Im thinking this is the best season since the first season.  Thoughts?  Don’t get me wrong I’m a fan of every season so far.

Watching Fool Me Once on Netflix.  Excellent but I always liked Coben novels.  tWife and I also liked Lessons in Chemistry on Apple.  Dau bought me the novel and about 1/3 into it and even better.  Lots more detail and some differences in subplots.

just finished up "The Crown" on Netflix. Such a well produced show. The actors were fantastic and the way they brought you through nearly 100 years of the monarchy was great.

I don't know how true it was but if a show can both entertain and inform I like it and I thought this one did a wonderful job. I learned a lot about the monarchy and British government.

Highly recommend if you haven't seen it yet.

.... now it's on to finishing up Bass Reeves. Another Taylor Sheridan joint.  BTW: is Yellowstone ever going to come back and finish??

I started True Detective season 4 and thought episode 1 was meh... it didn't really have me compelled to come back for more.

Also finished the Harlen Coben show on Netflix - 8 episodes - and it was average.

 

What are you watching that folks might have overlooked?

Just watched Netflix American Nightmare about a true Vallejo CA kidnapping that the Vallejo police, then media labeled a hoax.  Incredible. 3 episodes.

Slow Horses does not disappoint.  The only part that makes me uncomfortable is thinking that it may have more basis in real life than fiction.

Paramount+ - finished up Bass Reeves and moved on to 1923.
I'll give it to Taylor Sheridan, he knows how to make a dramatic western and he's not afraid to shock the audience....

I wish they'd finish up Yellowstone; it kind of stopped during the pandemic and it hasn't really gained any momentum since then. I know that Costner and Paramount are squabbling.

Another one I'm waiting for them to finish up is Outlander....

Wife and I just finished Rabbit Hole on Paramount+ with Keifer Sutherland. If you haven’t seen it yet, HIGHLY recommend. It is fascinating and honestly keeps you wanting the next episode.

If you haven't seen it, I cannot recommend the Bear enough.  Its the best show I've seen in sometime, and will def pull / push you emotionally in many ways.

We are watching The Designated Survivor right now on Netflix.  Great political dram w/ Kiefer Sutherland.  Too bad it only has 3 seasons.

I haven't started it yet but the first episode of season 12 of Curb Your Enthusiasm just came out so I'm excited to start that. We've also started watching The Goldbergs. I watch but am not up to date on several other shows including Ted Lasso, What We Do In The Shadows, The Afterparty, Only Murders In The Building, Upload, Invincible, Invasion, and Letterkenny.

I subscribe to Peacock and Paramount +, but solely for sports; I don't stream anything otherwise. I might make an exception when Peacock starts streaming Oppenheimer later this month. I was tempted to look at Bass Reeves because the real Reeves was based in Fort Smith, AR, where I used to live. But I never have.

Agreed, really really liked that show. I started it by myself, my wife sat down with me to finish it, and when I started it next by myself she got mad that I started it without her! It’s not usually her type of show, but she really enjoyed it too!
