanted a model that most closely emulated my current putter design.  The ER5v does not have an insert face (it has a solid milled face) but I felt the milled AI face would be the best match.  Also, I was not at all influenced by the "Blue and Gold" color scheme.

I've been a blade putter all my life and looking to change it up. I have an old White Hot 2-ball putter laying around somewhere that might work it's way into the comparison.

My current gamer is the Bettinardi BB1 which has a milled face. I really like the feel the milling provides. Less clicky than flat surface putters. I'll be curious to see if the Ai aspect does anything different with milling compared to my Bettinardi or the Scotty that my son uses.

Agreed. I have milled and non milled and the feedback and feeling is so much better than a non milled.
